SuiteSistina for Lovers is a lovely hotel in the center of Rome. We spent a week at the hotel and we were very satisfied with everything. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast in the room was also very special!
I booked suitesistina for lovers hotel to add to the build up of getting engaged to my now fiancee (she said yes). We stayed in the deluxe room, which had a king size bed, which was decorated with petals on arrival. A shower above a jacuzzi bath, which is very handy after a day walking around rome. The staff go above and beyond. They are very polite and helpful with any requests. The hotel is unique and different from the rest, it's perfect for couples of all ages. It has many options to personalise your experience. If you are wanting to explore more with each other, there are options you can venture down. (Toys, dancing etc) but don't worry it's not pushed in your face, its discreet and mainly online in regards for the information). Breakfast is delivered to your room, which is a nice touch because then you can have breakfast in your own space. Locations is perfect, you are a street away from the famous steps, a small walk to the trevi fountain and the Colosseum isn't a bad walk away. If you enjoy your shopping, then it's perfect because that is just down the famous steps. (Hugo boss, Michael Kors, etc). Overall it's a very romantic hotel, I would reccomend going there and doing the offer where you can change rooms mid stay. Which unfortunately me and my now fiancee didn't do, but wish we did to check out the other suites. Perfect for romance, cheeky getaways, anniversaries and engagements.
We really liked this hotel, it was a great little find after doing lots of research. The room was decorated beautifully, the bath was amazing after a long day, extremely comfortable bed and all the extra touches like lighting, the iPad, and the mini fridge were all great! The breakfast was really nice too! The staff were pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The only issues we had were firstly, our room was right next to reception. Which wasn't great when we wanted to chill out in the afternoon and sometimes have a snooze, we were awoken by guests checking in and out, the phone ringing, and staff sitting behind reception watching videos (they were clearly bored), but they were so loud we could hear them in our room. They quickly turned them off whenever we left our room.... that was far from ideal and was at times frustrating. Secondly, as it's a small hotel it's an unmanned reception after 10pm. Some idiot on our last night, decided to knock on our door repeatedly at 2.45am !!!!!! woke us up to ask us if we had candles for him and his girlfriend. I cannot begin to explain how furious we were. Granted, this is not the hotels fault, but it is a downside to an unmanned reception and one i feel needs to be mentioned as in fairness we wondered what on earth was going on and who would be waking us up at that time! Overall though, i would recommend this hotel... just ensure you get a room well away from reception.
The hotel is split in 2 buildings across the road from each other. We were on the opposite side to the main hotel entrance which initially put us of as the entrance was just a big ole brown door as oppose to the lovely glass foyer. Please don’t be put of because as you reach reception on the 3rd floor (there’s a lift) You are immediately welcome by the wonderful staff in a very modern, bright and funky reception area. The room took the same theme but with the many lighting option within the room you could set the tone. The big circular bed and giant jacuzzi bath certainly the main features, they provided an iPad linked to a sound system with a good music library which was pretty cool. The rooms are soundproofed pretty well as music was playing as we walked in to the room but we couldn’t tell until we opened the door! Very different to any other hotel we’ve stayed in, our breakfast is served to the room from quite a varied menu at a time specified by us the night before (they were pretty punctual!). As there is no dining/bar area. The complimentary mini bar was a nice touch as well. The staffed at the hotel were great, helped me with translation and directions and recommendations. Always greeted with a smile. After we booked this hotel we got a “bubbles menu” emailed to us which we didn’t know anything about. Offering items/experiences that could enhance a romantic couples stay ;) (all in good taste btw) After giggling a lot we decided not to order any of the additional items :( at no point during our stay they tried to up sell, which I thought was very respectful. Bars and restaurants aplenty I recommend you look for those with some sort of live music, acoustic guitar/ keyboard added to the atmosphere more. The location is perfect we were able to walk everywhere 5 minutes to Spanish steps, 10-15 Trevi Fountain, 1/2 hr to colosseum. We did get taxi (15 Euro) to Vatican City as we had an early morning Tour. Taxi drivers here in my opinion are reckless. 3 rides we had, to and from airport and to Vatican all taken in the Brace position lol. Pre book a skip the queue guided tour. The entrance line was 3 hour wait for those who didn’t pre book! Apparently they receive on average 25k people a day. We booked with Destination Italia Gartour via attraction world.com and had a lovely knowledgable guide named Barbara. Vatican City tour in the morning - transport to restaurant for lunch and colosseum tour in the afternoon. All inclusive. However you make your own way home. I’m surprised this is only a 3 star hotel it’s beaten some of the 4* we’ve stayed in. As the name suggests it’s a couples retreat and please if the opportunity arise book.it.up!
