I chose this hotel primarily on location. I had three nights to spend in Rome and wanted somewhere that I could easily access the main attractions. Arrived before the 2pm check-in time expecting to leave my bags and do the proper check-in later. My room was available so I was able to deposit my bags and go out exploring. A warm welcome by the reception staff who provided me with my room key, wifi details and an explanation of when and where breakfast was available. I was also provided with a handy map covering the main sites. The (single) room I had booked was spacious with a comfortable bed, desk, television and a decent sized shower in the bathroom. During the night I was surprised at how quiet the hotel was both from internal and external noise. A real positive. Breakfast was served from 0630. The breakfast room was busy but always managed to get a table. A good selection of cereals, breads, cheese, cold meats etc. was available along with fruit juice, water and hot drinks. I didn't use the other hotel facilities during my stay as I wanted to be out and about being a tourist!! The hotel was very close to Termini Station with easy access to the metro, local bus services and the airport bus. Repubblica metro station was also very near to the hotel.
It looked a little bit different from what we expected but the staff was friendly and very helpful with everything we needed. Clean rooms and very good location, we walked to the colosseum in about 15 minutes. Nice walk :)
We stayed here in February for the rugby. The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious and the beds were made every day. The breakfast was good, cereals, toast, fruit, meats and cheeses, cakes but they don’t do a cooked breakfast but there is scrambled eggs! We didn’t use the restaurant in the evening as there are quite a few restaurants in the area and when in Rome.... the staff are very friendly and helpful. This hotel is centrally based for visiting many of the attractions Trevi fountains and the coliseum are approximately 15-20 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay here again!
First trip to Rome and we were pleased to have stayed here. The front desk crew was fantastic about recommending coffee shops, restaurants, and being helpful in general. Very clean hotel, comfy beds and free breakfast. Quiet rooms. Only negatives are horrible coffee comes out of the coffee machines and the blow dryer will not remain on while drying your hair...you have to constantly press the on button...when you release it, the unit turns off. Close to all the places we wanted to see.
Location is closed from Termini so you don't have to drag your luggage too far. The hotel is an old hotel, room is a bit small like most of the hotel in Italy. But it's clean. They let me storage my luggage overnight, free of charge when we went to Civita di Bagnoregio.
We stayed here during the last week of December. Can’t complain of anything major but customer service is not the greatest. The front desk staff were curt and borderline rude on 3 different occasions to us. This was a stark difference in comparison to the hotels we stayed at Florence, Milan and Venice. Also, would encourage them to be sympathetic towards families with young children. In other hotels, We were allowed to take a slice of bread, yogurt and some milk to the room for kids under 5 who couldn’t wake up early in the morning or couldn’t eat their meals on time. This was beneficial on a trip especially when you’re trying to get out of the hotel soon to go see everything. I wish Nord could do something similar to help the families with young kids. So if you’re looking for a minimalistic hotel and not expecting great treatment, this is a good place especially considering the metro is a 5 min walk from the hotel.
I've spent 5 nights at this Hotel last December & found this Hotel as very good. The location is the best it could be in. It is very close to Termini station but in quietest part of the area. Staff are very friendly & helpful. I've been another couple of times in Rome & could say that this is one of the best 2 Hotels in Rome I've been. The breakfast is special compared to other Hotels in Italy. Although the room was not as I saw on the photos, it was cosy & nice. I would recommend this Hotel.
Why book this hotel .. 1) location & 2) reasonable price but also 3) it's a good hotel, value for what they ask you to pay. The staff in the hotel were great, the breakfast crew it seems under stress so not so happy. The hotel held our bags for the day and as we were leaving Rome by rail, and the fact the on and off bus is just across the road, this hotel just works and the quality is better than many others in the area. Nothing special but nice our stay was. Breakfast on offer however could be better. If you need to charge a little more, then charge and put more selection including bacon on offer. The breakfast operation needs work. Rome has many beautiful places to stay but when you fly in late on enight and are leaving the following night by rail for Naples, this area works and this hotel we would book again. Thanks HNNR for a great stay .. I'll let you off the breakfast niggle :)
I stayed 4 nights over Christmas & found this hotel very good. The location, 5 minute walk from Termini Station meant it was easy to get around the whole city. There are lots of cafes & restaurants close by if you don't feel like travelling further. I arrived around 1130am & was thrilled to be given access to my single room right away. The room was small, but as it was just me, it was perfectly adequate. The bathroom was a good size & the shower cubicle generous. Spotlessly clean as well. Breakfast was included, buffet style of eggs, cold meats, cheeses and fruit & cereals. Most of the staff were very friendly & smiling. The only downside was the room temperature. It was so hot. Several times I tried turning the heat off but it just kept going. My room was 26 degrees, too hot. With the windows open there was a lot of noise. If the room temp had been better i would give 4.5-5 stars. I will stay here again, you can't beat it for the price (I paid approx £45/night).
I wanted a Hotel for a one night lay-over in Rome. I chosen the Hotel because it is quite near the Termini train station which connects via the speed-train leonardo to the Fumicino airport. The hotel is acceptable , although it has the potential to be better , given its location and size. But for the price of it and location , it was just fair enough.
