I have stayed at the Hassler previously and this recent trip did not disappoint. The staff is super attentive and helpful, the recently renovated rooms are very nice, the breakfast buffet is delicious and the location atop the Spanish Steps is superb.
This is an extraordinary Hotel with exceptional execution of style and service, the rooms are large and as expected very traditional chic. When I chose to stay at the Hassler I expected a lot, because a lot was promised, in reality it delivered on a lot but I had a few reasons why we chose the Hassler over any others in Rome: 1. location - and it didn't disappoint 2. presence and prestige - and it had both 3. the roof top bar with view of Rome - we wanted to enjoy the view and Aperitivo and it was closed to us! On the first evening we discovered that it was rented out to a private function and then the main area was closed for the next two! Yes the side patio was open (that closed 2 hours before it was meant too) and it shared the same view but it was like a balcony in comparison and failed to deliver Part of the reason the Hassler didn't quite wow us was that we had just come from Castello da Vicarello and Portrait Firenze where we were engaged with by teams of enthusiastic hosts and delighted by enjoying what had been promised. No doubt the Hassler commands continuous 'high roller' demand, but staying relevant to their reputation for anyone not 'tooting their own trumpet' is their challenge and all while the competition wants to deliver so much more. We rated it as average because they 'under delivered' on their own promises and fell short of our expectations
My wife and I spent three nights at the Hassler. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Spanish Steps and the Trinita de Monte church. It was glorious. The staff are without exception friendly and helpful. Location is perfect. This is luxury Italian style! Highly recommended
The Hotel was very nice and the service was extraordinaire! Great location near the Spanish steps and great shopping. We stayed in the Junior Suite and it was very nice. The air conditioning would not go very low so it was too warm in the room.
I like to stay in Hassler Hotel Roma as near from Spanish steps and adjacent to Egyptian Obelisk . Services perfect , restaurants and quality of food is amazing . Around the hotel many jive restaurants and many nice shops for shopping . Recommended for families , solo , business and leisure clients
We treated ourselves to the junior suite, and it was lovely. The level of service was extraordinary. From check-in to turn down, the staff was gracious and professional. Breakfast each morning was an event in itself, with a wide variety of brunch items served in lovely surroundings, of course Prosecco included. High quality toiletries were an added bonus. Of course the location on the Spanish steps is perfect and the views from the restaurant and lounge are lovely. Our suite did not face the Steps, so the view was not amazing, but it was perfectly quiet.
We have visited the hotel during mid May 2019 for six nights . We have reserved two rooms. One was a grand deluxe room and other was a twin room. We were amazed to find out that the grand deluxe one for 1100 euro per night was located on the first floor with NO out side view at all . This room had a balcony that was covered 360 with fabric including the ceiling . More over, I found it amazing that the hotel charges for an omelette at breakfast... 12 euro after we have paid 10,000 euros for our stay... really irritating ! On a positive note, I can say the stuff was kind and tried to resolve the room issue later in the week .
This is a beautiful hotel recommended by our travel agent for the start of our week long trip in Rome/Capri. We checked in, our room was well appointed, clean and modern. We had been traveling for 12+ hours and went out for a quick bite to eat, returned to our room to see there had been turn down service, lovely. The next day, my husband noticed that his small bag had been rifled through. Around $100 worth of euros and USD had been taken - they left a few large bills but took all small denominations. They would have had to really go through the bag to find this. My suitcase also appeared to have been looked through (clothes/items moved around). We brought this to the attention of the manager....they said our only option was to go to the police and they are “unable to review the security tapes” unless we involve the police. We are extremely disappointed by this whole situation and will never be staying at this hotel again. Beautiful property, but be warned.
Hotel Hassler has it all: undoubtedly the best hotel in Rome. The roof top bar, only accessible for the hotel guests, offers the best view over lovely Rome! The service is impeccable and the attentive staff is trying to do its best to fulfil their guests expectations. Great rooms as well!
We hadn't been to the Hassler in twenty years, so my husband and I didn't know what to expect when we visited last month. What an incredible experience! The hotel has been beautifully renovated, but what hasn't changed is the sense of intimacy and amazing service. On this trip we stayed in three other five star hotels in various Italian cities, and all of them paled in comparison. When you stay at the Hassler you feel like family - albeit family that is treated like royalty. A special shout out to the concierge staff who pulled off miracles with charm and finesse and absolutely zero attitude. If you're going to Rome and looking for a luxury hotel with warmth and personality, look no further.
