Had the key elements you would want when selecting a hotel. Clean rooms, polite staff, good location, easy and close public transportation, local grocery store. The room had the usual items expected (TV, minibar and a safe), hotel would also provide additional items if required such as an ironing board and an iron. They did not provide a power adapter, but sold them. This is something I have seen hotels provide in the past, so could be something to improve on. O bought one from them for 5 euros (found it to be a decent cost). Staff was polite, but my hats go off to Bacar, a lovely gentleman who worked waiting during breakfast. With a very upbeat and cheerful attitude, he would make sure you were having a good experience! The breakfast spread was very decent. A nice waffle making machine, assortment of breads, cheese, cold cuts, fruits, cereals, etc. I cannot speak on the price as the breakfast was part of my rate. The hotel is right next to the Villa Borghese park. But it is at least a 40 minute, a bit over a mile walk to historical places such as the pantheon. However, there is a bus station smack in front of the hotel where you can get on several lines to anywhere you want to go. Using the bus and metro is really easy. There was also a coop supermarket about 1 1/2 block away which came really handy when dining in. I give this 4 stars as it provides the several amenities that are expected. No more, no less. I recommend this hotel to anyone.
The staff is excellent, the price is competitive, the rooms are clean and spacious and the overall experience is excellent. I really enjoyed my time here and found everything to be significantly above average.
Very nice experience in this hotel, excellent. We spent a night in Rome and my mom and me we had a nice night in the hotel the rooms were clean, quiet and the breakfast excellent, the location is perfect and they were always available to help us... thanks excellent
If you are looking for a hotel centrally loacted, this for sure is not the place for you. Transportation is right at the door but it will take a good half hour to get to the main points of attraction. Mary at reception will certaintly help you to get through the city and will be always prompt to clarify with any doubt you may have. Her smile and friendiness helped us to feel more comfortable since arrival. Breakfast is good with all you need to begin an exploring day . We booked a superior room with dinner included which was good for two days, but not worth it if you staying longer as the menu is always the same. Had a good time overall but due to its location, I would look for a place closer to center if I ever come back.
Do not pretend to have the same experience as Waldorf! Staff and service are professional, gentle and respond quickly to your need. I consider price a bit over the benchmark, but this is Rome with most of the hotel fully booked. I received a nice upgrade, complementary wi-fi and breakfast. IF the room was nice and comfortable, the hotel must improve the breakfast as, despite the extremely gentle staff, croissant is not good and not as they used to be: I shared my concern with the staff and they promised to address the issue. Thank u, Stefano
We had three nights booked at this hotel but checked out in a day and went to the other Hilton in town, Aleph Rome Hotel which is very good. Four things had made our stay miserable: When checking in there was no waiter to take our luggage. We had to ask for one before somebody came. Our taxi driver had to get the bags out of the car. When checking in we were not given the internet password and only got this after we called from the room. In the room there was no complimentary water, something that we have got used to in almost all Hilton hotels. The person checking us in our room did not bother to tell us anything about the cooling system. We however noticed that the room was not getting cool. After one hour when I talked to the Manager he said the hotel cooling system had been put off and that he could provide a fan. As a result of lack of ventilation we barely slept during the night with a lot of disturbance coming from tram traffic on the street that the hotel overlooks. The sound was more audible because we left our room balcony door open in order to get some fresh air. Hilton Honors promised to pay me 10,000 points for my bad experience. Munir D.
Hilton Garden Inn Claridge in Rome was great. My husband and I traveled with our 3 adult children and enjoyed the hotel's location near reasonably priced restaurants and the grocery store and bank across the street. When we wanted to travel to Rome's tourist areas, the tram and bus were right near the hotel. The hotel provided a cell phone with local access which we used extensively to walk to different tourist sites; that was a lifesaver. The hotel staff was always accommodating and made reservations for us when requested. As Gold members my husband and I ate a free breakfast every day. The only possible drawback for this site was that there is only one washing machine and dryer and it seemed that there was always someone else doing laundry; however, I was very grateful there WAS laundry available. Stay here to enjoy a great trip to Rome.
Great stay as the room was modern. Good location as the neighborhood is more local but you can still get to the tourist sites a short bus/light rail away, minus all of the tourist crowds. The area is safe. Walkable distance to Villa Borghese - a beautiful park for a nice stroll. There is a grocery story within walking distance.
Very easy to get around Roma using the trolley and bus stops right outside the hotel. No need for a taxi/car. Everyone was very accommodating to English-only speakers. The breakfast was a great way to start a long day of sight-seeing.
I routinely go to this hotel for business and find it perfectly satisfactory. It is not in on of the parts of Rome that are overloaded with cheap tourism, which is good. With a bit of homework, using public transportation (rather than taxi cabs) connects to most attractions in town within a reasonably short time and at a very low price. There are very good restaurants within a few-minute walk. All this is positive, but what deserved a special praise in my most recent stay was the service offered by the hotel restaurant. This was a discovery, since only a very few guests use the inside restaurant and prefer to outside places. I found that the prices are very low (a 3.course dinner for about 25 euros plus wine), the service extremely friendly and the cuisine surprisingly good. I had in particular the noodles with wild mushrooms (tagliatelle con porcini), a deceinvingly simple dish that most cooks are unable to prepare correctly: it was simply perfect, and a half-bottle of Shiraz from Lazio went very well with it.
