We stayed at this hotel twice in October 2017. It is located just south of the Borghese park area. It is a very nice area on a main tree-lined street--Via Vittorio Veneto. The first stay was in a suite; second stay a superior room. Both high-floor overlooking the park. Front desk staff is extremely efficient and helpful. The breakfast on the top floor with an excellent view is very nice. The hostess and staff are first class. We would certainly stay in this hotel again. It is not cheap but worth what you pay.
Marriotts are always reliable - first class, comfortable, and a great place to stay in any capital city. This Marriott is well located at the top end of Via Venturi, near an entrance to the Borghese park. Excellent breakfast buffet. The minimum price on the room door is horrifyingly high, but a great place to stay on Marriott Reward points !
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Flora Marriott while in Rome. Our room opened up to the road viewing Harry's Bar where Hemingway was said to hang out. The hotel has a great Sunday brunch on the rooftop terrace restaurant, don't miss it. Also, remember bus 16 and you will always find your way home.
This is a very nice hotel with great rooms that are nicely decorated and good size. We are Gold members so we got free breakfast and Wi-Fi. The breakfast buffet was great with a large choice of food. They even had Prosecco. The buffet is located on the roof with a great view of the city. The hotel provided turn down sevice in the evening. The concierge arranged a Vatican and Colisseum tour for us. The tours were great with very knowledgeable your guides. I only wish that the jacuzzi was available without a cost. To use the jacuzzi it was 120 euros for 1.3 hours which is private use. We stayed in Naples at the Renaissance Naples Mediteraneo and they have a rooftop plunge pool thst anyone can use.
We stayed at the Marriott Grand Flora for two nights before we boarded a cruise of the Mediterranean on Princess Cruises. The location was convenient to all the attractions and had several local restaurants within walking distance. We ate breakfast at hotels roof top restaurant both mornings and the view is spectacular along with the traditional Marriott breakfast buffet. The front desk staff are excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel if in Rome.
The Grand Flora is located a block away from the Borghese Gardens and 3 blocks from the Museum which is a must see. Walk across the street and you are at the metro and around the corner is a taxi stand. Easy to get where you want to go - 15 minutes to Vatican or coliseum by taxi. Staff speaks great English and is very helpful. Nice breakfast buffet on rooftop overlooking Borghese Gardens and an outdoor cafe for people watching and a glass of wine. Safe, quiet neighborhood, not in the middle of tourist traffic. Most importantly, Marriott courtesy and quality
We stayed at this hotel end of June this year for 8 days, for a family trip to Italy, and must say that I think this is the place we will keep going back to. Firstly the Location is great in a great area, right by the Borgese Garden, which is one of best great attractions itself, with lots of activities for the family inside the garden, my 10yr old son loved it. We had the Suite with small balconies overlooking the garden and the city which was much appreciated. The staff is great at this hotel, from doorman to room service, all very nice and attentive. The concierge is very helpful for helping you choose attractions and restaurants, as there are many choices of both being in Rome. It is and older classier hotel, so the rooms/suites might be a bit on the smaller side (keeping in mind you are in Europe and in Rome), but they are sufficient and well-appointed, and very clean, did not find any flaws. One of the best parts is the breakfast area for this hotel which is on the rooftop, with 360degree views of Rome, the choices are good but would frankly prefer if you could order omelettes instead of them preparing ahead of time, but nothing to fuss about. Surely recommend this hotel, and as said will go back. Would like to thank all the hotel staff for making our stay comfortable and memorable.
Well kept, modern property. Only reason that it earned 4 stars, was the small room. On the plus side, the room was well appointed, clean, and modern. Just Tokyo sized. Restaurant on the top floor offers lovely vistas of Rome. May or may not stay here in the future.
Stayed at the hotel for a couple of night for conference. The hotel is fabulous, room was very clean and spoiling with four different kind of pillows. The room was cleaned a few times a day. Breakfast was great with a beautiful view if the city. Wi-Fi worked very well. The minus is that Wi-Fi requires additional payment which is annoying and the room are somewhat small. I was traveling alone so did not bother me much.
We stayed there for three nights . The hotel price was on the high side. We rented a deluxe room. There was not enough room for both of our suitcases and there is really no place to unpack and put your clothes into. That being said. The service was excellent and the breakfast on terrace on the roof is beautiful. The breakfast itself is ok.
