The staff was very friendly and helpful providing a map to show all the attractions nearby. You can’t beat the location right on the via Nazionale for the cost of the room...I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in mid-October 2017. The weather was sunny and around 25-27’c. The hotel is situated in the center of the city, about 10 minutes’ walk from the Colosseum. The reception is on the 3rd floor. There is a small elevator to take up if you have luggage. On arrival, the service was prompt and friendly. The receptionists spoke good English and provided us with a map with recommendations of popular hotspots for sightseeing as well showing us where the hotel was situated. Although we had already paid, it was a requirement to take our card details in case of damage to the room. This custom seemed pretty commonplace in Italy. Nice! One of the receptionists carried up our suitcases to the room and took 5 minutes out to explain breakfast times and how the air conditioning, heated floor in the bathroom and balcony doors worked before checking we were comfortable and wishing us a pleasant stay. The room we stayed in was ‘a double deluxe balcony’ which has high ceilings, a double bed, a single bed, en suite, balcony, desk, TV, wardrobe, mirror, phone and mini-fridge. The room is light and airy with plenty of room for a couple or a small family. The hotel is situated on the Via Nazionale which is a very busy street; the balcony doors have excellent sound and light proofing so much so that when you open the doors, you are met with a cacophony of noise which is otherwise unnoticeable with the doors shut. The balcony is small with a couple of chairs but offers good views of the city with some beautiful sunsets on show. The en-suite is very serviceable with a medium sized shower, toilet, bidet, sink and hairdryer. The shower was either very hot or freezing, so it takes a couple of goes to get the temperature just right. Once you have it though, it was great. Shampoo, shower gels and soaps are provided. The heated floor was a nice extra. The hotel also provides 2 small and 2 large towels once per day when servicing the room. If you can speak Italian, you’ll be delighted with the TV which was a pretty up to date, flat screen affair with at least 50 channels. There was nothing in English, but we enjoyed watching their versions of ‘Come Dine with Me’, ‘Bake Off’ and ‘Take Me Out’. Otherwise, we didn’t watch much. The small refrigerator was good for keeping drinks and small snacks in for the evening and didn’t make any noise. The air conditioning in our room was effective but a little noisy. We had it running on ‘low’ in the evenings and it didn’t disturb us. The beds were very comfy; they provide just a double sheet which was fine for us. There was a blanket in the wardrobe. The bed side tables had light switches on each side for controlling the lights in the room, and there was the usual European plug sockets for charging phones etc. The door to the corridor locks automatically, so don’t go out without your key! They do recommend to double lock the door for safety. Overall, the hotel was clean, quiet and felt safe. It was a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. We would definitely recommend folks to stay here, especially due to its great location and convenience. Buon viaggio!

centrally located this hotel will suit those after a no frills hotel. Located on the 3rd/4th floor, expect to climb those stairs as the elevator is tiny and slow. Rooms are big & functional but lacked character or charm. Breakfast was OK. Walls to the rooms were quite thin as we had some noisy guests next door. Reception staff was somewhat abrupt. Wifi was slow & intermittent.

All the moments of our stay were wonderful: the room was clean and cozy, the breakfasts were tasty and hearty, and the location of the hotel was just perfect. We've enjoyed being there, because every hotel employee did everything to make our rest comfortable and pleasant. We didn't use public transport, because all sights easily accessible on foot. There are also lots of cafes, restaurants and different shops nearby. We have no doubt about the choice of the hotel in Rome next time! Many thanks to Mizan and all the hotel staff for the warm welcome and hospitality. It was a pleasure to be your guests and we'd like to return and see you again. All the best! Maria and Svetlana.

The location of this place is fantastic. Bus stop across the road and walking distance to the train station. Walking distance to attractions like the Trevi fountain. I stayed 2 nights and although the bed is a little hard the bathroom looks newly renovated and is clean.

We booked this hotel many, many months in advance - therefore we got a good deal. It's how things work - hotels sell rooms in advance for a cheaper price. However, upon arrival we were told we weren't staying here - but instead were staying in another hotel down the road because they didn't have any rooms free for us. That hotel was cheap, nasty, dirty and very unhelpful. Upon going back to this hotel to complain (as we were their customers, not customers of this other hotel they sent us to), they told us that it would normally cost more at the time of the year we were staying, as if it was somehow our fault that they sold us the rooms far in advance for a cheaper price. I wouldn't risk staying here after our experience, any company which thinks it has the right to decide not to let you use a room you paid for, giving no warning - the first we heard of this was when we arrived. *Do not risk*

This place is disgusting, dirty, smells and the staff are incredibly rude. I would not recommend this place at all, especially when there are so many better places so close by. It was such a waste of money and very stressful as the staff were so nasty.

