The room was huge, more like an apartment than a room, fittings and bedding not the best quality. Amenities are adequate, but WiFi was a bit shaky with unexpected disconnects. The spa baths look like something to avoid! Not sure what rates were as it was booked through an agent as part of a package, but it has to be cheaper to match the room fittings. On the plus side, it is well located.
Great location, central to shops and easy access to the highway to get where ever you need to go. Supermarket across the road, which is handy. Room was tired and furniture was old and worn. Kitchen facilities very dated. Tv not working on arrival due to issue with the remote, however this was fixed the next morning, which was great. Shower temp uncontrollable, going hot and cold when other rooms used their water. Service was very good, check in/out was easy. Problems fixed straight away.
Room was very dirty lots of bugs very dated and tired and they charge 5 star rates could of stayed at much better places for actually less money had burn holes in lounges arm rests worn-out on lounges did not make up room every day,Towels were old, spa was empty, kids game room locked the 3 days we were there had to talk the family to stay because we had prepaid as they wanted to change to another hotel. DON'T STAY HERE
We chose this motel due to its proximity to town and what seemed to be a reasonable price for Rotorua. It was also rated 4 stars so we thought that sounded good. We wonder how this motel got its rating- maybe having both mineral pools and a swimming pool help? Overall the property looks tired and had messy gardens. We did appreciate the owner actually showing us the facilities and taking us to our room. Our room was quite spacious and it also had a separate kitchen with both a stove and a microwave which was good to have for our three night stay. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. While clean the room looked tired and the pale pink walls were not flattering. We were surprised to see paint splatters covering the coffee table- this could have been easily fixed. The wifi reception was excellent.
This motel is very old and very much in need of refurbishing. The rooms looked and felt dirty due to the age. The tap fixtures were rusty and the overall appearance was terrible. We wanted to leave but couldn’t because the owner demanded payment as soon as we arrived. Once we saw the room, we knew why. There was no air conditioning and whilst the rooms were non smoking other guests were sitting out the front of the rooms smoking constantly. It was disgusting. With the amount of accommodation available in Rotorua you will easily find somewhere much better. Cannot recommend.
This accomodation is very run down and the place and fittings, curtains, kitchen utensils, furniture etc need to be replaced. It feels as though nothing much had been done to update the place since the seventies, although the carpet was new. The photos on their website are not a realistic depiction of this accomodation. Taps vibrated loudly each time they were turned on and although I believe the place was cleaned, it appeared to be seedy due to the aged furniture and fittings. I cannot recommend this accommodation.
Our room was dirty, smelly with laundry and cigarette box right outside, staff were rude. Motel rundown. Really unimpressed but cdnt leave as staff refused to refund our 50% deposit. Location good but just not worth it for us.
Great location, walking distance to the shopping centre (opposite the road). Specious room with slightly old fashion internal fittings. The outdoor pool was great fun and three mineral/spa pool was a plus for relax.
I stayed in apartment hotels and motels throughout NZ, and this was the most average one of the lot. It was adequate but looking a little tired compared to everywhere else I stayed on both islands. There's a Quest several blocks closer to downtown; you might want to compare facilities and prices.
We stayed here with our 4 sons, aged 1, 9, 12 & 14, so 6 altogether with my husband and I. Accomodation was comfortable, tidy and spacious. Location was perfect, across the road from shops. Beautiful heated pool that was perfect to relax in morning or evening, especially with our little one. Spa and mineral pools were a little to hot to take him in. Great host too. Would definitely come back to stay. Just a few small suggestions: - not many electrical outlets (sockets) out in the open. Most in the bedrooms were located behind the beds, and furniture needed to be moved - mattresses are quite soft, would have liked a firmer mattress but did enjoy a comfortable sleep. Bedding was awesome. - curtains needed lots of adjusting to look half decent. Really enjoyed our stay in Rotorua nonetheless. We will be back!
