Hampton Inn Ruston2.5 out of 5.0

We stay here every trip to Ruston. The staff is exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. Clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast, nice lobby and great pool/patio area to gather family together makes this our go to hotel!
Hampton Inn is located right off I-20, located by a supermarket, bank, and drug store (you could walk there), but the rooms are quiet. Been staying at this Hampton Inn since 1995, always been good. I have driven to Alaska and St. John, Canada, always rely on Hampton Inns, never had a bad one.
Very nice hotel and staff with convenient location. My only problems, which are common to entire Hilton Brand, is that the complimentary internet is rather slow and lighting was too dim to read - need to get larger bulbs
The hotel is in good conditions, but the breakfast is not at the level of what we can expect in this price range. Prices of hotels have gone up these last years, but the level of service has decreased. We even don't get free bottles of water in the bedroom anymore. AC/heater unit is very noisy.
Enjoy the facility very much. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The room had plenty of space to move around in comfortably. Bathroom and shower were very clean and tidy.
I am a Diamond Hilton Honors member and travel frequently each year and this hotel should not even have a Hilton name on it. This place is so old and run down and just disgusting. I think it should be mandated that these older Hampton Inns have a complete remodel by now. The biggest thing is I am highly allergic to mold and I knew we had some sort of issue after we got to our room and my nose got stuffy and eyes turned red and watery. Sure enough right by the air conditioning it looks like it has flooded the nearby carpet and wall on more than one occasion. They did nothing to fix it either. Fuses blew out. TV is ancient. Air conditioning hardly worked. The bed was hands down the worst I have ever slept on. Well I actually got very little sleep. You can hear everyone else in this hotel and doors closing. They still have the coffee maker and coffee packets in the bathroom which is so gross. Furniture was so worn down and gross. The walls were in horrible shape as well. This place is very run down. The front desk check in went smoothly but that is the only positive I have at this location. I would absolutely never stop at this location again. There are way too many other remodeled and new Hilton properties to come to something this old with this many issues.
I could not have asked for a more enjoyable experience. When I first arrived to check in there was a sign on the door about the elevators being out. I went to front desk and told the man that as I had seen the sign could we please have a ground floor room. He made sure we had one and also made sure we had one close to the outside door so we wouldn't have far to go to car. My husband is on oxygen so this was a big help. All I can say is that this experience was the best ever.
I was a guest at this hotel during the weekend of Grambling State University's homecoming game and I had an amazing experience! The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, kind, & courteous. Brandon checked us in upon arrival and helped us take our luggage to our room. He made sure that we had enough blankets and towels in our room, and he ensured that our stay was nothing less than perfect. Also, the hotel had an variety of foods to select from for complimentary breakfast each day. I recommend booking your hotel room at this location if you're ever in Ruston, Louisiana!I'll be sure to book here for next year's homecoming game.
Beds were the best we ever experienced, soft and restful. Vey clean.. and superb customer service. Maintenance was prompt when we needed a light bulb replaced. Pet friendly with pet area and places for your pet to explore.
My trip to Ruston was very enjoyable. Staying at the Hampton Inn with a clean, comfortable, and adorable rate made it even better. The front desk staff was very professional and kind. Mr. Jenkins went over and beyond! The warm welcome, checking to see if my stay was comfortable, suggesting places in the city, and over all great southern hospitality. I tend to stay at the Hampton Inn anytime I'm in Ruston.
