Location was great. I didn’t like that it’s very easy to hear through the walls.

I was a little nervous about the mixed reviews but was willing to take a risk since this was our last leg of a 10 day trip. I will say that some of the negative reviews have merit, but a lot of what people complained about comes with staying in an older hotel and should have been somewhat expected. They definitely haven't updated the place recently, and the bathroom wasn't completely spotless, but I definitely wouldn't have called it or the room unclean. We had a large room with a very comfy bed. We were in the back of hotel so we didn't have to deal with street noise, but I could definitely see as being a problem if you did have a window on the fountain side. This is something you should expect if you choose to stay at a hotel this close to a major tourist attraction in Rome. The major pluses for us were the cell phone we were able to take with us and use for navigation, the location in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go, and the breakfast bar/roof (we went in December and always got up to the roof right at 7:30 so we always got a seat where we could see the fountain). The downsides would be that the wi-fi was pretty weak in our room (probably due to being toward the back of the building so you win some, you lose some) and the peddlers outside the hotel were annoying which would be worse during the busy season. Overall, an enjoyable stay if you don't mind more of a rustic charm and being in the midst of the action. Not for you if you expect everything to be immaculate.

Loved the view from the rooftop bar, but seating is very limited for the view.

perfect location! we loved it! staff are really helpful on taxis

In the heart of the town and nice view of fountain

Overall a great experience! The staff was fantastic, especially Kanchan and Alice. Everyone spoke English and was very friendly and helpful. Whenever we needed a cab the front desk staff had a ride for us in 4 minutes (seriously - 4 minutes every time). The location is central to the city and easy to walk to a majority of the sites. Plenty of food options and shops in the immediate area. We were provided a very good walking map and the room came with a free cell phone/GPS that was extremely helpful getting around on foot. The rooftop terrace bar was a highlight of the hotel because it overlooks the Trevi Fountain. In the morning you can have great breakfast buffet (plenty of options) on the terrace and drinks at night with a great view (if you get the best seats - get there early). The air conditioning was a must during the hot nights in June. We stayed on the first floor and the Wifi was great but when we tried to use it on the third floor terrace is was a bit spotty. In the bathroom the hair-dryer was perfect for my wife however I'm 6'3" 220lbs and couldn't move in the shower and my feet were hanging off the bed. Other than that the room was great. The Trevi Fountain is just outside the front door and so impressive but be warned there is a lot of people around. They only time we didn't see a lot of people around was from 6am-10am. We would definitely stay there again.

Very clean and friendly staff! When we needed to add a person for our stay they immediately upgraded us. Only downside was the rooftop terrace was not available until after we left. Would definitely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The location was absolutely amazing and the rooftop bar provided for a great (partial) view of the Trevi Fountain. It was a perfect place to wind down every evening. The staff was very helpful with dinner and tour tips. The rooms were small and modest which is completely expected for Europe but they were clean, quiet, and provided for a good night's rest. Breakfast was complimentary at the restaurant next door to the hotel and while small, it was adequate enough considering there was no additional charge. I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Rome.
