Stayed at this hotel before in 2013. This year we Went one week with all inclusive. All the staff are very good and does their best. Rooms are ok and cean. Beds are good. Pool and pool area are beautiful. Never a problem finding a sunbed even tough the hotel was fully booked. If you are a Mariott member you get free wi fi in the whole hotel. Check in was a hazel. Big problem to change the names on the rooms. We where one family. Arrived late and the hotel could have provied us with a small evening snack. We had to order room service at midnight (we had all inclusive). No good service. I used the laundry service and within 12 h I had an invoice that I had to pay imidietly, within 8 more hours I had anothe one. Whats the problem here? It was a small fee of 10 USD... Never happened at a hotel I stayed at before. The balkony at the hotel room is very dirty. We chose this hotel because ofthe snorkeling wich was a huge disapointment. No fish or animals hardly and poore sight. Too bad 4 years ago it was very good. I do not recommend snorkeling here anymore. We Went to a beach furtner east by car wich the lokal dive company use and it was better. The all inclusive concep is Ok but not more. Never anythingspecial all very basic. The chefs does a good job but it´s hard with a budget. I´m a vegetarian and i miss food choices with protein at lunch and dinner. For exampel lentils, beans, cheese and tofu. At New years eve the setting was lovley around the pool area. The staff did a great job. BUT the food was terrible. Also here I wounder if I was the only vegetarian... The Entertainment was both good and bad. I also recommend a small shop with sun creams, toothbrushes etc because the hotel is very far form everything. We had a good week but will not come back bacause of the snorkeling and the food. better stay closer to Salalah. We rented a car from the Airport wich I recommend.

I liked The big space of our suite, and the lovely view. Moreover, I liked the easy exit from our suite to the swimming pool area. Since the last time I've been to this hotel, they made a great development in in this property like the walking aisle on the shore side. In the other hand, I don't like that they don't have a lot of Lifeguards especially in kids swimming pool. Moreover, they were spreading some smoke anti insects while people still swim and sit down around the pool which is not acceptable.

Visited Salalah for business and decided to stay at the Marriott, knowing that it was outside of Salalah. Regardless of this extra distance, to reach our resort, I would like to say that it was possibly one of the most memorable experiences at a hotel, I have had till date. My wife and I got a chance to unwind and enjoy great food and service at this great hotel. I would highly recommend families or couples to visit this hotel in Salalah. Further to this, I would like to thank some members of their staff who made our trip even more memorable. In the dining hall- Rateesh, Pradeep, Laxmi, Alam and Tejas and Overall - Jaffer.

Marriott really delivered on service, good food, nice pool, great weather and again, the staff working there were absolutely faboulous - fast, nice and always smiling. Good food for the all inclusive and the desserts,.. Our kids were in heaven The down side was that the beach were not kept up to par due to middle season I guess and the kingsize bed was hard, very hard.

I'm still in the hotel but I finally can say that even if courtesy and rooms are not bad, services are a disaster: last bar closing hours is around 11pm, night swimming pool is closed since 6.30 pm, extra price are crazy.. last but not least: credit card payments will be charged of 5%. I think it's a theft, considering that closest ATM is really far and that there is no other possibilities in the hotel and that the exchange rate applied in the hotel is around 12% higher than the bank one!!!

It was year 2015 when we first went to Marriott to have our lunch buffet in celebration of my first birthday here in Salalah and we were already enticed by the place. The second time we went there was to try the pool because we really find their pool as the best so far. The third time was when we booked an overnight stay with the availment of the ir voucher and we really enjoyed our stay. Marriott may be far from our place but everytime we visit it is all worth it.

Although this place is far and off the beaten path, you definitely need to have your own car to reach it and explore the beauty of Salalah. Its a good, clean hotel and really cheap compared to 5 star hotels. That is probably due to its location and its an old hotel. The green mountain is just 20 minutes from this place and will be totally worth it to do day trips around the touristic locations.

The leading staff has a very bad behaviour, asking guests to pay the rooms in advance on the reception in cash touring the check in. And the rooms were booked before through a tour destination company, means they try to get the payment twice. They asking guests for an access to the credit card before the allow the guests the enter the restaurant. Rooms are tirty and over all service is very bad. Don´t book a room in this hotel.

We visited the property during the Eid holidays - 2 families booked into 2 one bedroom chalets. Firstly, the chalets do not have WiFi. Which is very different from what we saw in the room details when we booked through Booking.com. The rooms are spacious, but not well thought through. It is a beach resort, but with no place to hang wet clothes. There weren’t enough space in the bathrooms... The property has a run down feel. My friend got an electric shock when he tried to switch on a light outside! Breakfast time was chaotic with not enough places and people to help! The management of the place was extremely poor! I don’t know how such a poorly managed property has such wonderful people working there. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly! Always with a smile. It is so hard to complain about all the problems with the property when you have such nice and pleasant people on the other side. I’m not speaking about the management team but the regular people working around the property. The location of the property is so beautiful! The place is perfect for long walks along the beach! We had a lovely holiday at Salalah. We met some nice people - including some who work at the hotel! But when it comes to staying there - it was extremely disappointing!

We stayed at Mariott Mirbat while visiting Salalah during the end of the Kharif season . It is very good for kids with a beautiful and huge swimming pool and abundant kids play area . The beach area is rocky and only for sunbathing as the water was choppy and not safe to enter the water in the midst of rocks . The staff and service was average and slow , maybe understaffed ,owing to the hotel being away from the city with no real competition. You can get fantastic rates at this hotel though and the property is fantastic.
