The location is great, just on the beach on a quiet leg of the road, restaurants in the vicinity and some nightlife as well. But the property was damaged by the storm and partially restored. The restaurant is too expensive, the food less than average, the service mediocre in spite of the girls trying. The rooms are OK, aircon working. The overall package is rather expensive for the quality offered. Next door, a high quality hotel is being build, so it would make sense to restore to a better overall standard.....
Location: The hotel is by the beach. It was such a treat waking up knowing that you were just a few steps away from it. It is very near the airport less than 10 minutes. It is along the Baybay (shore), alongside the numerous Seafood and Bbq eateries in the province. Roxas being the seafood capital of the PH, you won't be disappointed with the nearby choices. Food: Breakfast does not come with the room booking (unless you booked from Agoda). The food is pricey and not really worth it. I suggest you take your meals from the numerous restaurants nearby. The alcohol is priced fairly and drinking by the beach is the best part. Rooms: We had to transfer room twice. First 2 rooms were not what we booked. Room 10's, the family room (One double bed, two single) aircon was not cooling up. Room 9, which was the economy room, spent one night there. Transferred the next day to Room 5 (deluxe room w/o ref). Rooms had and antique-y feel, as did the whole hotel. It hasn't been upgraded in a while but it does its purpose. Cable has many channels, though it was a struggle using the remotes on all rooms. Staff: The staff were very warm and kind. Couldn't ask for better service. Pro-tip: Couldn't find any contact numbers online when I was booking. Being the angel that I am here you go: (036) 621-2165 / 0908-1521418
I booked my friends to stay for 4days 3nights last February, the room is okey, the beach view is priceless. Only things i notice the water pressure is so slow. May pee os much stronger, no free shampoo and soap. Also please update your website or even your Facebook account. This hotel has a potential.
This place is very peaceful and serene, we stayed for 2 nights here for a visit to Roxas City. The beach is not white sand, but is ok for a quick swim. However I just have one concern about our room. The bathroom has no exhaust! So, the air flows back to your aircoditioned room. Its ok if you are taking a bath, but if you're doing something else, its unpleasant smell. By the way, the seafoods restaurants are very near, only 5 minutes walk. Will stay here again if ever we go back to Roxas City. 😀
Spent two nights there, the room was clean & good air conditioning, lovely views of the bay especially having breakfast in the straw thatched huts, felt really good looking out to sea. Good location if you like sea food, there are two good fresh fish restaurants near by, very close to airport.
An amazing little Hotel, right on the beach well worth a visit but please remember this hotel suffered badly from the typhoon Yolanda so do not expect 5 star facilities. The rooms are basic with showers A/C and cable TV. The food is well cooked but again a basic kitchen so not Michelin status. It represents really good value for money at around 15 GBP per night. Staff all try their best to make you feel comfortable. If you are in Roxas give it a try but do not have high expectations of Luxury it is a basic but comfortable little hotel.
If you enjoy the room air conditioner sounding like the Boeing Jet test facility, no water pressure in the shower, no bar fridge and no WiFi - despite the claim that it does - this is the hotel for you. Structurally. the hotel came off second best in last year's typhoon and renovations are still a work in progress and things can only get better. Reception and service, otherwise, were acceptable, Meals taken at hotel were basic at best and standard. Drink prices were good. The good points - the hotel is on the beach and the sea views were great. The reception staff were very polite and courteous. Worth a second try in a year or two!
We on spent one night here on our way to SIbyan Island and were highly disappointed by what they offer for the price they charge. The garden is beautiful and the beach nice, but the room (especially the bathroom) was dirty and the service uncharitable. The dinner we ordered took ages and was not tasty at all.
This was a great place to arrive at after a long day of travel.. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Our room had a problem with the shower so we were immediately moved to another. Spotlessly clean. The beach outlook is great with chairs and tables and the bar area is nice. The breakfast was lovely.
We drove up without reservations. Two other resorts were full. This one captivated us with old world charm so we stayed. The property was damaged quite badly by Haiyan and they have done basic renovations. The rooms have old window aircon units which are noisy with no fridge in room. It was very clean with hot and cold running water. There was a storm and the waves were almost frightening to look at but therein lies the beauty of the area and this place. Nearby is a whole row of wonderful beach seafood places where you pick your choice of fish, prawns, crabs, clams, oysters and have them cooked to order. As they are very fresh, the simplest cooking style brings out the sweetness and tenderness of the fare!
