Bottom line: I will stay at this hotel if I return to Rome. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed being in the center of all the sights so we could walk everywhere--and we did! We only used a taxi from the airport to the hotel and then again from the hotel to the train. The facilities--although not exciting--were decent and clean. Location was the most important factor in choosing this hotel and we were not disappointed. The front desk was always helpful and pleasant to deal with. I asked for a burned out light bulb to be replaced and it was done while we were gone sightseeing. Breakfast was good. There is a lobby seating area if you are travelling with a small group and want to socialize.
I booked a room at Hotel Tiziano for a one night stay in Rome, and boy am I lucky it was only for one night. I booked this hotel specifically because priceline said it was a 4-star hotel. THIS HOTEL IS A 2-STAR hotel at best. I understand it's Europe and some things are outdated and that's totally cool. SOME things being outdated is part of the charm. This place is more than outdated. They don't even have automated key card for the doors. Upon arrival they give you an actual key with a fob that weighs about 5 pounds. Our hallway just had bags of linens and laundry strewn about throughout our stay along with an ironing board outside our door that never moved. The room itself was a bit musty. You can't adjust the air. I immediately took the comforter off the bed because it looked like it was about 30 yeas old and had never been cleaned. I'm typically not this critical of a hotel, but then again I've never stayed in a hotel like this that represents itself with 4 STARS. BLEHHHHHH! And if you are driving have fun with the whole parking situation.
It is an old property well maintained. Very small showers- if you are a large person. It is very convenient to transportation and walking to many key attractions. Helpful staff. We spent one night. It was perfect. Breakfast very good.
An excellent stay. I loved the location and the rooms were excellent. Very well organized and clean. I appreciated the staff, and they were very helpful with everything I needed and had excellent suggestions for things to do and eat around the hotel.
The hotel Tiziano convinces through its optimal location, its friendly staff and delicious breakfirst. If you are looking for a hotel based in the centre of all the attractions then Tiziano is the optimal choice for you. As an example, Piazza Navone is max 10 min walking distance away from the hotel, St. Peter's square 20 min walking distance. Another winning factor for this hotel is that directly in front of the hotel there is a bus stop. To put aside all those praises you should also be informed that the aircon was not available for use and so the room got quite sticky during the afternoon but cooled off during the night.
When you're in Rome and you want a hotel that is perfectly located in order to be walking distance from the Vatican, the Colosseum, the Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, the Piazza Navona, this hotel is perfect. Rooms are small, but comfortable & clean. Breakfast is fine with a very nice selection, fresh fruit and delicious cappuccino. Good value plus perfect location equal an excellent choice for your Rome visit.
Our first floor street side room had beautiful 20 foot ceilings, but was horrendously loud with traffic and drunken revelers at 1, 2, and 3 a.m. The bed was like sleeping on an ancient roman slab. The AC did not work, and the room (even in March) was scorching, but it was too loud to open a window. We moved to an "upgraded" triple room on the 4th floor, which was very quiet, but very sparse and ugly. Lime green walls and a low ceiling. That bed was like a sleeping on a medieval Roman slab. The shower head was broken, and there was no safe (I may be missing a couple hundred Euros, but I'm not 100% sure. They quickly fixed the shower head. The towels were very soft, and the breakfast was good. The staff was courteous and professional, but not overly friendly. Overall, the place was not a dump, but not far off. Certainly not 4 stars, probably not 3 stars, but a solid 2 star facility. If your ok with noise, and location is top priority this hotel is good. If you are staying for a few days, it will get tiresome quickly.
We were here for four nights with 67% discount so Price was ok. Room were very clean but a bit old. Breakfast was ok but nothing extra ordinary comparing to basic scandinavian hotel breakfast. Hotel staf is very friendly. Some noice from streets but nothing very loud, beds were good :)
Very old but quite central, just a short distance to Navona and Pantheon and restaurants etc. Nice and helpful staff. Okay breakfast. We stayed 4 nights and had family room. which was ok. Cheap hotel but really need upgrading.
Stayed 2 nights, location is very good but rooms are basic enough. Hotel decor is tired and seen better days but with city breaks as long as your room is clean & comfortable suppose that's most important. Breakfast is basic but does as it says. Rome is very expensive with a beer in a normal bar costing €5+ and main courses in most restaurants costs €25+. 3 hour wait for popular tourist attraction, give yourself time.
