We had six days in Rome, and the quaint Hotel Siviglia was perfect for the two of us. The staff, (desk, housekeeping, and breakfast hostess) were all friendly, cheerful and ready to help us in verifying travel arrangements, etc. It was a great experience, The hotel is small, but more than adequate for a medium budget trip. The breakfast was great, a quiet dining area with a hostess who was very attentive and "right there" with fresh early morning Italian coffee. It was a great value in our opinion!!!
It was one of the cheapiest hotels we found in Rome. You have free internet and breakfast. The breakfast was not that good, but it works just to have food in your stomach before all the sight-seeing. The room where pretty nice, romantic and special. Large rooms, both livingroom/bedroom and bathroom.
Çok fena. Tuvalet bozuk, dolap kırık, duşa girmek istemedim. Çarşaflar dışında odada veya otelde temiz bir şey görmedim. Big disappointment. Broken toilet, broken cabinet, didn't even dared to take a shower. I haven't seen any thing clean in the room or hotel, except the bed sheets. I friend had a room (in the garden, outside the hotel building) which we believe belonged to the workers. Beware...
I was upgraded free of charge to a double room (which was spacious) and the staff were nice and helpful. It was a 3 star hotel and it was what I expected. Close to a metro station and Rome's main station is very close too.
The hotel needs to be totally restored. The room is quite small with old-fashioned furniture and not very clean. The staff is very nice and friendly. Breakfast is quite good. My experience at the hotel was without praise or blame
Stayed here via Budget travel weekend in Rome. Great location as it is just 10 mins max walk to Stazione Termini. We took the Citi Shuttle from Ciampino booked via Ryanair website ... very reasonable at 4.50 euro and dropped us at the Termini. Hotel itself is budget olde Roman world but clean with good buffet continental breakfast and lovely reception and morning staff. Have to pay 4euro pp per night tax on check out.
Our room and shower was pokey and in need of an overhaul. Paper peeling off wall. Beds clean and towels and sheets changed daily which was a positive. Breakfasts average. Mostly the staff were pleasant enough, except for the night receptionist who was downright rude. We were in a group of about 10 people conversing in the foyer after a dinner out (there was nowhere else to go as there's no hotel bar) Though it was only ten past 11 he high-handedly moved us on as if we were causing a riot. He was rude and aggressive and in no way was this an appropriate response . I would not recommend this hotel. If you are in the hotel business you have no right to make people feel unwelcome.
This hotel is located about a 5-10 minute walk from Roma Termini which is great and convenient if you're traveling around Italy via train, or even just Rome itself as it also houses the metro system. The hotel is an older building, so keep this in mind when judging the rooms. Yes, some paint was peeling in some areas, and sure, the wallpaper was peeling in some as well but overall this hotel was our favourite out of our four stays in Italy. We were given a balcony at check in for no extra cost and it was gorgeous, complete with a swing, table and chairs, lime tree and the most beautiful view. The room was clean, came with a mini bar/fridge, and complimentary breakfast was quite good. The front desk staff always remembered who we were coming back to pick up our key, always greeted us with a smile, and assisted us with booking a tour and getting the metro system figured out for our stops we had to take to get to meeting locations. EXCELLENT customer service experience here. One morning we woke up to no power in our rooms, surrounding rooms and the hallway but it was quickly fixed when brought to the attention of the concierge. Pros: Safe for valuables at the front desk for an additional daily charge, but we were happy to have somewhere to keep our passports, cash and credit cards secure! Great location, free wi-fi and breakfast, beautiful view if you're lucky enough to get a room with a terrace, safe and convenient location. Cons: You have to lock your room at night with your key from the inside, some wear on the rooms, but I don't even consider this a negative. It just added to the character of the hotel! The AC also didn't work phenomenally, so we kept the terrace shutters closed but the doors open at night. Could get a little bit loud early in the morning since there's a lot of shops nearby that got their deliveries, but this is hardly the fault of the hotel.
The hotel is located a five minute walk from Terminii Rail Station and is easy to find. Using it as a base to explore Rome, it was an excellent location to get access to the Metro, rail terminal and even to explore on foot. Security is not a problem, having the Turkish Embassy across the road ensured armed soldiers are outside 24/7. The hotel does retain some nice characteristics but this is also it's little downfall. We had two rooms, both comfortable but the furniture is a little tired, and the plumbing a bit quirky! Our rooms were on the ground floor, which is above street level. However communal wheelie bins were located on the street outside our windows and are emptied on a regular basis, early in the morning!! The rooms were cleaned and beds made every day, always a welcome sight when returning from sight seeing. The staff were very helpful and friendly, always smiling and amenable. Breakfast was a basic continental affair, best described as average. Locally there are some fantastic restaurants, literally within 2-3 minutes walk (check Google maps using the free hotel WiFi). All in all, satisfactory, don't expect a high class hotel, but it was good value for what we paid. One final note, we did not find the roof terrace until the last night, definitely worth spending an evening up there taking in the city.
Basically, you get what you pay for. A bit rundown, breakfast not particularly good, but good location, relatively clean, bathroom fine. Note that my room was on the first floor overlooking the dumpster- which is emptied early in the morning.
