This was our first visit to Rome, this hotel is welcoming , modern, airy, and ultra clean. All the staff were friendly and we felt very welcome . This is a small hotel, but the rooms were great, complementary fridge on first night, with juice, soft drinks, etc. The beds were really comfy and all the fitting and furnishings of a high standard, breakfast was plentiful, and all presented well. It's situated in a side street but very near all the beautiful sights of Rome, even though we were advised to take the metro to Vatican City, due to distance, we comfortably walked it, and enjoyed all the sights of Rome as we walked. We have no hesitation in endorsing this hotel, we loved Rome, well fell in love with this wonderful city, and can't wait to come back, and of course stay at Rome Times Hotel
We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The rooms were lovely, very clean and modern. The staff were friendly and professional. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to many of the major attractions, and also close to some excellent restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely book to stay here again.
17th - 20th March 2017. We booked this hotel as part of a city break package and were not disappointed. A very modern boutique style hotel, very clean, brilliant position for visiting all the sites of ancient Rome, very efficient, friendly and helpful staff and a wonderful breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is very fancy, beautiful inside, it has really nice rooms and very clean, very nice decoration and the rooms are very beautiful, the location I can tell you is excellent, the only bad thing is that they don't have a parking lot in case you have your car with you.
The hotel is absolutely ideally situated for all metro and for the walk(s) to the city. The room was spacious and very, very clean. The staff were very friendly and being as it was 2 ladies on a weekend in Rome, the prosecco that we had was fabulous. The whole experience was magical, the breakfast was buffett style but the choice was overwhelming and delicious.
Stayed at this Hotel for 6 nights very recently and cannot recommend it highly enough. From evening Bar staff, to cleaners, breakfast staff and reception, all provided helpful and efficient service. Our room on the 1st floor, although not a large room was more than adequate with all amenities provided and an especially modern bathroom. We were worried about noise from the bar but there were special doors that closed rooms off from this area in the evening. The location is fantastic and so easy to walk to the Colosseum, the Forum and Trevi Fountain to name a few. At the Piazza Republica just a short distance along Via Nazzionale is the Metro to get you to the Spanish Steps, Piazza Del Poppolo and the Vatican City if your legs need a break. Eating is a dream with so many restaurants in the neighborhood to choose from but after we had eaten one night at the Diadema just around the corner on via Palermo, it was hard to go anywhere else. The Ravioli and the Panna Cotta are superb. Special mention to Nicoletta on hotel reception who helped me with flowers for my wife's significant birthday and then with urgent paperwork for printing, scanning and emailing. She was great. As you can tell, we really enjoyed our Rome stay at the Rome Times Hotel. Dean, Perth WA
Booked this hotel through a package with British Airways and seemed like a good deal. The location was perfect when we arrived and was in good walking distance from important sightseeing locations! That and the breakfast were the only positives! (Staff in breakfast area were fantastic!!) We originally had room 105 and seemed okay but it was right at the top of the stairs and we could hear them setting up breakfast and hear the cutlery being placed on the tables- and then throughout the night banging from reception below! We spoke to reception which thankfully changed us to a room on the next floor up 206! On entering the room there was a strong smell of paint but we just put this down to them maybe painting recently and opened the windows. On the third day the safe in our room broke- we think the battery has died so we let reception know, we also mentioned the AWFUL SMELL OF STRONG PAINT in the room all through the night, they sent someone up to look at it and what they could do the guy said that he would return with a new battery as soon as possible, after waiting 45 minutes we decided to just take the valuables with us as we weren't wasting the rest of the day. On our return 4 and a half hours later we saw that the battery hadn't been replaced and the room stunk of paint still, we could air this out through the day with the window but at night it was so noisy we couldn't open the window. I visited reception again to ask about the safe to which they told me they would send someone up. After another hour and 2 visited downstairs to reception someone finally came up to fix it with no apology for the delay. It was so frustrating having to deal with going downstairs to talk to reception, when they clearly didn't want to help with regards to the smell so I gave up trying with them! They still didn't do anything about the smell which was nauseating at night, apparently they had painted a few days ago but we had been there 5 days at this point and that strong a smell shouldn't be there for 5 days! To top it of we found silverfish (small bugs that live near damp) in the bathroom! When I explained this to reception as we left no apology or were even asked how was our stay. Would avoid if you want a decent nights sleep.
Mom/daughter spring break trip for a week in early March. Loved this hotel!! On arrival we were told that we'd been upgraded to a larger room in what I think is the newer updated part of the hotel. Decor in lobby, restaurant and rooms is just gorgeous. Very modern. Hotel is cozy (like everything in Rome - especially the many small and cozy restaurants). Room was small but gorgeous and beds/linen were very comfy. Bathroom was quite fancy. Included a modern bidet which was nice. Amazing and helpful staff -Nadia especially went above and beyond to recommend restaurants and help with sightseeing ideas and book our tours, always wore a friendly smile - she stood out but all the staff were just amazing, friendly and very competent. We ate breakfast at the hotel daily (it was included in our rate). It was delicious, healthy, lots of fresh fruit, great variety of hot dishes and pastries, and the wait staff was amazing - very professional! Hotel is in a great area - central - short walk to Colosseum and other sites. Public transportation is very easy, accessible, close to hotel. Close to lots of fabulous shopping. An overall great experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if return to Rome.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone! We took the bus into Rome from the airport and there was a huge holdup. Tickets for bus from ticket office outside terminal 3...kiosk on left is best. Because of the uncertainty of getting back to airport we took train from Termini, 14 euros per person. You get the tickets from ATAC shop (there was a notice outside saying to go there but there was no sign outside shop. Anyway, the shop is immediately on your right going into the Termini from the taxi-rank side, facing North West. One of the posts said about getting ticket verified ...you don't need to do this just get on the train normally platform 23 or 24 every 20 minutes, it takes about 35 mins have your ticket ready when you get off to swipe through the barrier. By the way only get taxi from official taxi rank..we heard of a few horror stories. You can walk to hotel in about 15 minutes, head for via Nazionale (via Milano on left..hotel 10 metres down on your right) much better than going via via Cavour. Hotel was great ...we were celebrating 50 years married and I asked for flowers in the room and for this to be put on bill. Well we got a complimentary Prosecco..just the ticket after your travels. The breakfast staff are very welcoming and the selection was very good and fresh. One evening we had meal in hotel ...staff again very friendly but the lasagne was not heated all the way through and the PLATES WERE COLD. We visited most places by walking with exception of the Vatican(the queues were huge so glad we got tickets on line from official web site) which was by Metro. We will visit Rome again and stay at this hotel.
My sister and I have just returned from a four night stay in the Times Hotel. It is central for transport links, within several minutes walk of most of the sights of Rome. Several good restaurants or fast food outlets nearby. Breakfasts are excellent, menu for light snacks or light meal not extensive and could be classed as rather expensive but food and service excellent. Would highly recommend it to friends and family.
