Absolutely beautiful home in a quiet, peaceful area. The house was spotless, with every amenity and convenience you'd need. The owner was readily available via phone (although we didn't need anything) and even left us a bottle of wine and snacks. I'll definitely rent this house again the next time I'm in the area.

We had to cancel our trip due to an unpredictable weather event. Our host, Marianne, was gracious and communicative, and I appreciated her willingness to offer a discount for a future stay if booked within 60 days. Due to rescheduling challenges with everyone involved, I wasn’t able to take advantage of rebooking within the timeframe offered. Marianne was very kind and professional throughout. I do believe she handled the situation as best she could within the platform’s rules. Thank you Marianne! Your efforts did not go unappreciated!

The house is beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful! House is fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. If ever in the area again, would love to stay again. Came with 6 adults and it was spacious, roomy and comfortable

This house was beautiful and clean. The host was very nice- we appreciated the bottle of wine left for us! It is well appointed. We unfortunately booked what would be the coldest weekend of 2026 (with wind chills below zero). The copious amount of space heaters could not compensate for the cold temperatures. Pretty sure the heat in the main level stopped working at some point during the weekend. Multiple layers of clothes were required for sleeping comfortably, and some bedrooms were so cold that they couldn’t be used. Luckily, we didn’t have so many ppl in our party that we needed all the rooms. From reading other reviews, it sounds like this house would be perfect in better weather, but would not recommend in winter.

Wonderful house

We stayed here on a snowy weekend and loved it. Beautiful house with plenty of bedrooms and a nicely updated kitchen. It had all the amenities we needed and was very comfortable. Will definitely come back!

This place is the best, and the host is absolutely top-notch. I am a return customer to this property, and I will return again when I visit the beautiful Catoctin Mountains next fall. If you are looking for a wonderful place with quick access to western Maryland and southern Pennsylvania, this is your smartest choice.

Great house for a group of friends!

This was a lovely choice for our ladies' weekend! We had a group of 8 of us. Everyone had their own bed and the rooms were big enough that even those of us sharing rooms had plenty of room. The living room, kitchen, and dining room provided wonderful places to hang out together. Kitchen is well equipped. House is a bit older, so you have to slam the upstairs bathroom doors to get them to close, but not a big deal. Very spacious!

Family Getaway

This is a beautiful home and was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped. It is true to the pictures and perfect for a family or a group getaway. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. Was definitely a pleasurable weekend and we really enjoyed our stay there. Thanks for hosting us! This location is close enough to Gettysburg as well.
