Very good hotel well located to cover the city on foot and with public transport. Attentive and friendly staff. The hotel is very nice, decoration in all the establishment, the rooms are very quiet. Good breakfast.
I like this location because you can walk to several historical spots and restaurants, and just a few minutes walk to the Termini. They also have a private driver that will take you to the airport for 50 euro. The breakfast is amazing and they even had a boxed breakfast for us when we were driven to the airport at 4:00AM. The staff will do everything to make your stay first class.
The hotel was located in a about 4 minute walk from the Rome Termini where you can simply take a bus or metro to places that you want. The rooms were average, but the breakfast was good. The hotel is in a busy area so you may experience some noise from the street. The greatest thing about this hotel was the front desk. They were all very helpful, attentive, and responsive to our needs.
Great staff, great breakfast and a lovely room. Only criticism is that we got an "upgrade" which meant we were diverted from the main hotel and had to stay in another building down the road which was actually a block of residential flats in which they had converted half of a floor to a rooms for the hotel. Not keen and getting in and out of there was a nightmare because you had to go through a security gate and huge wooden door which I could barely open myself. Aside from that the breakfast was of a very good standard, the staff were incredible and location was good - we were able to walk everywhere (apart to the vatican!) I would stay again, but I would request a room in the main part of the building.
I don’t normally write such scathing reviews but I’m absolutely appalled at how I’ve been treated here & also shocked at the fact there is NO heating in November. I’ve been here 3 days & the room has been freezing the whole time no matter how high we put the heating. Today it was worse & has rained most of the day so we were drenched. We returned to the hotel & I called reception to ask how we could turn the heating up. The gentleman on reception whom I believe is called Tedor on informed me that the heating has been broken for TWO weeks. This is a 4 star hotel it’s completely unacceptable to allow heating to be broken for so long in winter. The man then called back to offer us a room with heating in a separate building a few minutes away, also completely changing his prior story to one where the hotel apparently must request permission from the authorities for an extra heating generator? How ridiculously absurd. I declined to change rooms as we are leaving early in the morning & need to pack. However, whilst packing I’ve realised a pair of shoes have gone amiss. I’ve looked EVERYWHERE several times over. I called reception to discuss the disappearance only to be answered by Tedor with a very blunt ‘what do you want me to do about it’. He then asked me if I’m insinuating that someone came in my room & took them. How else were they supposed to disappear? The room is cleaned every day whilst we are out. It’s perfectly feasible for things to be stolen or go missing. What is not feasible is this employee’s shockingly poor response & subsequent efforts to resolve the situation. He said there is nothing he can do & will let his manager know tomorrow so they can look for the shoes? He also implied I’ve not looked hard enough. Considering the room is of box sized proportions there aren’t many places to look. I’ve looked absolutely EVERYWHERE so they’ve definitely been taken. I accept such things can happen in hotels but it’s the way issues are dealt with which make such a difference. After working in customer service roles for many years I absolutely cannot accept lazy & nonchalant people in customer facing roles. Especially ones who change their story within minutes. I booked this city break through British Airways & shall also be complaining to them about my experience at this hotel. It is such a shame as everything else was lovely & this experience has now spoilt another wise great mini break. Please do make sure you lock away anything of value if you plan to visit this hotel as judging by this man’s response I doubt much will be done about the shoes, especially since we leave early :-(
Stayed here 1 night since we needed to be next to the train station - it is 1 block from Rome Termini. While I️ wouldn’t stay in this area to sightsee Rome, it’s ideal for a 1 night transit stop. The buses to/from FCO airport are very close by as well. The rooms are quite small, the staff is nice, and they do hold luggage overnight if requested. The breakfast buffet is nice as well. I️ would stay here again if need be!
My daughter and I stayed her for a 3 night city break. We were very impressed by the rooms, the staff, the decor and the most wonderful breakfast each morning. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. Highly recommended.
Comfortable hotel in excellent location, especially if arriving by train. Reception staff were extremely helpful - all questions answered before they were asked ! Nice breakfast, and very impressed with the airport taxi which the hotel arranged. Fast, smart and cheaper for four people than the train.
The staff was always very helpful and accommodating, no matter what the issue was. Excellent location and selection of rooms. Buffet breakfast, which was included in the cost of the room, was a great way to start each day.
for 4 nights 5 days at a cost of €480 including breakfast and we booked direct with the hotel after shopping around. This was my first stay in the hotel, however my wife daughters stayed there last summer. The hotel is located close to the Termini station, the station area is not the most appealing to the eye, but it is the central hub for moving around Rome. We had an early flight from the UK and arrived at the hotel at 1200, our room was ready despite saying 1400 on the booking. The reception staff were extremely polite, welcoming and offered us a coffee whilst completing the paperwork. We were given our room keys together with a map of the main attractions, a free drinks voucher for the bar and local advice on restaurants etc. Our cases were already in our room which was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our room was equipped with air con, jacuzzi, sky tv and mini bar if required. Rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels are left. Breakfast consists of bacon, eggs, fruit, meats, pastry, tea and coffee etc. The staff are welcoming, attentive, polite, spoke amazing English and by the time we had sat down our coffee was waiting. The food was very nice, but if you are English and you like toast, the bread has to go through the toaster 3 times!! The reception is open 24 hours, all of the hotel staff speak superb English. Checkout time is 1130, so if you have a late flight going home they will store your luggage in a secure storage area. Tea and coffee is available in the reception area all day. The hotel is in a perfect location for travelling around Rome with its accessibility to the metro system and we would highly recommend the Morgana for a fantastic base. There is an array of restaurants around the hotel, but they recommend Cecio’s around the corner. We would suggest you take their advice. Daz & Kez Paine, Brighton, England.
