After a longer trip from the Ciampino airport, at last we arrived at the Hotel. We were so excited, but very tired a dissapointed about the mobile internet....we got lost a little bit. We had a nice check in, we got a quiet room fortunately. We packed out and decided to have lunch. I was not expected too much, nobody was in the reastaurant, we sat down. After a minute, the bartender/waiter (Martin) welcomed us, and made our day. From the bad, tired start we arrived at one of our best restaurant experience ever. Nice foods, and very friendly service. Today morning I told him, we are going to have dinner. He informed professionally his collegue (Ramil) and we had another perfect day ending dinner! Many thanks for them, and congratulate for the management to keep them here! Nice staff with nice attitude and hilton moments! We are happy to be here, very nice experiences!
Spent a weekend at this hotel, on my first trip to Rome in over 25 years. The location in the middle of a non-tourist neighborhood was great, as it is close enough to walk to the tourist areas. However, the true benefit for this hotel is the staff. Anna and Giulia are fantastic, Quick to answer questions, offer suggestions and provide insight. If it weren't for them, it would have been just an average stay, but they made it outstanding.
We loved staying here. It’s tucked in a great Roman neighborhood with access to local shops and restaurants. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It’s not city center and the cab ride is 20 minutes or so to central Rome. It’s within walking distance of the Borghese Art gallery and park and if you don’t mind walking, about a 30 minute walk through a beautiful park all the way to The Spanish Steps. We will stay here again.
We booked to the north of the city centre deliberately because we were here primarily for the rugby international. Tram and bus stop right outside so access to most places fairly easy. Hotel is clean and staff very helpful. It is a noisy hotel though so pack earplugs. They start cleaning very early, we have heard the vacuum from 7:30 even on a Sunday morning! The rooms are not very soundproof either. But hey, it’s a Hilton Garden so it pretty much does what it’s says.
It was located in a quite place off from the path of Rome. I booked it cause majority of all rooms in Rome started off with a small twin/double bed. I took the queen size room and wasn't charged extra. if you don't mind the bed situation in Rome then go somewhere close to the venues. For me it was all about sleeping good and I didn't mind the 10min taxi drive to all center of Rome. Breakfast was good, when you are in Rome you will eat out in the cafes and all but I ate there about 2-3 times to save time. Service was good and they were always helpful. they didn't question me at all and were always quick to respond to items needed. I would stay closer in town but for the price it was worth it. im from America so having room and space to breathe and sleep is a must. its more of a backpack travel area (Europe) so I see why the small beds.
Arrival experience was not ideal. While registration was done, we can’t help but notice one of a lady staff (Giula)giving us looks. She had murmured something to another lady staff hiding behind the table who eventually stood up from her hiding place to looked at us and we saw the two of them laughing. Whatever the joke is, be it about us or not. It was not professional, and Not a great welcome experience. We felt uncomfortable during arrival and during our stay when we see her, we felt her glances too. Ive also called to asked for assistance as my partner was sick and Giula again was not helpful with zero empathy in our conversation. It’s there an issue, Giula? Do I look funny? Or have u not seen an Asian lady with a Caucasian? Body language, tone of voice plays an important part in the service industry! The location otherwise was pretty convenient. Breakfast: Service was way better with friendly staff. Food spread was good too. Love the waffle machine Room: Size was just right. Balcony seems unsafe. There was a stairway just by the balcony and it seems that anybody could easily climb into the balcony. I had mine locked the whole time. Aircon: Please note that during winter, there’s no aircon in the hotel. Only heater. As a tourist from an Asia country without 4 Seasons, I wouldn’t have known that this is a norm in an international chain and would have appreciated if someone had advised me instead of laughing at me upon arrival. I found out when I woke up in shock from the heat at night. The staff then told me that there was no aircon during winter and I could open my balcony door. The switch I have been controlling was the heater. So it was great news for me as I would prefer to keep my unsafe balcony close in order to have a peaceful sleep. The lift was also too small.
We selected this hotel because of its amenities and ease of access to public transport to all of Rome. Nearby are four very good restaurants and a grocery store so all your near tern needs are easily met. It is also much quieter in the evenings than downtown Rome, which was for us a big plus.
Who stays in a hotel for 14 nights, yes i did, the hotel is so nice and cosy, breakfast is wonderful, the staff are so friendly and helpful. Room is a bit small but was nice and clean. The view from the balcony on the main street is nice, public transportation is just in front of the hotel
On November 4th, 2017, myself, and my husband, has had the opportunity to visit Hilton Garden Inn Rome Claridge. We were exceedingly excited about the experience at large, and being able to be housed by the Hilton for our anniversary trip seemed like a Godsend knowing the reputation of the branch. However, after our stay, we came to learn that the Hilton really did not live up to its name and that in fact, our stay was unsatisfactory. Upon our visit, we noticed that the room grew extremely cold. Growing restless, we decided to phone the front desk from our assigned room. After we explained our dilemma of being cold, they’ve expressed to us that, “The heat [was] not on.” Representatives tried to rectify the situation, and offer us the option to switch to a different room. However, that option was incredulously inconvenient, and a non-factor to myself and my party considering our days' event and how tired we were. Thus, our room remained at that same uncomfortable temperature. It was so cold throughout the night that my husband and I woke up shivering in our bed, and I left the hotel with a cough. I am dearly disappointed with the service, and how I’ve spent my hard-earned money on a room that was inhabitable due to its internal temperature. I am still waiting on Hilton Garden Inn Rome Claridge to rectify the situation and to justify my visit!
First off, the hotel itself is in a great location and is about 45m from FCO airport. Easily accessible via public transit, and even a taxi ride to many of the local sites is only about 12-15 EUR. Not bad, in my opinion. Breakfast is a great spread, starting at 0630. It’s quite filling, and highly recommend starting off your morning with it! Breakfast staff is great. If you want dinner options, lots of great small restaurants nearby. You won’t go hungry. This is a great bonus. A small supermarket is also a block away for those looking to save some money. Room itself is okay. Got a one bedroom suite which left me wanting more. I wasn’t impressed, and would have much rather have gotten two double rooms instead (was traveling with three people). I will keep this in mind for next time. This is the reason for one star deducted. There was only one chair (the sofa was always folded out as a bed for the third person), which also largely contributed to the one star rating. There was room for a few more chairs, which would have been greatly appreciated. Also, in January, the weather in Rome was perfect! Had the windows open in the day but at night, closed them as the temperatures went down to close to 0C. However, this caused the room to be very stuffy. Little ventilation in the room. More on the room: bathroom clean, had shampoo and conditioner, and the room itself was clean. They also provide you with a free mobile phone to take with you (called Monet) which offers 3G browsing and even hotspot capabilities. I thought this was a big plus. It is a small hotel, 7 floors high but about only 5 rooms per floor. Two small lifts but never had to wait for a lift, which is a huge plus. So now, on to the other star that was deducted. The staff, while very helpful, just felt... rude. I’m a Hilton diamond member, and I just kept wondering how I would have been treated had I had no status. This was a bit of a disappointment for me, not enough to keep me from staying at this hotel again because of the other conveniences, but enough for me to deduct a star from the rating. Maybe it was just me, but I felt their attitude could have been a bit better. Overall, a good, clean hotel in a great location, and helpful (albeit a bit rude) staff.
