It fine nothing more

We booked the room on the top floor. Stated it had a shower in what’s included in the room and it doesn’t, it’s an attachment on the bath that you can’t connect anywhere and held down by tape. One of the mattress was pretty worn out and could feel the springs. TV wouldn’t turn on but we didn’t need that as we didn’t spend much time in the room, we just wanted to check out Italian programming before bed and couldn’t. There was a constant beeping noise from a locked cupboard below our room, heared it all night and went off all day you can’t do anything about it, it disturbed our sleep. The room was worn but it’s a three star property so it’s to be expected. For what we needed for a room in Rome for it was fine. Great location for seeing all the sites and the metro is close.

Room for improvement

Great location. Walkable to a lot of things. Newly appointed room with nice bathroom. Comfy beds but pillows were barely pillows. Outlets are minimal and in the main bedroom there is one at the end of the bed. Because it is a basement suite it had a bit of a smell. A/C worked well. Check in process was really disappointing and frustrating. I was emailed twice asking for passport and checkin information and was asked to email or whatsapp information back but there was no email or Whatsapp number attached. I reached out to get that info 9 days out to no response. On my part I should have checked again but didn't until we arrived. When we arrived it took about 2 hours to get it sorted and then at that point was sent an App from hosts to enter all my personal info so finally got it sorted but it was 95 degrees out while we were waiting. We did get it sorted but the communication back and forth was very poor. Pictures from website do not represent the suite at all. Property has potential but has some things to fix and communication is an issue. We also had a Scorpion in our room which is nit the hosts fault but apparently can be common in Rome with bottom suites. Our other 5 stays through our Europe vacation were all 5 stars so this one was disappointing.

We arrived late in the evening and had no codes to get into the property. Once we managed to contact someone when we got to our room it was only set up for 2 people and not 3 that it was booked for. There was no sheets on the 2nd bed or pillow and only 2 towels. We messaged the owner back when we got to the room and they advised that the cleaners must have got it wrong but never responded when we asked to get sheets for the 2nd bed and an extra towel. We had to pull a sheet off the main bed and I had to wrap myself in it to sleep and no pillow. The next day it was the 2nd bed was made up. The room was very stuffy and musty smelling.

Good points, it is in the middle of the city and the price is ok. Not so good points, hallway smelled, AC did not work, so we had to sleep with the windows open in an extremely noisy area late at night and early morning. No closets or storage areas, single pillow per person and the second bed is a double bed. Shower doors don’t allow you to turn on the water and adjust the temperature without getting wet.

The pictures were nothing like the room i had booked- basment room, no light from outside, couldnt close any windows to block out the noise, no sleep due to the noise from the streets.. There was water all over the floor due to a toilet in the room next to me, i was told to just clean it up myself, instead of someone coming to fix the problem.. I had asked for a transfer for 11am the next morning, was asked to contact them in the morning about it, so i contacted them at 8am, and my response was, Sorry its too late to organise a transfer.. Horrible place to stay, horrible person i dealt with..

Great stay until something goes wrong

This is a self-service hotel, including check-in We had a great stay really enjoying the location which is superb.. until we got to experience the fire alarm and water flooding through the bedroom ceiling We were unable to use our bedroom the last night due to the water leaking through from above. We were also unable to get a hold off someone with most of the emergency numbers being inactive, with us having to turn off the fire alarm ourselves in the end Have yet to receive any formal information about the incident and let alone any form of reimbursement even though it’s been 4 weeks

Though we had a basement room it was not made clear there was no actual daylight coming either of the rooms. Fire alarm went off during the night and no one managing the property could be contacted. The alarm went on for an hour. Not happy. Worrying and anxiety inducing.

Great area to stay

Lovely area to stay! Close to everything & walkable area. TAXI area out by cafes. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy. I would beware if you are tall! We are not but my husband still kept hitting his head on the beams! He’s 5’9… so keep that in mind. Also, there is construction immediately out the door so they are throwing huge loud items in metal dumpsters starting at sunrise!! Also, check in was not that smooth with no one there. You are left stumbling your way thru it all. Finally the owner or admin was messaging us NONSTOP over the $30 tax fee money! We use hotels.com for comfort and convenience & not Airbnb … this felt very airbnb with the hastles.

The property is in a nice neighborhood and many taxis that wait at the piazza Popolo making it very easy to get around. The room was clean and the service was very accommodating to our special needs. We lost an expensive item at the room and they held it for us. The only negative is that the main bed is a bit hard.

The smell in this unit was of dense mold. My daughter was nauseous so we had to move to another place. There were four of us and there wasn’t enough room for our luggage. It is so tiny and so hot. I contacted the property letting them know I had to leave And requested a refund for the two days we didn’t stay, and I have yet to receive anything. Due to the last minute, we had to pay quite a bit more for the hotel we moved to.
