The hotel is rather old but practical, decently clean and comfortable if your room does not overlook the main street. It's also good value for money. The location is very strategic for sightseeing. It is a walking distance from most touristic highlights in Rome. There's a bus stop exactly in fornt of the hotel door with bus lines taking you to several central locations. There's a carrefour express only 200m away and a taxi stop nearby, plus plenty of restaurant choices around. The staff are very helpful and supportive especially Wendy and Ahmed. Totally recommended for tourists. Would definitely stay there again. A concierge service would be nice. The wifi connection is rather poor in the inside rooms and keeps disconnecting but it good on the lobby area. It's always good idea to take continental adapters when travelling to Italy as the hotel does not cater all various kinds of plugs.
Very cosy place, it's close to everything, very good service. Breakfast was very good. The rooms have very high ceiling and great ancient look and feel. The bathroom was moder, solid and clean. Internet worked well.
Great location within walking distance of several of Rome's most famous sites. Very helpful front desk and reasonable breakfast. Our group of 14 people stayed in 7 different hotel rooms for a week so we saw a good cross section of the hotel rooms. All rooms were outdated and most were very small. The air conditioning seem inadequate for the summer in half of the rooms. The double rooms with a terrace are both located on the 5th floor. Randomly, both these 5th floor rooms would not have cold water available for either the sink or shower. Extremely hot water would come out sometimes when only the cold water was turned on. This was both dangerous and impossible to take a shower. After 5 days, the hotel admitted it couldn't be repaired.
We stayed in Rome for a family wedding for 6 nights, the Hotel is in a fantastic location across the road from the pedestrian area with lots of restaurants near by. The staff are friendly and the rooms are quite large with nice clean bathrooms. The breakfast is very good both hot and cold offerings, the scrambled eggs were very good considering they were prepared in advance, the only downside is that coffee was from a machine, but it was proper ground beans, I would definitely go back.
I have stayed in this hotel everytime I visit Rome for the last 22 years. It is convenietly located in the historic center walking distance to many of the sites a tourist would like to visit. The staff that has been there as long as I have been going are welcoming and wonderful. Highly recommended!
Having booked this hotel for a 4 night break with my family. I was totally shocked when we turned up. No where does it say it is on one of Rome’s busiest roads with numerous bus stops out side the front door. So fighting through the people to get inside was not a great start. Having gone through a seamlessly pain free check in that changed when we got to the family room we had booked (No 407 we were given). The warning signs should have been there as we had just past towels in the halls from the lift soaking up some form of liquid, but we went on. Upon entering the room the enormity of the problems came to light. The room was not big enough for the 4 beds. It left no floor space and no storage for any clothes for more than a 1 night stay. The walls were padded and dirty, along with the cracked floor tiles in the bathroom, Very sharp and dangerous This room could also do with a clean. The sound of the road was unbearable and we had requested a quiet room Straight away we went to complain at reception but we were told nothing can be done but he would phone the manager. The concerns and issues were just brushed aside. Having been out in Rome for a couple of hours we returned to be told by reception that “we had paid in advance so nothing can be done and no refunds are possible”. This became the receptionists manta no matter what we discussed. He had no authority to deal with the customer. A hour later we found alternative accommodation and I moved my 2 young children across Rome late at night as it was not safe for them to stay there. Even when the agent tried to phone the hotel they stated to them that they were too busy to deal with them as well. Shows the customer care they don’t have. I would not recommend this hotel at all and do not understand how they are still in business.
There is a bus stop right outside the hotel entrance. The breakfast is a bargain at only 9 Euros and the you have to see the location to believe where you are eating. A couple of blocks away are Roman ruins, resturants, shops. Stefano was on the front desk when we were there in Feb of 2019, and he was super helpful ! The rooms are not large, but for the price and location, who cares! We arrived early in the day, and the staff bent over backwards to get a room ready for us.
Hotel is great for getting up and going out. None, I repeat NONE of the pictures of the hotel on Hotels.com or TripAdvisor are accurate of the rooms in real life. The noise from the street is EPIC. As in extremely noisy. There is no concierge at the hotel and the WiFi in the room is poor if anything. Kind of hard to navigate to get in and out of the hotel as 3-4 MAJOR bus lines are literally outside the door. Like literally. A plus is, of the 5 days we stayed, the turn down service was TOP notch. Excellent to the 9.... Also there is no bar in this hotel. I feel if reading this description of the hotel, like 5 things are off. We spent €80 per night. Price is justified.
Nice basic hotel with great location close to Pantheon, Piazza Novona and Compo di Fiore. Rooms are older and small but bathrooms are newer and very nice. Double rooms on 5th floor come with a private terrace overlooking the city - but you have to take steps from 4th floor to 5th floor. Make sure you get the breakfast package - pleasant breakfast buffet each morning. If you are expecting Marriott or 5 star quality, this is not it. That said, it is a great location with very nice front desk staff. Be sure to ask for an upper floor because many rooms face the street.
Interesting, pleasant stay at this hotel in a convenient location in Rome. It is not a modern "Four Seasons" or Hilton", but the facilities and comfortable. We had a penthouse room. Nice complementary breakfast was provided. If you are claustrophobic, avoid the elevators. They are so small, 2 people are all they will take- kinda anxiety provoking. But overall, a good stay.