What a place. Just got back from a 2 night stay and it had a great time. The room its self was fantastic, very relaxing and so romantic. The breakfast is brought to your room and very delicious and very fresh. The staff are very welcome and friendly. The location is great as very easy to get around and see all of Rome. We will most definitely be planning our visit again to stay. Thank you once again SuiteSistina. Didn't have the chance to as, Would love to know what products they use, there shower gel and body cream. The smell is incredible.😉
Well what a hotel. Very relaxing and the staff were amazing. Nothing was a problem for them.Definitely worth a return visit. breakfast served in your room at a time you want which definitely is a bonus. Thank you suitesistina for a magical time.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights in August and had the best time. After reading other reviews suggesting it was difficult to find, we were expecting it to be down a side street, however the hotel is very easy to find due to it being a stones throw from the Spanish Steps and the Keats Shelley house. The staff were very accommodating and helpful, with full turn down service daily including fresh towels and complimentary top ups of (eco friendly non plastic) toiletries. Breakfast delivered daily to the room was excellent and made it feel like a real treat. The room itself was very generous, with a big deep bath and huge circular bed, walk in waterfall shower and shutter windows which despite the steady flow of people outside kept the room quiet. Full air conditioning was bliss after the 30degree+ heat of the day (and the steps to get to the room itself!). The only minor issue is that the room wasn’t exactly like in the pictures as we only went for a standard room, but it was ideal for our needs and really comfortable - no complaints at all however if you want a jacuzzi bath you will need to check the room you have paid for had this - we didn’t bother with one and still had an amazing break! The location of Suite Sistina is incredible. We could walk to the Pantheon, Trevi fountain, the Spanish Steps and all the designer shops within 15 minutes. We didn’t use public transport at all, only 1 taxi (booked by reception) to take us to Roma Termini and they found us fine with no delay. Exceptional service! Although there are extras available from their “cuddle menu”, the complimentary mini bar, Nespresso machine and pods (again topped up daily) was all we needed, and we felt extremely comfortable staying there. So many little touches like rose petals on the bed and total privacy that made our holiday a real treat for us both. We will definitely be back, would recommend!
Everything was perfect..great location very close to the spanish steps..trevi fountain..colloseum...the room was very beautifull and comfortable..we chose an executive suite with jacuzzi and round bed....the staff is very nice and makes you feel very welcome..the breakfest for lovers in the room is awsome...before arriving the property sent us an email asking if we have any requests..what kind of music would we like in the playlist...unfortunatelly we only spent 2 nights there but we will definatelly choose to stay back there if we would find ourselves in rome again!!
Suite Sistina is a brilliant hotel for couples. The jacuzzi in the room is the perfect touch after a long day of sight-seeing in the beauitful city of Rome. It is located a two minute walk from the spanish steps and a 10/15 minute walk from Trevi fountain. Wish they had more of these hotels around the world!
Our stay was perfect!!! Breakfast in the room was good but we were asked to pay for the service a second time by email (we paid 24 e of breakfast at the check in by cash) .. The location is fantastic and the staff of the Saturday night even more!
