Hotel is located in great location with easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, trains, bars and city tour stop. Hotel room is very small and outdated. The WiFi connection is not strong. No water kettle or complimentary water is provided. Beds are not comfortable at all very hard. Worst of all the neighbors across the street keep their windows open and play loud music and party all night long making it difficult to sleep.
I based this reservation on reviews and was appalled, to be perfectly honest. 4 and 5 star reviews??? Rundown. Tiny. Smelly. Old. A/C not working. Dirty. The tiny elevator awaiting us should have been clue number 1 but I chose to see this as quaint. Three of us in the elevator was a joke. Three people. One carry on and a bag. We barely fit. Long and narrow, so much so that you had to shove yourself to the back of the cage (yes, cage) just to have the third person manually close the two doors in order to get the elevator to work. City tax not included in your prepaid amount. (Not a big deal) There were three keys for the establishment. The lady showed us which belonged to which doors. There was a giant hole in the wall in the bathroom covered over with a mass of masking tape??? As you can imagine, masking tape if not wide so when I refer to it as a mass, I mean exactly that. Toilet shoved right up against the wall so it’s not an easy reach for the toilet paper. You have to contortion around. LOL Shower is gross and tiny. The tray they have hanging on the wall in there was literally hanging. Floor was dirty with grime. It looked like it hadn’t been washed in ages. View from the room was of another building that could see right into your room as there were only sheers on the window. WiFi worked fine, which was a plus. Close to the metro but the walk to the hotel was not the greatest. I would have been scared if I was alone. The area smelled of pee and there was garbage everywhere. Would never, ever, stay here again. Did I mention never? Ever?
The hotel is conveniently located close to Roma termini with shops, restaurants and bars around. The room, although small, is clean and comfortable. The owners, Lulu and Andy, are warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend the place to all looking for a nice budget hotel in central location.
everything was perfect. clean, wifi works, the staff is friendly. we spent 4 nights there and we will be back. it is very close to the center. there are a lot of traditional shops around the hotel. termini station is not so far and the diocletian baths are also 10 mins away.
My partner and I stayed here for three nights last week during our weekend break. Staff were excellent and very friendly. They went out of their way and did everything they could to help us during our stay, especially Lulu who gave us advice and recommendations on the best places to eat! The location is excellent with it being only a 5 minute walk to Termini station, meaning all popular sights of Rome are easily accessible. There are really helpful maps in reception too that definitively helped us get around the city. The building is lovely and very characteristic. We loved the big front doors and the old style lift to access the hotel. The rooms are small but just what you need after a full day of sightseeing. The wifi worked really well for us in the room but unfortunately the beds weren't as comfy as they could have been. We had a great stay at this hotel and would stay again when we return to Rome!
This is a very basic hotel ten minutes walk from Termini station. The room and bathroom were basic, but very clean. The staff were very helpful. They were very solicitous about my wife's need to refrigerate her medicine. They made suggestions about our trip to watch Roma play, and patiently answered some cultural questions. We came and went with between one and six people for over two weeks. They were very accommodating. I must say that when walking up via Nazionale I was ready to be at the hotel when we reached piazza della republica - but it was still about ten minutes up. Serviceable restaurants in the area, grocery store, several bars for morning coffee and easy access to public transportation line a and b.
This was our second stay at the hotel. We chose to come back because of the short walk from Termini and trains, and the good restaurants in the neighbourhood. The hosts were truly surprised when we showed up with our reservation made through Tripadvisor, and they claimed that they had never received it. However, they found a room for us. The owner was welcoming, and the room was basic but clean. There was a bit of street noise, but not much. The hotel consists of the fourth and fifth floor in a large building with a small elevator. There is a reception, but no breakfast room. This is a small disadvantage, as there is a large supermarket at Termini 3-4 minutes walk from the hotel, and several really good places to grab a sandwich or pizza right around the corner. I would not hesitate to come back whenever in need of a nice little place to sleep in central Rome.
The hotel is good if you are looking for a cheap place for few nights while visiting Rome. We were sightseeing from the early morning til the late evening so this was just a place to rest after long day. The hotel is sort of clean, it is a bit dated that is why sort of. In fairness for that price in Rome it meets all the expectations. Its proximity to the Termini train station is a huge plus. Oh and the reviews about water pressure are true :)
Although initially hard to find, this was an excellent budget option for staying in Rome. We had a small issue that we couldn't get in to the room with the key provided when we came in late and there were no staff around to help but this was resolved with the assistance of another guest. The accommodation is very basic but perfectly fine for a weekend stay when mostly out of the room visiting local sights.
Stayed 8 nights at this hotel in room 306, the reception personnel was very friendly and receiving no questions or fees when we broke one of the keys in the entrance it was swiftly replaced with a new one and we were back out again. Also locked our keys inside once but they quickly opened and let us in. Got a few recommendations and could probably get a lot more help if we were interested. While the rooms aren't the best they will certainly do. A few negative points about the room however; cleaning was mixed, one day we didn't get any new towels even though they took our old ones. I guess that happens sometimes though. When showering if you aimed the shower head towards the shower wall you would end up with a flooded bathroom and potentially flowing into the room as well depending on shower length. Our double bed was also interesting considering it was 2 different beds.. one rock solid and one really bouncy with springs. Sure you can just push 2 beds together to create the double bed but at least they could be of the same type and comfort. The location was great, there was a mini market on the corner and several restaurants close by. With a short walk of 5-10 minutes you can easily get to Termini where you can take the subway or train to any given destination. Or you can simply keep walking down the shopping lane or any other nearby place.
