We stayed here for 4 nights as a city break in Feb half term. The room was cosy & clean. Each day coming back to the room, we were wowed by the cleaners making it feel like the first day we arrived. My boyfriend was also impressed by Italian sky sports in the room whilst I was getting ready. The staff on the whole, were 5 star standard. All the male staff were incredibly helpful, polite & friendly. For breakfast we were greeted with the most cheerful “good morning, how are you?”, the staff ensured everyone had as many hot drinks as they could ever desire. The hot food was lovely; crispy bacon, scrambled egg, toast, hot dog sausages/proper meaty little sausages (on alternate days), also the pastries were a big hit! The hotel itself was in a great location, walking distance from everything. We walked to the bus station & caught the 910 bus to Stadio Olimpico to watch Roma play on the Sunday evening. Pickpocketing is an issue on busses & on the street closer to termini station, but if you’re aware you will be fine. There are tons of hotels in Rome & around termini, they all look fab on the entrance, but based on cleanliness, breakfast, staff & location; I would stay here again if I returned to Rome. Thank you Morgana!
Just got back from a lovely trip the hotel is located near to the Termini station and metro. From reception to cleaning staff excellent very friendly and keen to help. Breakfast had a lot of choice and the Cappuccino was excellent.rooms very clean. Thank you Hotel Morgana for making my stay special 😊
From reception to breakfast , excellent customer service and very clean and tidy rooms, the hotel excelled itself . Very helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone who's interested in a 4 star hotel with 5 star service
Just returned from a 3 night break at the Morgana. It really is in the best location, a short walk from the Terminii Station, so really great for departures and arrivals. Also close to the Metro if you want to get to the locations very quickly. We stayed in an executive room, my daughter and I had twin beds, they were comfortable and we slept well. The room was quiet, facing onto the courtyard. I think these rooms have been recently updated, all the facilities felt very modern, lovely waterfall shower in the bathroom. The Breakfast has plenty of choice, I don’t do cooked breakfasts but they also had cereals and a variety of pastries and various continental selections too. The coffee was serve yourself, or they would make a cappuccino or a hot choc if you wanted. Outside were a large variety of restaurants and a few touristy shops. We went out every evening and felt very safe walking around there, there are some people hanging around but it’s a big city so I would expect that, to be honest both of us felt safe all over Rome. I had read some negatives about the area on here but have to say I couldn’t agree with them. We walked to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps on our first day, about half hour gentle walking time to reach the fountain, maybe less if we had sped up, but not far. The next day we walked to the Colosseum, about 15/20 mins. The tickets included the forum and Palentine Hill, we booked online direct with the colosseum website €14 each, amazing value, the tickets could be used again the next day too! Next day we took the metro down to the Vatican, again I’d booked online so no queuing, we booked the audio tour, this meant we could go at our own pace. And afterwards we had time to visit St Peter’s Basillica, it was about 5pm by then and there was no queue to get in, it’s free to enter, I think €6 to climb the dome. Anyway it was an amazing holiday, lovely to come back each evening to the Morgana, all the staff were friendly and helpful, we hopefully will return soon, because there’s so much more left to see!
Nice room and immaculately clean at all times. Best bed for years. Lots of soaps etc. Would definitely stay again but would need a room not facing the road as impossible to sleep. Upgrade double glazing? To be fair they did say we could have moved had we complained. Breakfast cold 3 mornings.
Excellent location and very helpful staff. The rooms were lovely, we asked for a bigger room upgrade as we were staying for a week which they gave us the next morning without charge. Just told us to pack up our suitcase, leave it in the room, go out for the day and when you come back you will have a new room, and that is exactly what happened. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Would highly recommend this hotel. And the BA flight attendants were also really helpful.
An easy walk from the station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good full breakfast menu. Lots of restaurant choices close by. All areas in the hotel were clean and well maintained but the lift are tiny - if you don't like lifts ask for a room on a lower floor.
This hotel will always be my go to hotel in Italy. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. Everything is close by this hotel but I wish they get some warm duet's as its always cold at night be it in summers or winter. I would appreciate a duet. Other then this wonderful hotel. Love it!
We found this hotel clean but average. Staff were very friendly and professional however the noise from the street throughout the entire night I’m just glad we only did 3 nights. There were numerous rubbish bin and glass bins collected every night starting from 3.30am, constant road and people noise from the street. This hotel must consider sound proofing their windows as my husband and I and our friends who also had a room on the front had no sleep at all. It’s a shame because it’s a good basic hotel otherwise.
So i booked this hotel as part of a package deal on british airways. This was for a birthday trip for my best friend, at the end of January 2018. We arrived on a Friday evening and were greeted by friendly faces at reception. I was asked to sign a few forms and to hand over a payment card plus both my passport and my friends passport and we were asked to wait in the lounge while the formalities were dealt with. This took about 5-10 minutes and we were given our room keys along with a map of Rome. The room was a lovely surprise! There was a double bed, TV, a mini fridge, a wardrobe with a safe and the nicest en suite bathroom! The room had a very vintage feel to it and was decorated with beautiful paintings which really gave a feel for the history of Rome. The bathroom was fully stocked with shampoo, shower gel, shower caps and soap - there was a toilet, a shower, a spacious sink with a beautiful mirror and a bidet! We were so happy with the room because it really made the trip all the more better. Our room was cleaned each day with new sheets and covers plus the bathroom was also cleaned and stocked up with fresh towels. Whilst making the booking i opted to include breakfast, which i was very glad to have done! There was a lovely breakfast buffet with hot and cold breakfast options including pastries and fresh fruit and tea/coffee. My favourite was the fresh orange and pineapple juices that they had each morning and the best hot drinks! Very happy with the breakfast. I have to say our experience was made all the more better because of the lovely members of staff. The people that worked there deserve all the credit for running the hotel so smoothly and always with a smile! As for the location, before we went there we had heard all sorts about the location! Mostly bad! I was told that the Termini area was very dangerous with many homeless people etc. However, from first hand experience i can tell you it wasn't dangerous at all! We enjoyed exploring Rome during the evening and at night too. Termini is a very busy area (much like Kings Cross in London) and there are many street vendors trying to sell you things and the occasional drunk person. We were approached by unwanted people but we just ignored them and kept walking on, and they left us alone. Most of them were harmless and just trying to sell us souvenirs. Termini area is a great central location on which to base your trip. It is the main hub for traveling around Rome. Morgana hotel was literally 3 minutes away from Termini which was ideal for us. On the last day of our trip, our flight was in the evening so we decided to leave our luggage at the hotel while we explored around Rome. They labelled our luggage and stored it in a locked room. We came back a couple of hours later and took our luggage back. This was a really nice touch as it meant we didn't have to lug around our suitcases! The only issue i had was, when the shower was used it did have a little bit of a sewage smell which resolved itself. Also, the air con worked great when the heat setting was only, however, the cold setting either did not work or didn't get cool enough, because it still gave out heat even on the cold setting. Overall, i was really happy with my stay at Morgana Hotel, thank you to the staff for making it a lovely experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would love to come back again!
