Guest reviews for Hotel Rubino
They sent me to an old apartment building nearby but helped me move my luggage there. Quiet room, but linens and towels didn't smell clean. Shower head worked but couldn't stay in place.
good budget hotel for train travel
Overall my experience was pleasant enough. I am a solo traveller with no kids. The hotel is literally half a block from the train station. I found Rome to be a very walkable city so it s not too bad for sightseeing purposes either. My room was clean, but the toilet was not located en suitebut rather down the hall. It did have a shower in the room though so I was not bothered too much by that. You have to pay 5€ if you want wifi access. Staff not particularly friendly but they did answer all my questions. Overall a solid budget hotel.
I found what I expected but the breakfast was a joke! I was sent to the bar/cafe around the corner. You got a cup of coffee and the man cut you a slice of a cake (I do not eat cake) . There was nothing else! When I Ordered another cup of coffee, I was made to pay Euro 1.50. The next three days I skipped breakfast.
clean but spartan
Great location, less than half a block to Stazione Termini (train station). Rooms were clean if spartan (a music video station was the only tv channel), but for the money, it was a good experience.
worst hotel we have ever been in.
They did not have our room ready, had to be moved to another hotel for the night. Came back to this hotel and discovered there was no air conditioning.
