We stayed at Clementina – WR Apartments in Rome (Aug 24–29) and were very disappointed. The apartment was in poor condition and did not match what was advertised on Expedia.
The second bathroom was completely unusable—the rain shower had no water pressure, the handle broke off the handheld shower head, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. All four of us had to share the master bathroom toilet and shower, which was also in disrepair, with a broken toilet seat, a moldy shower curtain, and a very noisy exhaust fan.
The bedrooms were uncomfortable: the ceiling fans and A/C rattled so loudly we couldn’t sleep. The furniture was worn and dirty, the walls were scuffed, and the master bed frame was poorly positioned, causing us to repeatedly bump into it and get bruises. In the kitchen, basic supplies were missing, and there was no microwave or espresso maker as listed. At checkout, we were told to dispose of trash in public bins, which was both inappropriate and inconvenient.
Expedia did issue us a $350 refund for the inconveniences, but this property does not meet their standards.
That said, the apartment is in a wonderful neighborhood close to shopping and great restaurants. It’s unfortunate that the landlord has not maintained the unit, as it has the potential to be wonderful.
