This hotel is nice and quiet yet right off the interstate. Lots of grass to walk the dog. Hotel is basically brand new as i noticed half of it is still being finished. Nice little outdoor pool. Fast check in and very friendly staff. Rooms are huge and beds comfy and clean. Awesome hotel! We would definitely stop over here again. Shops and restaurants nearby.

Even though our trip was to attend a funeral of a long time great friend. The staff were really a great bunch of folks, Our rooms was ready when we got there and the room was very clean. It will be a place I will stay on my return trip to Ruston.

I made the mistake of travelling without hotel reservations at graduation time. If you know Ruston, you know that both La. Tech and Grambling State Universities are in that area. I found a room here online, but due to spotty network coverage on my phone, we got to the hotel before I could book the room. I went to the front desk and was able to get the last room available. Stephanie was one of the nicest people I have ever met and was so gracious and kind and she had a quiet confidence in everything she did and was an amazing ambassador for the hotel brand. We found our room very clean with modern decor and lighting. The bathroom was roomy and also very clean. The breakfast choices were plentiful and the coffee was very good. I stopped and talked to Caroline at the front desk at checkout and let her know that the motor for the electronic shade didn't work and that the door hinges needed a little WD-40 because it was rather squeaky. Caroline was just as gracious and kind as Stephanie, and listened to what I was telling her, wrote both things down, and promised that they would be fixed. I have no doubt that they were both fixed in short order. I didn't ask if Caroline was the manager, but she sure carried herself as if she was. It was such a great experience that we decided we would stay there again on our way back to Texas from Alabama when we returned a week later. The result was the same, and when we travel back to see family in Alabama, we know we have a great place to stay.

I believe her name was Bre that was up front and checked us in. She was amazing ! We confirmed early check in the day before but when I got there I had to wait about an hour for the room to be ready. They made sure I was comfortable until then though and were really nice! The room was fantastic ! Looked really good and the bed was awesome, as were the pillows. The bathroom smelled funny but it was from the stuff they cleaned it with. For me personally it was bad but my fiancé didn’t mind it as much but did notice it. We had a problem with the staff skipping our room the next morning to clean it an the do not disturb was not on our door. We had the wedding that night and needed new towels so both of us made sure we didn’t leave the sign out. We left at 10 that morning and the cleaning staff was at our end of the hall cleaning the two end rooms, looked like they had just started and I didn’t get back till 1 and it wasn’t done. They were at the other end of the hall when I got back. The lady I spoke with even said she didn’t see a sign, she just didn’t know who had our room number nor why it wasn’t done. But The lobby and breakfast area were really nice though and breakfast itself was amazing ! They had really great choices and the gentleman there always made sure fresh things were put out. He was also very nice ! Before checking out we also had a problem from the cleaning staff again. We were taking everything down to our car and had made two trips already and went up the last time to grab our drinks and food and to also make sure we didn’t miss anything else. When I got up there our door was open and two of our drinks were gone. The two that were unopened. The other two opened ones and the food were still there. I asked the ladies working if they had seen them when they came in and all of them either said they didn’t have our room or that I was the one that left the door open. So I told them I was going to ask the supervisor to look at the cameras for me. So I took the food and two drinks to the car and came back in to check out and started to ask if they could look at the cameras but the supervisor for the cleaning ladies came out from the office and said that one of the ladies had gone in our room, found the drinks “alone” and brought them down in case we came back for them. Didn’t bring down our other drinks or food that were right beside them though .... Needless to say we got a refund and No, I did not ask for it. The stay was fabulous as was the hotel overall apart from the cleaning staff not cleaning our room and trying to keep our drinks.

Glad we stopped outstanding rooms friendly service fantastic value. I would recommend hands down if you ne to stay in Ruston the best Holiday inn Express we have stayed at !!! So stay here you cannot go wrong,

We were passing thru and I decided to stay here since I am an IHG memver... gotta get my points. The rooms we had were spacious and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. The rooms were also dead quiet. All things I wanted in my stay. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good. Typical small selection of items but all were fresh and tasty. Only issue we had was that in room 206 (at least) the wall thermostat does not control the heater in the room. This was easily overcome by manually adjusting the heater settings.

it has been a very long time since i needed to stay in Ruston LA overnight and it was a nice surprise to find that have a new Holiday Inn Express in town. Rooms were clean and the front office staff was a blast. They greet you with big smiles and are ready to do what they can to make you stay one of the best.

Very nice place to stay. Staff was Very Pleasant and helpful when asked about a local place to get something to eat. A short drive off the Interstate on to the frontage road. The Hotel lives up to the standards of the brand. Very comfortable.

Well, the front desk clerk made us feel right at home when we arrived. Checkin was flawless and quick, and we were tired. It ended there. The refrigerator never did get cold. The room temperature didn’t drop below 73, until late in the night after the sun went down, so I checked the filters and they were caked up with dust. Probably hadn’t been cleaned in weeks or months. There were black spots from dirty hands on several of the walls in the living and bathroom area. Also, the toilet tissue holder was hanging by a thread. The screws had been pulled out of the wall. The windows weren’t wiped clean either. You could see where they smeared a little cleaner on them, wiped once, and that was it. You could literally see the wipe mark. The breakfast was comparable to other chains, but not as good as the best places, but the food was nice and hot, well prepared, and fully stocked. Something that we didn’t get at the Holiday Inn Mobile West on the way to our destination. We were going to notify the front desk about our room problems when we checked out, but when we went down the next morning, there was nobody there. We waited for several minutes until a line started to form, and gave up. I noticed a list on the desk of several other rooms that had reported problems. The two I saw the most were fridge and air conditioner. Two of the absolute most important things for a good stay other than the bed. The bed was very comfortable though. I just don’t understand how a place can get so run down in such a short period of time. It’s only been open for a few years. I don’t think we will stay here again unless things change.

Very nice hotel overall. Clean, quiet, nice location. Very good breakfast choices (loved the egg-white omelet). Very friendly staff. Pretty comfortable bed. A section of baseboard moulding was peeling from the wall on our floor, which stood out against an otherwise perfect hallway. Floors near the elevator were sometimes wet from dripping swimmers. I would highly recommend this hotel. Other than the few nuisances mentioned, it's a lovely place to stay.
