눇We found this hotel excellent for our purpose which was to spend 3 nights in Rome before embarking on a cruise. The bedroom was a reasonable size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a bath with a shower overhead and also a telephone shower The breakfast was a typically European with a broad spread of cereals, yogurt, boiled eggs, breads, cakes, juices and fresh fruit The bus stop to and from the city was very close. Both bus 160 and 30 will take you to Piazza Venezia and along the Corso. Not far from the hotel, in Via Ortiense is a little village with a florist, fruit and vegetable shop and variety of specialist shops all at reasonable prices. 눉Only concern was that the bath was very slippery and had to be very careful when using the shower. Suggest a non-slip bath mat for safety
Just returned from a 4 night stay at Caravel Hotel, rooms where a good size, good continental breakfast and everything else about our stay here was lovely. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for something which is nice with a good price but a little out of the centre, located only a 15 minuet walk to the Garbatella Metro Station which is really easy to use to get in and around the city & is only 3 stops to the colosseum. Would highly recommend this hotel if you don't mind walking around quite a lot and want something a bit cheaper our of the centre of the hustle and bustle of Rome
Stayed with hubby at this hotel.. not too bad to town as peopke reported. Cleanliness is excellent. Rooms a were comfortable but the bed kept moving around when trying to get a cuddle from hubby.😐😐😐😐
The good: The hotel was nice and new. The bathroom was clean and the bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and sufficient. The man from the reception was nice and helpful. The hotel has a luggage room where you can store your belongings if you come too early or need to leave after the check out time. The BAD: The maids/cleaning personnel woke us at 7 a clock with their chit-chat. They were soo loud that we tried couldn't ignore them even if we were extremely tired. At a point, we heard them actually moving a bed (or some furniture). I understand they need to clean but considering the check out is early (at 11), I think they have plenty of time to do that after people leave, instead of ruining guests sleep. We liked the hotel in general, but we had a terrible sleep.
Stayed here for 4 nights. First of all we were put on the 1st floor in a very small cramped room where you would hit your elbows on the shower door when using. You could hear the taps next door running through the walls and even footsteps. After complaining to reception they kindly moved us to the 4th floor only to have the same problems regarding noise from next door. We could also hear footsteps above, doors slamming at all hours of the night with people in the hallways shouting and talking loudly. Even on the 4th floor we could still hear the noise from the main road. The hotel is also not very central and is a 20 to 30 minute bus ride into the centre. Although the staff were pleasant, rooms clean this was greatly outweighed by the poor construction of the hotel being that you could literally hear people in the room next door coughing or walking. Stayed for 4 nights and did not have one night's good sleep. (Cleaner also stole the other half's new razor blade and razors on the first night!)
Lovely hotel, very clean! Breakfast was slightly disappointing but only because I’m used to the selection of full English / cereal / fruit etc whereas this hotel provides an American style continental breakfast! There are bins outside the hotel which doesn’t do it justice when you first arrive, but when you’re inside it’s perfect, very modern, well sized rooms with a fabulous bathroom!
The room was clean and tidy with fresh bed linen and towels daily. The hotel met our needs because we preferred to be up and off early and stay out all day till early evening. The breakfast was very basic continental style. We had to ask for tea and coffee facilities which we received promptly. However the tea and coffee was not replenished daily and the cups were not changed. The hotel appears to be more suitable for Italians on business. The staff do not appear very helpful, however this is probably due to th language barrier. The hotel is near to the transport links, however we did not choose to use the transport system because we like to walk. It is around a 2.5 mile walk to the centre
On evening arrival reception were less than helpful when asked if restaurant or bar was available only to be told it was full and there is no bar then ignored. staff at breakfast ignore everyone unless you are Italian who then get special treatment. food choice poor. Tea and coffee making facilities have to be requested no fridge available. The restaurant staff and food were good but you are not encouraged to linger when finished hotel and Rooms are clean.
Hotel is very modern and clean. It has air conditioning, which is very useful as Rome was very hot even in March. WiFi is free and is very good. We were there on a B&B basis. The breakfast was the usual continental but had options for everyone's tastes. The journey into the centre of Rome could be done on either the bus, train or taxi but we chose to walk the 30 minutes daily just because we love walking 😊. The restaurant caters for diners in the evening and is good quality but the choice is limited. We ate there for two out of our four nights. The other two we chose to eat at the local pizza restaurant two minutes up the road from our hotel. Choices of where to eat were our only gripe as to where the hotel was situated. Overall a good stay.
I spent one night in this hotel. The room is comfortable and clean. The only weakness is the breakfast, the overall quality is very average and they have the same bad use to offer concentrate based juices that are impossible to drink
