I cannot fault this place everything about it was good the staff pleasant the rooms clean the breakfast good. We had a fantastic week. The only thing was it was a bit of a walk to the sites, but it was not to bad. The metro was not far away and it only cost us 1euro 50 cents for a 100 mins journey which was really cheap. And the taxis was reasonable as well.Because there was no bar they put drink in the fridge. Highly recommended.
On arrival we were greeted by friendly reception staff. Our room on the 2nd floor was clean and nicely decorated. A huge bed for 2 and a small single bed for our teenage son. Staff helped us with directions on our map (lepanto metro stop is a very short walk away) but all the sights are a walk away. Breakfast has nice choices available and the roof terrace is lovely to sit in the morning sun. The fridge in the room was well stocked with snacks and drinks (we bought some from the shop and stored there to keep cool). Staff were happy for us to leave our luggage there for a couple of hours on our departure day. The only bad point was that our shower leaked and caused a bit of a flood. Despite informing reception staff and asking at least twice for it to be looked at it was not fixed. Not ideal on very hot July days.
Small and bijou , tucked away but only a couple of minutes from the nearest Metro. I liked the hotel, the reception staff were very friendly and really helpful . The rooms , on the ground floor at least , were light , airy and very clean . The trek each morning up several flights of stairs to the breakfast area was rewarded by rooftops views across the local district . The breakfast is basic but we didn't go hungry and the coffee was very good. I'd happily recommend it as a good base for walking round the city and a plus is that the Vatican was only 10 - 15 minutes away.
My friend & I recently stayed here for just one night. The hotel is in a nice part of Rome and is not too far from the Vatican City. The staff we met were lovely. The first member of staff we met told us that we would actually be staying in another building on a nearby block, which would be quieter as it was on a less busy road. He then walked us to it and kindly pulled our cases along. The room itself was small but this didn't bother us as it was nice, clean and modern, plus we were planning on being outside in Rome most of the time, not being in our room much. We had breakfast on the roof terrace which has a great view. The only downside was that even though the street was quiet, the building our room was in was not quiet at all. Very thin walls meant we could hear everything and there seemed to be lots of people coming & going all night in the corridors. A good hotel but be aware of the possibility of this noise if you are in the separate building.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and the room was way too small and we were not able to unpack due to the fact the closet was the size of a doll house. The breakfast was mostly cake and cake and nothing like the pictures shown on here. Two days in a row our room wasn't cleaned and we had to ask for cleaning in the reception. NOT a very good impression this hotel makes and the manager and his staff are more arrogant than you Can ever imagine and more concerned smoking and reading on the internet than making a good stay for the guests. We didn't feel welcome at all. We Will never return to B Place and Think twice before you do that.
We were in Rome for a couple of days as part of a trip around Italy. The hotel is in a good location being around 10-15 minutes away from the Vatican Museum. It is a bit further to walk to the Coliseum and Forum etc but has a metro station close by which was very convenient. The hotel itself was clean and nicely decorated although a bit run down in parts. The staff were extremely friendly and helped with ideas on what to see and where to eat. Would use the hotel again should we visit Rome.
We have just returned from a few days in Rome and stayed at The B Place. At check in we were informed that the air conditioning in our room was broken but that we had been upgraded for the night to a different room but it was a five minute walk from the main hotel. The room was lovely and was in part of a residential block but we were very content and the staff could not have been more helpful, they also informed us that if we left our luggage in our room they would get the porter to move it to our new room for when we returned. The breakfast was fairly basic but always something to have a choice of cereals, croissants, bread, eggs, fruit etc which was more than ample for ourselves. Both of our rooms were lovely and very clean. We found all the staff to be more than helpful even giving us some tips on when and where to visit certain places. We found the location ideal as we love to walk and to be honest it wasn't far from anywhere, the only transport we used was to and from the airport. When we return to Rome we will definitely stay again!
There was no WIFI as advertised, we asked for a WIFI passcode but still this did not work, the TV did not respond to the remote control was fixed after we mentioned this, there was no milk for tea and coffee, very small coffee/ tea cups provided, standard sachets of coffee and no sugar, the phone land line did not work and was never fixed our room was far from check in, told this block contained only superior rooms, however the room did not feel superior. We asked to be moved but was told they were fully booked. There was no mention of being charged for fridge items, the fridge was filled on day 1 and day 3 but charged for the 3 days we stayed. We found a diabetic Lantus Solostar insulin belonging to previous visitor, extremely dangerous if a child had accidentally injected themselves with it. The room look good in the picture but in reality it is not good standard, e.g peeling wall paper, exposed large nail head on black head board. The wood flooring was clean and good for the hot weather. There was no welcome pack in the room explaining check out time or WIFI code etc, just a map and tourist leaflet. Food at breakfast was always short, you had to wait for staff to put out the food each time. Tables were not always cleared and cleaned there were not enough breakfast bread for example, we always ended up asking and received wet cups and plates. I was armed with a napkin in the end to wipe items before use, not very hygienic. We arrived late at night 9pm and was pleased they checked us in at this time however we were shocked to be placed in another building about 100 yards away by a member of staff who admitted to being new to the job. We did ask him what time was checking out time which he replied as ANY TIME. On our last day we went out to return later and found our things placed in the corridor out side of the room. We were told we are not allowed back in! I lost an item of clothing during this time I am assuming taken? We did go back in to empty the safe of OUR possessions. This has got to be the worst place ever, I strongly advise to think before booking this place. Even their website reviews are too good to be true which is why I am leaving this detailed review here.
This hotel is a well located little place, more or less a direct 15 minute walk to Vatican City. We had room 1C which was a triple right next to reception; a little noisy at night but clean and tidy, serviced each day and helpful reception staff, happy to give advice on what to wear/take on a trip to the Vatican and give directions etc. The air con worked really well after a bit of a slow start and so welcome as it was 42 degrees on the weekend we visited. Even the Romans were complaining about the heat! Right around the corner is a fabulous restaurant called Miva and round the corner from that, a gelato shop open til late and perfect for pudding after dinner at Miva. I would definitely stay here again, but the next trip will be in spring or autumn!
Just got back from a break in Rome . Stayed at the B place for 3 nights. This little hotel is fine to sleep and shower . Staff were pleasant . Breakfast was as shown in the pictures on the website. Room was fine for the 2 of us aircon worked clean towels everyday. Think this hotel is fine just to stop gap and shower
