We had a dinner in this hotel once and were very positively surprised by very high standards that this restaurant has. Everything was perfect. And there was another suprise - one young writer told his stories. It was very unusual experience. So we recomend this restaurant.

This is a true gem hidden in the quiet yet picturesque resort of Frejus on France's Cote D'azur Staff are excellent and always on hand to provide assistance and help should it be needed Restaurant dining is a pleasure not to be missed outside on the covered patio next to the delightful swimming pool

We stayed for one night during our road trip in this charming French hotel. Upon arrival the receptionist was really friendly and checking in was really uncomplicated. The led us to our room which was in the back part of the building on the third floor. Hence, one has to walk through the bar and outdoor restaurant area with the luggage, getting really weird and disturbed looks from the other guests. They don't have a lift and we were glad we didn't have much luggage to carry up. The room was spacious with a great big window to the pool from where we could see the sun go down. Very nice. The bed was okay. Typically French. Not with a real duvet but with a simple sheet and a blanket on top. The bathroom was tiled in a bright blue and what I found really odd was the bathtub/shower. The shower head was not installed over head height but more on hip level which is a bit strange in the morning, especially without shower curtain... Internet was decently fast. When it comes to parking the hotel states that they do have parking spaces but the receptionist wasn't overly keen on telling us where. We had parked on a public parking place nearby which was free during the weekend so that wasn't a problem in the end. It was a cute small French hotel which is definitely charming. It depends on what people are looking for in terms of amenities and the equipment and state of their room. We had a good experience but I'd probably not necessarily stay there again.

The hotel is in a great location, moments from the train station and close to the main tourist attractions and the town centre. In fact, the Wednesday market is right outside the front doors. My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with excellent air conditioning on a hot July day. The bathroom towels were luxuriously big and fluffy, and the sage bath gel was very nice. I only stayed one night so did not really use many of the available facilities and I did not dine in the restaurant. However, I did have breakfast and it was excellent. First, the location is beautiful, as I sat outside near the pool and it was very peaceful. Second, the quality and quantity were wonderful. A very kind hotel employee gave a thorough explanation of everything on offer and advised that I could sit inside or outside. There was a large variety of food available: cereals, yogurt, smoked salmon, cold meats, cheeses, fruit salad (with fresh fruit coulis), other fresh fruit, pastries, several types of bread, boiled eggs, hot food (scrambled eggs, crepes, bacon), juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate -- it went on and on and was also beautifully arranged. The staff clearly make an effort to present everything at its best. The hotel would be an excellent base to explore the area around Frejus or just as a place to relax for a few days.

We stayed here for three nights. It is a little "Oasis" with a lovely swimming pool. Our room was in a separate building. We were on the 3rd floor which actually required us to negotiate six small winding stone staircases, not easy with two suitcases when you are both in your mid-seventies! Once we reached the room it was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. It had a bath-tub rather than a shower, which would not have been our choice. There was a top quality restaurant. However, we ate no meals there, not even breakfast, as it was all too expensive. We found bars and restaurants in the town. We also used buses to visit Frejus-Plage and St Raphael, both of which had good beaches and "resort-life." The location was excellent for the Railway Station. We used the hotel pool which was lovely.

We travelled to Frejus for an overnight stay with a pool. The hotel was easy to find from the train station and first impressions were of a very pretty pool/terrace area. The room was furnished in a typically Provençal style if a little plain. Sadly we'd booked to stay on a Monday when the hotel restaurant was closed, but the staff did recommend an Italian trattoria which was close by. Breakfast on the terrace on Tuesday morning was delightful.

From the moment we drove onto the forecourt to the moment we left we felt cherished, not just as customers but as new found friends. The hotel is an oasis in the heart of Frejus old town, so only a stroll from many delights and on market day, it starts right outside the front door. We had a spacious suite on the second floor overlooking the Pool and garden terrace. This is a great place to visit the Riviera as nowhere is really that far. Local beaches like Base Nature are 10 mins away, while the recently upgraded delights of the Tikki Village at Agay are maybe half an hour. However the joy of this hotel are the wonderful staff, and I mean ALL of them. Cedric, the man who compassionately and warmly informs you of everything, aided by the lovely Giusy (who also covers for Benoir, The Night Manager) - more later! The restaurant, for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner is pure class, Ably and beautifully managed by Almondine and supported by the kind and super efficient Billel. Nothing here, is too much trouble! More on Benoir, who could be the Star in our BBC, John Le Carre spy drama! At 5am, you would not expect such great service, when I frightened him out of his skin!! Mr Harris, I will bring you Fresh Coffee with Warm milk as he remembered, to any table in the garden, where for a week of early mornings I happily whiled away the hours in bliss. After he sensibly goes the charming efficient Florence looks after you so well! Making sure NOTHING is missing from the fabulous breakfast bar. Some of the best Smoked salmon and scramblers you could wish for! A waking dip, just before breakfast is a real treat in the lovely pool, even though the cleaners try to keep it closed until 10am for fear of noise awakening happy guests. This is a hidden gem of perfection, managed exquisitely, and run by a fabulous team. We are already dreaming of a return in September. Our heartfelt thanks to ALL of you at L'Arena Chris & Sue X

Hotel L'ARENA is situated in the old town of Frejus, it is surrounded by Roman ruins which gives it the feel of the time. It is in easy access of St Raphael, Cannes, Nice and Monacco. The hotel is comfortable, excellent food and warm friendly staff.

The location is great or next to the Saturday market; Didn't stay at the hotel but visited one ground floor room; the room was perfect if you have a disabled person with you. The Lunch was nice; we had 2 courses inside and 1 on the terrace next to the pool. The Manager (Amandine) helped us with the menu and she allowed us to pick any dishes which is very unusual. The whole idea wasn't to experience the 4 stars but rather park the car and walk to the market.

Nice hotel, located in de beautiful city of Fréjus. The staff is very kind and willing to help. The hotel has as small parking next to the hotel. The rooms are spacious and have all there own touch within the same style.
