If you are looking for 5 star, then this is not going to be for you, but if you are looking for a great base to explore the wonderful area of Sagunto, and somewhere with great links to Valencia, then this could be it. The room was simple, but totally functional. It could perhaps do with a little TLC, but it was clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. There was aircon which worked really well, and even though the room overlooked the station, there was very little noise during the night. Even if there had been, it would be a small price to pay for the location. This hotel has no restaurant facilities, but there are a couple of eateries close by, and a short walk will see you in the historic centre of Sagunto. Do not miss this, it is the most spectacular, but understated place!
We are on a cycling adventure from France to Portugal, the stay was not planned but very welcome. The room was €44, spacious, basic and very quiet, it had wifi, a bath, shower, bidet and loo, air con, loads of piping hot water, clean bedding and towels . No tea or coffee making facilities but there was a shop over the road where a cup could be purchased. We received a warm welcome and lots of encouragement when hauling our two loaded bicycles from street level into the foyer where they were securely stowed for the night.
We stopped in Sagunto for a night on a family trip. This hotel was exactly near the station and with a good parking area, on one of the main streets, at 10-12 mins from the ancient town. The location was very good and we decided to stop by and ask for two double rooms. The owner welcomed us very warmly, he showed us the rooms and let us choose two double rooms on the 5th floor. We had two little balconies, one with the view on the sea and one with a nice sight on the ancient roman-medieval city. The rooms were very simple but comfortable (they had even the bidet) and we spent 98 euros in total. The owner was a very nice guy. Not only he gave us a map and gave us all the information to visit the town but he also gave us very good recommendations for places to have breakfast. He and his wife were very friendly and communicative, speaking a bit English, Spanish and Italian. We enjoyed our stay in Sagunto, the non-touristic and spontaneus atmosphere and we visited the beautiful medieval castle and Roman ruins in the moonlight. We would definitely stay there again.
We stopped in Sagunto on our way to Madrid and found this small family owned hotel right next to the train station. Very simple accommodations but neat and clean. The owner, Pepe, speaks very limited English but had no trouble communicating. He was so sweet and introduced us to his wife and daughter, who does speak English. Only 44 Euros. Pepe gave us tourist map and showed us where to go. Men Next to train station, look for green and white vertical HOTEL sign. Cafe next door. We walked to the town center and went to the medieval festival and had a great time. Would definitely stay here again.
We hadn't planned on staying in Sagunto but are glad we did. The local museum and castle are well worth the visit. The hotel was small but very nice and the owner is a terrific guy. There is a nice restaurant with a friendly staff next door. For $44 it was a good deal.
We stayed there for just one night, the price was 45 eur per double room, parking spots avaialble near hotel. It's quite basic, but clean and nice.
