We stayed here in a double room, the rooms were comfortable, the staff were fantastic very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, the pool was fantastic as it is thermally heated and so is the spas . We had the buffet breakfast both mornings and it was great very enjoyable.
Tauranga packed out so headed over to Rotorua for the night. Super comfortable bed and lovely quite rooms. Had the buffet dinner , OMG, oysters, mussels, ceviche and prawns- after double dipping on the entree feast I went for a Malay chicken curry, really good. Well done Holiday Inn :)
Had a good stay at the holiday inn with my wife and son. They have a pool on the ground floor which is great for the winter! There is also a shop that sells swimwear in case you forget to bring them. Staff was quite friendly and helpful as well. Hotel Room: 4 Stars (Comfortable bed) Room View: 2 Stars (Not a very nice view) Service of Staff: 4 Stars (helpful staff) Lounges/Restaurants: (NA) Room Service: (NA) Location: 4 Stars (Near to Te Puia)
Very very impressive. We really impressed with the atmosphere of this hotel staff. They r very friendly and ready to help u every time. Gym r present in this hotel. Hot pool is present. What ever a person wants in a hotel is all present in this hotel no car parking charges. The view from the room is really awesome and more and more what to say. The attraction points very very near . I'm in love with this city. Very very nice experience thank u for making r holiday so special the rooms were clean and large. Beds were comfortable. Very good experience. The bar is also good.
The staff made our stay at the Holiday Inn, they were well presented and friendly without being over the top. They were helpful and seemed to anticipate our needs. We attended a family wedding that was made particularly amazing because of the place and the staff. The buffet and the reception room were exceptional and again the staff were amazing. I particularly enjoyed that the hotel pool was in the middle of the complex not tucked away, you could see families and couples enjoying the amenities. The room was very clean and I enjoyed the fact that there were more than two towels per person in case you needed them, which we didn't but nice to have the choice. The bed was incredibly comfortable and warm. I would recommend the Holiday Inn Rotorua and I will be back!
Was staying at the Holiday Inn for a school trip. I always thought that the Holiday Inn was a family 'budget' hotel but oh man I was so wrong! The beds were so comfy! The bathroom was nice too and the mirror was nice and big! I had a view of the pool from the 1st floor! The pool was heated and was amazing for end of august! Spa pools were great too! Viewed their Pohutu Theatre and it was utterly gorgeous! Had a buffet breakfast for only $20 (special) and all the food was amazing! Hands down one of the best stays at a hotel I've ever had! Will definitely 100% recommend to anyone visiting Rotorua! 😊
ok.... so we just got back from this trip and i wanted to write a review because there were some positives and negatives here. The location is a bit far from town , but they do offer an hourly shuttle upon request. we stayed a week there so I was very surprised when I asked them if they could drop us at a site a few min. out of there way on the way to town when there was no other passengers and they gave a very definite NO and told me that shuttles were strictly for town no matter what. They were very inflexible and unfriendly overall.... I must admit that there were 2 people behind the desk at night that were the opposite of the others on staff.. They were sooo friendly and helpful. I wish I knew their names! They were our only friendly faces there! Pool was really nice and hot! Loved it! Room was clean... Could take or leave the breakfast, BUT a block away was a great cafe, open select mornings.. felt like 1980s retro inside ... GREAT breakfast! Go to the 5th floor to look out and see geyser lit up at night! Hopefully they will train their daytime staff to loosen up and be flexible/welcoming. A little personality would help. Balcony was dated.
Modern hotel situated on the edge of Rotorua and close to Te Puia heritage centre. Just a bit too far from the centre of town, however the hotel provide a courtesy coach to take guests into and pick up at the Information Centre. Lovely room, very clean and tidy and facilities for laundry on the ground floor. Staff are really pleasant and many of them are Kiwi( unlike other NZ hotels). Lovely open air pool which is heated by thermal springs and oodles of towels to dry oneself. Breakfasts were on a par with other hotels and dined there one evening. Took their buffet/carvery which was very good value. All in all a nice place to stay.
The Hotel has a big car park, but with no enough parking spaces. The buffet is good with kids eat free, outside heated pool is fun, room is small compare to the Rydges Rotorua. Location is ok, few minutes drive to the Rotorua City.
Nice modern hotel at edge of Rotorua (bit far to walk if you arrived in town by bus and don't have own transport). Polite welcoming staff. Given large room on top floor with great views of the town. Plenty of towels, washing amenities and coffee/tea facilities. Substantial breakfast buffet option. Hotel has pool (didn't use), heated by local geothermal energy.
