Though the place is near to the Railway Station, the rooms are smaller in size. The rooms which are towards the inner side are pathetic with view of close by apartments and filth visible. You cannot even open your curtains.
Stayed with a relative for three nights at the hotel. Very warm welcome despite being very early. Tea and cakes on arrival. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable with large Tv and modern bathroom with powerful shower. The location of the hotel is within easy walking distance of Terminii station, Colleseum, Forum, Palatine Hill and many others. Metro a few hundred yards away. Very easy to navigate in Rome to see all sights. Breakfast was plentiful and there was food type for all nationalities. Again staff covert pleasant and helpful. As we had a late flight home the hotel secured our luggage until required. A very pleasant stay and many thanks to all at the hotel for making it so. Thanks, Keith
Stayed at the Hotel Morgana in September with my wife for 4 nights. This was our first visit to Rome and after arriving at Ciampino Airport jumped on one of the airport buses which take you direct to Termini Station which is the main train / bus station in the City. The journey took about 40 minutes and cost 4.90 Euros. The Hotel was less than a 5 minute walk from the Station. On arrival the reception staff were very polite and courteous. The only hold up was the fact they have to do paperwork for the Police to register entry into the country. Our room was very clean with satellite tv and mini bar. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but these could be requested if required. The room and bed was tidied each day and clean towels provided. Breakfast was a buffet style and catered for all tastes. Again the staff were polite and helpful and the food tasted good. The Hotel was in an excellent location for transport to the various attractions in the City, but be aware of men selling their wares such as selfie sticks, hats etc. As long as you said "No" they would generally leave you alone but there was another one waiting up the road. Overall the Hotel and location was ideal for our stay in a beautiful City which is well worth a visit. I would recommend this Hotel.
We stayed five nights at this hotel. It is very close to Termini station and Metro station so very convenient. Lots of eating places close to the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was big and clean. Breakfast was included in the room rate - there was wide variety of options. Would definitely recommend.
Here is my personal opinion: - the hotel is nice, large rooms, - about 3-5 minutes from the Termini station. Because we arrived by train from the Fiumicino airport this was a major plus. - 15-30 minutes walking distance from most of the main city attractions. - Due to the fact that it's so close to the station, the surroundings are not so great: a lot of shops that sell things made in China (low quality). - the breakfast is good served by 10:30 AM. - Although it looked renovated, there was an "old like" smell that we sensed in the room. - the windows were not so sound proof so we were hearing the noise from down the street. - the personell was lovely and very helpful. - our room had a green, very luxurious wallpaper and that gave me the impression of a tight room. Maybe some classic white would help and maintaining the wallpapers only on some walls. Overall me and my family enjoyed our stay there.
Absolutely enjoyed this hotel during a three night stay at the beginning September. It was right around the corner from the Termini Station but also within walking distance of many tourist locations. We were placed in a room in the annex building which is a couple of buildings up from the main building. We didn't really find it to be much of inconvenience. I believe we were in room 154. The room was quite lovely, it faced the main street but apart from the crazy thunderstorm one night we didn't hear much city noise which was nice. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was also a very nice the only issue was that the tub didn't drain very well when showering and the glass door didn't extend very far so it was very easy to get water all over the bathroom floor. The staff was amazing. Alex, the bellman who assisted us with check in, was very friendly as he walked us over to the annex building and was helpful in providing us with an iron and ironing board that didn't come standard in the room. The complimentary breakfast at this hotel was actually quite amazing, a very large selection and they even make cappuccino at your request. Everyone we encountered was very helpful and we would definitely book here again based on how amazing the staff was. Oh! Also complimentary water bottles! The room comes with two bottles in the fridge already but I lost count of how many bottles I actually received. We were all over Italy for two weeks and everywhere, from restaurants to hotels, charges upwards of 3 euro for a bottle of water. Being from California it's so easy to expect a free glass of water with dinner, but that does not seem the case in Italy. So the complimentary bottles at Hotel Morgana was a very nice touch.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend at the end of August. We had a deluxe double room, which was very neat, clean and had everything we needed, the only downside was it being slightly small. However, for what we needed it was more than enough space. Towels and bedding were replaced each day, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was modern, clean and fresh with a good powerful shower. There were soaps, shower gels, shampoo and shower caps which were great for us as we travelled with just cabin luggage. There was a free real fast each morning, which served hot foods like bacon, sausages, hash browns, eggs and toast, but also fresh foods like ham, salads, fruit etc, as well as cereal. The location of the hotel was great, it was 20 min walk to the colosseum, with very good restaurants dotted every where! The Vatican was a hour and a bit slow walk away, which we found best to do in the morning so we could stop and have lunch while the sun was at its hottest. Other hot spots such as Trevi Foundations, Piazza de Spagna and the Pantheon are close by.
We have just returned from 3 nights staying at Hotel Morgana. We arrived early but were given a complimentary drink and cake and the key was available shortly afterwards. The staff speak excellent English and were very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was included which we assumed would be continental as there is no Restaurant at the Hotel. The breakfast was delicious. Fruit, cereal, home baked pastry savouries, ham, cheese, eggs, bacon - absolutely anything. Would definitely stay there next time we are in Rome.
We stayed at the Hotel Morgana from Sunday to Friday and have been looked after very well throughout! We stayed in room 206 which was plenty large enough and the decor looked very recent, stylishly modern and still tidy. The en-suite bathroom was also modern and classy and very clean with a great selection of toiletries. My only criticism of the room was that the shower had no shelf or hook to place toiletries and with it being just the standard square cubicle it made it very awkward to pick up bottles from the floor. Also the placing of the bidet blocked the side entrance to the shower making it an awkward turn to get in and out. The rest of the hotels public areas were stylish and very clean with complimentary coffee and croissants in the afternoons. The breakfast choice was vast! Beautifully laid out with all kinds of cold meat/cheese choices and any number of flavour croissants, pain au chocolate, doughnuts and cakes as well as various breads for toasting with jams, marmalades and honey. Cereals including granola and an assortment of plain and fruit yoghurts and a good selection of ripe, unbruised, fresh fruit was laid out too! All this AND bacon and scrambled egg too! The staff in the breakfast room were very attentive and spoke excellent English! They were always on hand to bring whichever coffee or tea you wanted! My husband and I both had birthdays this week and on each day we were given a mini bottle of Prosecco and brought a special piece of the most delicious chocolate and orange brownie style cake with a candle alight on the top! Thank you all for your care and attention this week, we recommend your hotel and would happily stay again :)
Lovely hotel in a fantastic location - impossible to get lost (almost). We were greeted by very friendly staff and given a free upgrade to a master room (woohoo). The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. One snag - the TV was possessed and did its own thing but who cares - we were in Rome! Breakfast was perfect. For what we paid - first class stay!
