Okay not great

Okay not great. My favorite part was that the hotel is above the lake and there’s an easy access trail down to the water’s edge where kayakers and paddle boarders get to the lake.

We Love it Here

This is our 5th stay at Lake Natoma Inn. We come up from the Bay Area for a weekend visit in the summer and plan on being back next year. The pool area is very nice and we spend most of our day lounging under a shady tree. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and dinner and we enjoyed both. The Inn is so close to Sutter Street in Historic Folsom, where we usually go up to Scott’s for dinner and Snooks for Ice Cream. The trail behind the Inn leads down to the calm Lake Natoma, where yew sit under the shade of the bridge and watch paddle boards and kayaks go by (Lake Natoma doesn’t allow motorized boats.) We even taken floaties down and entered the water from there, but our favorite place to swim is at Black Mining Bar, which is a very short drive from the Inn. The Inn is also a short distance from the Light Rail system, which takes you to the Sacramento Amtrak and we’ve used it last summer to visit and it was a fun trip. We just can’t say enough good things about Lake Natoma Inn.

I love this little spot! Right by the American river it’s a prime location to stay and be able to park and launch for paddling or kayaking on the river.
