Stayed here for 3 nights to visit the sights of rome , it’s close to the bus station but we used the tube for a few Euro’s a day you can travel anywhere and everywhere so the location is not in the heart of rome but then if you were you’d be paying triple the price . It was a great base and no where took us longer than 35 mins on the tube , we went to the Vatican , colleseum , took a segway way tour and saw everything you want to in one night and even hopped on and off the tube so take in some random places! The hotel , so our room was very basic but having seen the photos before booking wasn’t expecting luxury. It was tiny and just about moved the bed to get around room , we had a problem with a broken toilet that kept just draining and wouldn’t flush from when we got into the room I went to reception but no spare rooms to change was told it would be fixed but not till morning now as it was evening time , the noise of constant draining meant a sleepless night as bathroom so close to bed , I went devotion again next day and was told someone would come up , no one did we went out and again on return I asked for it to be fixed and still no one came . The next day someone had looked at it but as soon as you flushed it - it was broken again! Leaving us to fill up the bin to throw down toilet to clear it which really spoilt my trip there in the end my partner took off the panel and used the pliers ( which were on outside windowsill , so they knew it was a problem) and he fixed it! I will say my partner came home with some red itchy lumps on most of body which we believe to be bed bug bites and I’d seen someone else previously post about them but thought wouldn’t be a problem for us but unfortunately turned out to be! I think the room was 307? Rome was beautiful and stunning sights but wished stayed another hotel .
We were transferred here after an overbooking of the original hotel that I booked in January. ALPHAROOMS did not communicate with us at all, we had literally just paid 30 Euros in a taxi to the lovely hotel I had researched and booked for my partners birthday. On arrival we were informed there was no room for us but they had found us a beautiful hotel just up the road. The hotel was awful, stair carpet up to the rooms was threadbare, the shower did not drain properly, the room we were in had a lock on the outside of the bathroom door! It was as though the door was put on the wrong way around! The sheet had a dried bloodstain on it, the carpet was dirty. I am not usually one for complaining but was so annoyed at the state of this room, I wanted to complain but at the same time I didn't want to ruin my partners birthday. I am more annoyed at Alpha rooms than the actual hotel as that is not what I booked. I would not recommend this hotel or Alpharooms to anybody, I complained to them once we got home which was the end of September but still not heard a thing, Apparantly if you don't complain to be moved there and then there is nothing can be done, as we were only there for 3 nights I did not want to waste the whole of our visit to Rome moving hotels.
Nice hotel but far from city center. Neighborhood was ok felt safe to walk around even at night . Lots of stores and restaurants just a few blocks away but on very busy streets so watch for cars . Metra station about three blocks away and 1.50 euro to go to city center. Hotel had large rooms very clean rooms great bathroom and incredible breakfast!!
Having been transferred to this hotel due to over booking of the original which I had researched and booked in February I felt compelled to write this review . 1st and only positive is that Ricardo ( front desk) was the nicest guy you could meet. And there it ends ! The rooms are very small and in need of a complete revamp. In fact the whole hotel needs a complete face life The carpets were disgusting and very badly stained The bed linen was not changed in the whole 4 days that we were there . All 4 of us have returned with multiple bites from the beds . The breakfast was one of the worst I have ever had abroad in fact we didn't eat anything while we were there. The staff were rude tables were not cleared, we were told to sit anywhere but couldn't find a clean table . The only reason we went to get breakfast was so we could have a coffee as there are no drink making facilities in the rooms. I have no idea how this hotel ever got a 4* rating it is a 2* at best .
The holiday is a 2 star at best. Breakfast was mediocre, the rooms very small. The lift was so small. If you have anxiety issues concerning space, this will be a problem. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The bathrooms were clean and we were provided with fresh towels daily.
This hotel is clean, modern and well presented. Plenty of space for myself and a friend compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Italy. We were lucky enough to have a bath in the room which was a highlight. Breakfast at this hotel was good, and it is very close to the metro which was handy!
The hotel located outside of the city life but with really good transport link. 8 minutes from subway station. The hosts are friendly and smiley. The breakfast is great. We had a junior suite what was nice and clean. The housekeepers are nice. You can find small restaurants in walking distance. And lots of gelato. I would recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for 3 nights in May 2017. It is close to the metro making it easy to get around the city. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Loved that all towels were fresh each day. Room was very small and in need of a re furbish. Breakfast plentiful. All in all a good place for visiting Rome.
I stayed in this hotel first week of May. I visited my mom (who has Alzheimer's disease) who lives in Rome, but I wanted her to stay with me at the hotel so I reserved for 2 people. The front desk guy won't let my mother in because she did not have her passport with her (mind you she is a resident there that's why she doesn't carry her passport around). My brother (who is also an Italian resident ) was trying to explain the situation but the front desk guy even threatened to call the police. I wanted to walk out of there but my booking was non refundable. I just dropped off my baggage in my room ( nobody will help you or point you which way to go) and we went out somewhere while my sister in law got my mom's passport at home. Hotel carpet needs shampooing. Breakfast is good. But won't stay here ever again.
the hotel is only 7 minutes by metro from termini station you need get off cornelia stop. From there is 100 meters away. The place is so nice to stay as there is no noise, feel safe and the staff behaviour is excellent. the breakfast is full american . the rooms is normal size , the furniture is quite new . The cleaner of hotel is excellent.
