All the moments of our stay were wonderful: the room was clean and cozy, the breakfasts were tasty and hearty, and the location of the hotel was just perfect. We've enjoyed being there, because every hotel employee did everything to make our rest comfortable and pleasant. We didn't use public transport, because all sights easily accessible on foot. There are also lots of cafes, restaurants and different shops nearby. We have no doubt about the choice of the hotel in Rome next time! Many thanks to Mizan and all the hotel staff for the warm welcome and hospitality. It was a pleasure to be your guests and we'd like to return and see you again. All the best! Maria and Svetlana.
The location of this place is fantastic. Bus stop across the road and walking distance to the train station. Walking distance to attractions like the Trevi fountain. I stayed 2 nights and although the bed is a little hard the bathroom looks newly renovated and is clean.
We booked this hotel many, many months in advance - therefore we got a good deal. It's how things work - hotels sell rooms in advance for a cheaper price. However, upon arrival we were told we weren't staying here - but instead were staying in another hotel down the road because they didn't have any rooms free for us. That hotel was cheap, nasty, dirty and very unhelpful. Upon going back to this hotel to complain (as we were their customers, not customers of this other hotel they sent us to), they told us that it would normally cost more at the time of the year we were staying, as if it was somehow our fault that they sold us the rooms far in advance for a cheaper price. I wouldn't risk staying here after our experience, any company which thinks it has the right to decide not to let you use a room you paid for, giving no warning - the first we heard of this was when we arrived. *Do not risk*
This place is disgusting, dirty, smells and the staff are incredibly rude. I would not recommend this place at all, especially when there are so many better places so close by. It was such a waste of money and very stressful as the staff were so nasty.
We booked this hotel based mainly on its excellent location, it is very close by and within walking distance to most monuments which is perfect. Here is where my review goes down hill, The first guy we had on reception when we checked in was polite and showed us s map of the city and where to walk, what buses to take and so forth, all very helpful which was great. He then took us to the building next door which is where our room was. I will mention now that the room we booked on booking.com looked clean, tidy and not too fancy so we didn't have huge expectations to begin with, gladly. The hotel itself is way outdated and the rooms look very basic with a mismatch of furniture. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and left me and my boyfriend with stiff necks for the few nights we stayed there, owing to the dreadfully hard mattress and pillows! Wifi was free but would cut out frequently which was irritating given we wanted to look up restaurants etc nearby, and it would often cut out at random times. Lucky we have free roaming! The bathroom smelt funny, not sure why but perhaps it's the chemicals they clean the rooms with, the shower was tiny and they left us with 1 toilet paper, which is a little silly. Also there was a huge smashed window in the bathroom, appeared to plastic on the inside and glass outside. Wasn't a good look to have a broken window, let alone the safety aspect! There was no kettle provided as noted in the amenities list on our confirmation. And the TV was all Italian channels, none in English at all, waste of time having a TV. We went to speak to reception a day before we were due to checkout to ask if we would be ok to checkout a little later, an hour or so more as our transfer was arriving at 2, so we would be on the bench outside in 33c heat for 3 hours. I had already previously requested this as there was an option to do so via booking.com, however I never received a response from the hotel, and that was nearly a month prior. The guy on reception was incredibly rude to me. He said simply "no, your checkout is 11" and dismissed me. I began to explain that yes I am aware and that I had requested it a while ago but hadn't heard from them. He then went on to say "well, maybe we missed the email" as if that's ok and I should just get over it! By this point I wasn't amused, I told him it is stupid to have a system that allows me to request it, and not receive a response back at all, why was the option available to me if you don't read emails?! He then interrupted me and raised his voice to say "NO Madame, it is not stupid" by this point I am livid with his entire attitude, how dare he speak down to me! He then smirked at me like a child and said there will be a cost if you want the room longer, by this point I have had enough and advised I am not paying a cost, he then said "you didn't even ask how much before saying no" smirking at me like he is so pleased with himself for being so rude to me! Honestly the hotel is a joke and seriously let down by its lack of customer service! I will never stay here again, pay the extra to stay elsewhere it's worth it!
Hotel Esposizione is located on Via Nazionale a popular street with lost of retail shops, restaurants and gelato shops. We Stayed here for 2 nights and had a comfortable stay. Since the buildings are old the elevators cant accommodate a lot of people. They are small elevators but it wasnt an issue for us. We didnt mind walking up to the 4th floor. The receptionist was courteous and helpful at check-in. She gave us a map of Rome and highlighted all the sites that were within walking distance to the hotel. The Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Forum are 15 minutes walk south of the hotel. The Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are 15-20 minutes walk north of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The rooms were big and the bathroom itself was big but for some reason the showers were really small. See the pictures. We had free wifi but there was no breakfast provided which we didnt mind as there were some nice cafe's close by. Overall my family of 5 had a good stay here. I would recommend this hotel based on price and its location.
we booked We booked a "Double superior room". We got a super tiny room. I attached pictures what we got and of course, we asked changed the room. We didn't book for tiny size room then i wouldn't pay more than regular room type and won't stay either!! Rome sized was totally different with web description. The staff(men) was very rude. He didn't try to solve the problem. He was saying irrelevant things. He said why do we book 3 stars hotel which is he is working for. Honestly, we stayed 3 other hotels in Rome during this trip even 1 star hotel was better. It was just impossible to communicate normally with him and make things better. There was no apologize!! He apologized next day but come on, you made us upset and still gave us worsen room. That's not acceptable. Even online customer service is horrible. They will ignore your e-mail.
So near to all the sites. Stayed here for city break with family, there was 6 of us 2 adults 1 child in each room, stayed on top floor with balconies. (See view from room). Room was clean tidy and maid service every day. Asked for kettle and got one. fridge in room to keep drinks cool. Air con brilliant didn't have breakfast in hotel, as we had balcony to eat croissants on. Arman the receptionist works hard to assist in anyway he can always friendly and polite
This hotel is in a fantastic location, 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum and 10 minutes in the other direction to the Trevi Fountain and about half an hour to the Vatican, walking. I would definitely stay here again. Reception were helpful especially Arman. Wifi worked in our room, bed was comfy and room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels given. Easy access to the shuttle bus to the airport. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.
This is a three star hotel and unlike other three star hotels that offer air conditioning (but control it from reception so that in fact it becomes ineffective ) it works! A great relief on a hot day in Rome! The room was recently refurbished and contained all the essentials. I had a balcony overlooking the city and it transformed the experience being able to sit out in the sun with a glass of prosecco and savour the hustle and bustle of the city. To be recommended! The tv and wifi were erratic. The shower automatically went from very hot to cold. Once you synchronised yourself accordingly, it worked out ok! Arman the receptionist was charming, most welcoming and helpful. In many ways he redeemed the hotel from its minor inadequacies - He was five star! Derekdublin
