Best Western Hotel Rüsselsheim Frankfurt Airport4.0 out of 5.0

I booked into this hotel for 3 nights as it is very close to the company I was visiting. The first thing to note is that this hotel is no-where near Frankfurt airport. It cost me 43 Euro to get from the airport to the hotel by taxi and another 35 on the way back. It is also in an industrial area of the town which means there are very limited options for eating out if you want to avoid further taxi costs. There really is nothing good to say about this hotel. Even the reception staff, whilst friendly were not efficient. This was my first stay at this hotel, yet I was not given any information about the hotel or facilities available to me other than an internet access code and password. To call the hotel dilapidated is the politest way to describe it. I certainly wish I had taken flip flops with me to wear when removing my outdoor shoes in my room. Where to start. My room, which was on the second floor looked like it had not been upgraded or deep cleaned since the 70s. The walls had wood-chip wallpaper which was painted pale yellow...but not everywhere... some areas showed a pale pink colour, perhaps where the painter failed to complete the job of paining an entire wall? The carpet was more stain than carpet and the shower had black mould ...lovely! The water temperature and water pressure of the shower was changing continuously, changing from hot to cold and reasonable flow to a mere trickle. The room I was allocated was non smoking but still had the stale odour of a smoking room. If the hotel was renovated inside and out it could be a great place to stay as it is quiet and the rooms are very large but until that happens I would recommend staying elsewhere.
Stay here if you are traveling through and need to spend the night. Hotel is dated and in industrial area next to the highway. Staff were friendly and rooms clean and breakfast was OK. Parking and Wifi were free.
The good news first: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and with large windows. Beeakfast was ok. However, the cleanliness shows a lot of improvement potential. The entire hotel looks more like a youth hostel.
Spend one short night because of delayed/cancelled flights and on Lufthansa's budget. Arrived very late and the staff was friendly, quick and even prepared sandwiches (after 11 pm!) which was very nice. Otherwise the hotel is below average, old, shabby and not even close to the airport (15 minutes on the autobahn). WiFi is free, though.
I just paid almost EUR 50 to get to this hotel from the airport, when getting to the city centre only costs EUR 30! The hotel is further away from the airport than the city centre. The name "airport hotel" is completely misleading. The rest of the hotel may be ok but who cares when you end up miles from the airport?
After confirming with the front desk in person a few days before our reservation concerning the bedding preference we were assured that we have been booked in to a double bedded room. Upon check in a couple days later, the reception had checked us in to a twin bedded room & said that they were fully booked. Only after we had complained were we then allocated different rooms. It was clear they were not fully booked that evening so it seems that the receptionist was just too lazy to bother changing rooms for us. We were not given a double bedded room but twins pushed together, but we could not be bothered to switch rooms again. The hotel is current under refurbishment and the lobby has had a face lift. Whilst I've been advised by colleagues that they have done some refurbishments in the last few months and I believe this has been for the 1st & 2nd floor. We were allocated a room on the 3rd Can't tell if refurbishments have happened on the 3rd floor, but the rooms were clean and spacious & there are flat screen TV's & strong wifi signal. I like that there are 2 door ways in the rooms as it blocks out noise from the hall way.
My husband and I stayed one night at this hotel on our way to the Pfalz with our 3 month old. It was a last minute booking on Priceline and it was listed as a 4 star hotel. This is in NO WAY a 4 star hotel. The most I would give it is 2 stars. We booked something close to the airport so we could sleep for the night before a journey the next day to our destination. The location is in the middle of nowhere. When we arrived, we were provided with a room with two single beds when we specifically paid for a queen bed room. We complained and were initially told that there were no more queen bed rooms available, but when we complained further, they finally gave us a queen bed room only to find that it stank of cigarette smoke even though it was a no smoking room. We decided to just take the two single beds as the room at least smelled better. The rooms are a good size, but that's about it. Old decor, the basics. Only a shower in the bathrooms. Wifi poor signal. The whole place needs to be torn down and rebuilt or completely renovated. The Staff were rude and what 4 star hotel does not have ANY ICE AT ALL in their establishment!!! Stay away from this hotel. SO not worth the price.
I just left the hotel , the place is out of all services, .expensive in comparison to the quality offered, and very bad staff especially the managers. In a summary to stay at street better than to spend the night over there..
Yes it was a difficult day to find a hotel. I used Hotwire and they listed this as being a Frankfurt Airport Hotel. Nothing could be much further from the truth. Since you cannot undo a Hotwire reservation, I did find it had a airport shuttle listed on the Best Western Listing. When I asked the said "Never had never will have a shuttle". Lest they forget what the best western website listing says, here it is: BEST WESTERN Hotel Ruesselsheim Frankfurt-Airport The 4-Star BEST WESTERN Hotel Russelsheim Frankfurt-Airport is located close to the Frankfurt International Airport, making it ideal for air travelers. Only stayed here for a night in March and was underwhelmed. Staff all positive but this is no four star. Room service menu was microwave pizzas and canned fruit salad. Wifi nonexistent. Rooms spacious and clean but soulless. Not bad. Just sad.
