My husband, myself, 13 year old boy and 7 year old girl enjoyed the 1 bedroom suite. Staff were helpful and good European style breakfast which we all enjoy. Good location near the Palantine Hill, Mouth of Truth and Trastavere section of town for dinner. About 15 minute walk to Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Nice size room especially for Rome but bathroom showing a little age. We did stay on the 1st floor so we did hear traffic noises but I enjoy that as part of the joy of Rome.

We stayed at this hotel twice on a recent trip. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to many of the things that we wanted to do. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and very efficient. The breakfast was very good and the overall experience very positive and provided good value for money. The only negatives for us were that we had problems with the Wi FI perhaps due to the building structure. We would have enjoyed an English speaking news channel on the TV. Will stay here again though if in Rome.

The hotel was close to all of the main attractions. It was the best deal I saw, but definitely not a 4-start hotel. It was worth the money for the location and the staff was very friendly.

It was really cozy despite of its not-so-expensive price. And, really good location for every sightseeing spot.

The hotel was very well kept, in a great location and our room had very good amenities. Very close to archaeological sites. We stayed there before taking off for a cruise trip in the mediterranean and this hotel outshone the cruise accommodations by a wide margin.

First time to Rome, the location of the Hotel was perfect. It was only a couple minute walk away from everything you want to see (minus Vatican City). The bus stop/ taxi stop is literally down the stairs and 50 feet away. The staff is extremely nice and will be happy to point you in the right direction. The only thing I wish they gave was FREE wifi but it was only 9 Euro for 24 hours so not too bad. The breakfast was nice but a little pricey. There is a bar just a minute walk away that serves very good food and drinks. I watched most of the world cup there. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling to Rome and wants to have an easy time.

The location is fabulous, with a Roman arch outside the front door and the Forum/Campidoglioj just up the hill. The staff was excellent, the room was clean and the breakfast was good. Great view from our balcony. The room and the hotel were up to date. The Internet charge was expensive for 2014.

Our goal in Rome was to see the Vatican and ancient Rome. The hotel is in walking distance of the Colosseum and the Palatine plus there is public transportation in front. The staff is very helpful with making transportation arrangements as needed. The hotel offers breakfast and there is a nice pub across the plaza at which you can order food and a church next door. Enjoyable stay.

Palazzo Al Velabro in Rome was a great hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. It included a kitchenette and dining area aw well as a comfortable bed room and bath. The staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast was much better than the typical continental. My wife cannot eat gluten and the selection of cheeses and meats at breakfast was so welcome. There were also the typical pastries and tarts... the coffee was very good as well. I did not get a chance to use the gym as we were out sightseeing most of the time but it looked decent, clean with new equipment

The location is excellent - near Colosseum and Roman Forum. The room was clean overall but the carpet could use some steam cleaning. The staff was friendly. Recommended for family with kids.

This is a great hotel! It was a 5 minute walk to the Forum and the Capitoline Hill, 5 minutes to great food in Trastavere, and 10 minutes to the Colosseum. It's on an easy and direct bus line to the Vatican and really is the perfect place to start on any walking/exploration tour of the historic center. Beyond it's great location, the rooms were the largest I've ever stayed in while in Europe -- large suites even by American standards. There are two tiers of room pricing -- those that have been renovated and those that have not. We stayed in an older, non-renovated room, which had an interesting and cool 60s mod vibe. Next time I stay at this hotel, however, (and next time I'm in Rome, I will) I'll go for the more modernized rooms. Breakfast was always quick and simple, though good. The staff, both in the breakfast room and at the front desk were friendly and extremely helpful! It's all the little nice things that really start to add up, like when they provide umbrellas to borrow because it's raining and you don't have one. Very pleased with our stay there!

we selected this hotel based on reviews and location. Needless to we thoroughly enjoyed . Hotel is centrally located , very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. If we were to visit Rome for sure will stay in the same hotel. There is reasonably priced restaurant only few steps away . Highly recommend to others

We stayed here for four nights. Nice place for the money. The room was very clean and a nice size. It had a separate living area with sofa and kitchenette, and bedroom. The air conditioner worked great and plenty of water pressure in the shower although it was a bit narrow. The free breakfast was nice in the morning; pastries, fresh fruit, meat, cheeses, bread, cereal. It was about a 15 minute walk to the metro station Circo Massimo and 20 minute walk to the Colosseum. It was down a quiet street. Only two restaurants close by. There was a snack shop on the corner that sold water and soda for a reasonable price.

Our family of four found this boutique hotel to be quite lovely and perfect for our trip. We loved it. Great location. Nice rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. We never would have found this one on our own.

Very happy with hotel service. Received free upgrade to 1 bedoom suite.
