Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Very convenient if flying out the next day. Clean and comfortable. Otherwise, not really near anything.

Everything was terrific except for a very poor dinner at the restaurant Where else in Italy would iceberg lettuce alone- nothing else- and not hearts of lettuce either- be considered a salad? And that wasn't the only sub standard part of the dinner

Traveled in late from the Rome sister airport CIA, Stayed only one night for a airport transfer stop. Worked really well.

A great structure run by people who obviously never stayed in a hotel. Elevators out of service, broken toilets, ridiculous price for mediocre breakfast.

Good for a stay when you have an early flight or you get in late.

Easy checkin, great room, and excellent breakfast the following morning prior to leaving.

The hotel is nice, rooms were clean, great breakfast buffet but the same as all over Italy. The pick up at the airport was difficult to figure out, especially at 11:00 at night. But found the bus, tried to hold on to luggage as driver ran stop signs and we got to hotel. Ride back to airport was the same, hold on tight! Italian drivers go fast, run stop signs so it was not an easy ride holding on to suitcase. Otherwise, not bad.

Though room is small it is adequate size, bed was comfortable, food in restaurant fine. Perfect for a short stay as very near airport with shuttle starting at 5AM

The room was comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful, but I was not fond of the food. The dinner menu is the same as the lunch menu. So on the days you get a late start or want to call it an early night and decide to just eat at the hotel- your choices become immediately limited. Additionally, paid the little extra for complimentary breakfast each day- but after the first day, we purposely slept in and went out for lunch in the city instead. Everything was cold and not appetizing in the least. I tried to get coffee, but there was no milk left or cream. So we decided it wasnt worth it to wake up early and hope for the best- and instead slept late so we could get lunch in the city. Consider the cost of travel into the city (see my location notes) when booking- it might be worth it to spend the extra money and find a hotel closer to the city.

The only negative about this hotel is that the walls are thin and we could hear everything from our upstairs neighbors

Very nice hotel. Very slow check-in...understaffed; slow service at the bar and restaurant again because they are understaffed

As with most of Italy's service people they were not so friendly, especially the restaurant. Cold and unfriendly, verging on rude. Perhaps an American company could have an English speaking, friendly employee. That would make the stay much more pleasant! The check in process was very slow but at least they were nice. Shower in room 511 is in need of repair. Water sprays everywhere and the sink needs to be unclogged. Nice bath products and thank you for the coffee in the rooms.

This hotel was what we expected, after a trip of 2 weeks in diferent hotels and cities, what you need is just one relax night before coming back home

Staff could be friendlier, but overall it was a nice experience. Clean, nice, and convenient.

The hotel staff and accommodations were excellent - very spacious considering the other hotels we stayed at while traveling in Europe. We left early in the morning for our flight out of Rome and the breakfast was really good and the shuttle was very convenient. The hotel restaurant and bar was also perfect for dinner after we checked in the night before, as there were no other restaurants nearby. We are a family of 4, and were able to get a two bedroom suite for a reasonable price, and we all slept very comfortably. This was a great way to ease back into a more "American" feeling hotel before our long flight home. We will definitely stay there again and will recommend to friends traveling from Rome!

Nice, clean, modern western hotel very close to the airport: Pro's - Comfortable bed/pillow Quiet room Plenty of hot water/nice towels Shuttle to the airport (every 15 minutes) - Ultra early flights should check with hotel staff Very nice breakfast at "reasonable" price (Note: We received promotional pricing) My wife proclaims "Largest/Fastest hotel elevator in Italy) Con's - No other food options in the immediate vicinity King size bed created from two twins Shuttle bus driver was VERY lazy and won't help those in need with heavy luggage (not an issue for us) That's it..............Happy travels.

Well located, free shuttle every 15 minutes to the airport. Careful w the incidentals - all the "extras" are really expensive. For example a club sandwich in the restaurant is 17 euros

We were somewhat disappointed with the hotel thinking that with the Hilton branding it should have been better. Where they fell short for us was first with the name 'Garden Inn' we expected a garden or courtyard with plants and perhaps a pool all of which to lounge around. We were wrong to assume that. The lounge/restaurant/lobby is more like a large open cafeteria than anything more. It lacked in intimacy, character, style and any real distinction between areas. Third was the restaurant which was a real disappointment. First of all not open until 7:00 PM and so with nothing else around your only choice if hungry earlier, is something from the mini bar shop. Breakfast was a HUGE disappointment and I walked out without eating. The signage indicated a personal breakfast with things like omelettes. Reality was that it was a buffet that was not much better than a motel continental breakfast. Cold powdered eggs, greasy bacon, powdered fruit juices, powdered coffee and a limited selection of fresh fruits, cold cuts and pastries. On the positive side. It is clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. It is very close to the airport, and a free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes makes the transition fairly painless.

Met all expectations and proximity is number 1 on the list for in transit

Room was fine---nothing impressive, but good enough for a one-night stay before a flight.
