First trip out of the country and went to Rome over Easter. Chose this hotel due to its close vicinity to attractions. Very well maintained and staff was nice. Elevator was tiny but soon figured out that is the norm there. Very nice place to stay and would recommend.

The hotel is excellent, not because of its comfort but because of fantastic position. Just on walking distance from Vatican, Pantheon, Foro Romano, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia.... Rome is not the town for sleeping, so this hotel is in the heart of Rome's life. Good organised and well kept hotel, breakfast could be better, the room are OK. Next time in Rome I'll stay there again.

Seriously.... I do not understand the high ratings on this dump. There was no ventilation in the room, small, cramped and dark. The breakfast was nice, but horrible crowded location. Really a disappointment. The front desk was so so.. sorry but more photo shop please. Tell the truth. Don't waste your money.

Spent the May Day weekend at the Exe Hotel Della Torre Argentina and found it to be a good option to maximize my time in the eternal city. While the hotel itself and rooms are dated the real plus is the location with easy walking and bus access to many great sites and districts including the centro storico and Trastevere. While situated on the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II my room was facing away from the street and surprisingly quiet. The room was small and the bathroom old and dated with a very noisy extraction fan but I really didn't mind.

Requested change of room on arrival, staff could not have been more helpful.2nd room was still at back of hotel but was a more modern room (301) walk in shower and tea making facilities. We paid £650 for 4 nights room only. Definitely not value for money, however we wanted to stay in the area and for us that was important. Air conditon unit very noisy. TV channels in English intermittent. Plus points were location and staff.

I am just back from Rome and stayed in EXE. It has great location indeed. Staff is very nice and attentive. Rooms are OK. However, this hotel has a great potential to become a true 4 star hotel. It needs renovation of reception area, halls, elevators and rooms. For example, room has huge ceiling but because of some kind of wall vinyl, it seems that ceiling is not high. little TV. weak sound insulation from the hallway or window. No carpet in the room, no slippers, old wardrobe, etc. It has good lobby behind the elevator (which is very small and old) no one enters it and needs major renovation. It has very good terrace place. Once again, this hotel has great potential to become a very good 4 star accommodation.

Best thing was the location, walked everywhere from here. Good room size. Nice and clean with useful amenity kit on arrival. Friendly staff on reception who arranged our taxi back to the airport. Don't miss the amazing church a couple of doors down.

This is a nice hotel in an old elegant building. the rooms were spacious enough and very comfortable but as it is on a very busy road the windows needed to be kept closed. We were looking forward to the views from the advertised roof top terrace so were very disappointed to find it closed.

The location is perfect if you like to walk, you can go to all the attractions and see all Rome walking! The bedroom was also very good and clean, staff was friendly and breakfast was very good! I would say that it's a very good value for money option!

We were 5 guys on a 3 night January stay, so had 3 bedrooms. Maybe January is low season and hotel not fully occupied but all staff were good and all rooms were vey tidy. High ceilinged twin room with adequate furniture etc, and full selection of "extra" from sweeties, disposable toothbrushes and shaving kit, to slippers and trouser press -with tv, safe and mini bar. Good lifts to all floors and comprehensive buffet breakfast. Could maybe be a bit noisy high season as it is on main road but there are rear facing rooms. We could not fault the place....