We booked this hotel based mainly on its excellent location, it is very close by and within walking distance to most monuments which is perfect. Here is where my review goes down hill, The first guy we had on reception when we checked in was polite and showed us s map of the city and where to walk, what buses to take and so forth, all very helpful which was great. He then took us to the building next door which is where our room was. I will mention now that the room we booked on booking.com looked clean, tidy and not too fancy so we didn't have huge expectations to begin with, gladly. The hotel itself is way outdated and the rooms look very basic with a mismatch of furniture. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and left me and my boyfriend with stiff necks for the few nights we stayed there, owing to the dreadfully hard mattress and pillows! Wifi was free but would cut out frequently which was irritating given we wanted to look up restaurants etc nearby, and it would often cut out at random times. Lucky we have free roaming! The bathroom smelt funny, not sure why but perhaps it's the chemicals they clean the rooms with, the shower was tiny and they left us with 1 toilet paper, which is a little silly. Also there was a huge smashed window in the bathroom, appeared to plastic on the inside and glass outside. Wasn't a good look to have a broken window, let alone the safety aspect! There was no kettle provided as noted in the amenities list on our confirmation. And the TV was all Italian channels, none in English at all, waste of time having a TV. We went to speak to reception a day before we were due to checkout to ask if we would be ok to checkout a little later, an hour or so more as our transfer was arriving at 2, so we would be on the bench outside in 33c heat for 3 hours. I had already previously requested this as there was an option to do so via booking.com, however I never received a response from the hotel, and that was nearly a month prior. The guy on reception was incredibly rude to me. He said simply "no, your checkout is 11" and dismissed me. I began to explain that yes I am aware and that I had requested it a while ago but hadn't heard from them. He then went on to say "well, maybe we missed the email" as if that's ok and I should just get over it! By this point I wasn't amused, I told him it is stupid to have a system that allows me to request it, and not receive a response back at all, why was the option available to me if you don't read emails?! He then interrupted me and raised his voice to say "NO Madame, it is not stupid" by this point I am livid with his entire attitude, how dare he speak down to me! He then smirked at me like a child and said there will be a cost if you want the room longer, by this point I have had enough and advised I am not paying a cost, he then said "you didn't even ask how much before saying no" smirking at me like he is so pleased with himself for being so rude to me! Honestly the hotel is a joke and seriously let down by its lack of customer service! I will never stay here again, pay the extra to stay elsewhere it's worth it!

Hotel Esposizione is located on Via Nazionale a popular street with lost of retail shops, restaurants and gelato shops. We Stayed here for 2 nights and had a comfortable stay. Since the buildings are old the elevators cant accommodate a lot of people. They are small elevators but it wasnt an issue for us. We didnt mind walking up to the 4th floor. The receptionist was courteous and helpful at check-in. She gave us a map of Rome and highlighted all the sites that were within walking distance to the hotel. The Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Forum are 15 minutes walk south of the hotel. The Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are 15-20 minutes walk north of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The rooms were big and the bathroom itself was big but for some reason the showers were really small. See the pictures. We had free wifi but there was no breakfast provided which we didnt mind as there were some nice cafe's close by. Overall my family of 5 had a good stay here. I would recommend this hotel based on price and its location.

we booked We booked a "Double superior room". We got a super tiny room. I attached pictures what we got and of course, we asked changed the room. We didn't book for tiny size room then i wouldn't pay more than regular room type and won't stay either!! Rome sized was totally different with web description. The staff(men) was very rude. He didn't try to solve the problem. He was saying irrelevant things. He said why do we book 3 stars hotel which is he is working for. Honestly, we stayed 3 other hotels in Rome during this trip even 1 star hotel was better. It was just impossible to communicate normally with him and make things better. There was no apologize!! He apologized next day but come on, you made us upset and still gave us worsen room. That's not acceptable. Even online customer service is horrible. They will ignore your e-mail.
