Disappointed
We arrived late and the staff was able to get us room service 10 minutes after it was closed. They also told us we could check-out an hour later since we arrived late due to a flight delay. So kudos on that. The room was spacious and clean. The issues started in the morning. A trickle of running water (this is their top-end suite). When we called and it came on, it was sandy and discolored for some time.
The buffet food was ok, but the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The shuttle they offered to the airport is VERY infrequent, so we had to wait an hour for the next one. We had hoped to get a cold soda while we waited. We were told “it’s not possible.”
We stayed at a wonderful hotel in Milan where the nightly cost was twice as much, but they bent over backwards to be helpful. The breakfast was awesome and they always had drinks of all kinds available in their courtyard.
The place we stayed in Trieste was half the cost of this Rome stay at this property. Yet the service and willingness to be helpful was still better.
Disappointed.
