GREAT location - close to everything!!
The Jewish ghetto is a GREAT place to stay! Restaurants/convenience stores - around the corner. Trastevere (awesome food/nightlife) - 5min walk. ALL the major sights - 10-15min walk. The apartment has space for 3-4 people to spread out. Yes, there are lots of steps from ground floor to get up to the apartment, but it wasn't a problem. Would stay there again when back in Rome!

Great location!
This was a very cool loft in the heart of Rome. 15 minute or less walk to several of the key attractions like the Trevi fountain and Spanish stairs. A little longer to the Collesium and Vatican but still walkable. There is a great neighborhood less than 10 minutes away that has many terrific restaurants and bars.
The loft is up a few flights stairs but our host Guido was great and even helped carry our bags up the stairs.

A very central location in a very historic building
We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was comfortable and in in very convenient location just a few meters from the Roma Ghetto. The AC was nice given that it was 105 degrees in Rome. There are quite a few steps (about 70) to get to the apartment, so it would not be a good choice for the mobility impaired. We did not mind the steps as they helped burn off the pasta!

Roman getaway
Paolo was a gracious host and met us with friendly candor. He was wonderful in giving us the incredible history of the building as well as a visual of what is around the apartment in all directions. He made himself available by phone for any questions that came up and was great about recommending places to visit. It was like stepping back in time staying here... it is a part of history, centrally located to all famous attractions, but modernized beautifully to feel completely comfortable. We found ourselves wanting to spend time in this amazing place and miss it now that we are back home.

Perfect Home Base
Walking distance to all the sites we wanted to see. (Trevi, Colosseum, Campio Di Forio, Pantheon, Piazza Narvona etc..) Great coffee shop with amazing pastries right outside the door. Nearby restaurants were great, not touristy. Unit located just on the edge of the Jewish Ghetto.
Others have stated, but worth repeating..there are a lot of stairs to get to this apartment. Slow process if you have a lot of luggage for longer stays. Micaela met us for the check in, she was prompt, so helpful and nice. A few minor details(most are quick fixes): We only used the lower level bedroom, but did go look at the loft bedroom. Note -you do have to hunch over a bit up there and it requires you step over a beam to get in and out of the bed. The lower level bedroom is a step down to a metal grate. We just laid a towel on the grate to make it comfortable for bare feet at night. TV did not work during our stay, but we were not really there to watch TV. Many of the light bulbs were burned out so evening lighting was a bit difficult. Batteries in clocks were all dead, but we used our cell phones anyway. (we were only there a few nights, so no big deal, we let Micaela know at check out.) Bath and Kitchen amenities were just right. Plenty of towels, coffee cups etc.. Living room furniture is a bit worn and stained. Bed and bedding was fine.
Having said all this, we would definitely stay here again. Paolo was very easy and responsive to all communications. Arrivederci

Great apartment within walking distance to so many sites in Rome!
This is a GREAT apartment in the Jewish Ghetto. A wonderful, safe place to stay and within walking distance to most sites in Rome! There is a lot of stairs to get to the apartment which was only hard when we were carrying up all our luggage. The A/C works great if you are there when it’s hot! The upstairs loft doesn’t get as cool so throw the kids up there if you’re coming with children. Overall a great experience for our family of 4!

Very pleased with this historic flat
I really enjoyed staying in this renovated apartment. It is right next to the Jewish ghetto, and within walking distance to almost everything that you would want to see in Rome. I would definitely stay here again. Keep in mind, that if you do not like stairs, this is not the apartment for you. This unit is on the top floor of the building, and once inside you have to climb more stairs to get to the loft. We did not really use the kitchen, so I don’t have much to say about that. We also did not use the television set. The main reason that I gave this unit four stars instead of five was because the air conditioning in the loft is in a place that makes it difficult to cool the person that is sleeping in the loft. My business associate that slept upstairs felt hot most nights. However, the air conditioning in the bedroom was great. Considering the price that we paid, I feel like this apartment was a great value. In addition, I liked staying in such an historic building. The owner and his son were extremely accommodating and communication was prompt. I hope you give this apartment serious consideration when planning your trip to Rome. Cheers!

Location location LOCATION!!!
Such a well-kept comfortable apartment. It was a very convenient location for the places we needed to go and what we wanted to see. Those deciding to choose this amazing apartment need to understand there is no lift/elevator and apt is up four (?) flights of stairs. Also suggested, we used a folded beach towel on the iron-grate step down into the bedroom. The apt is WONDERFUL ... in the opinion of four women adventuring in the beautiful city! ❤️🇮🇪

Great property but needs maintenance
When we first arrived we absolutely ioved this place. The location is fantastic and the design of the apartment is creative and pleasing. However, a couple of problems began to bother us more and more and unfortunately, because we were only there 2 nights, none of them were repaired during our time there. Neither the TV or loft AC worked. The main bedroom AC worked but was so noisy we woke up periodically through the night when it went into a particularly noisy mode. And the shower sprayed cold water all over anyone in the shower waiting patiently for the water to very slowly warm up (the apartment is in the top floor of an old castle and I assume the water heater is somewhere far below this level) as the connection between the hand shower and overhead shower was so loose we had to keep tightening it to get enough water to the shower head to shower. Had everything been working, I would have rated the property 5 stars. As it was, 4 stars is generous (3.5 would be more accurate) and I wouldn't return unless I was assured that things were being better maintained that they have been in the recent past.

Lofty location :-)
Well located loft in Rome. We really enjoyed the accommodations and the location. Yes, you need to be careful not to bump your head! Minor improvements could be made to the shower, rug that is curling up (so you don't trip!) and to the cleanliness of the yellow chair and ottoman. And please note, that you have many flights of stairs to carry up your luggage!

Was expecting better and bigger
I wouldn't recommend this place to tall people. I don't know how many times we hit out heads on the ceiling in the loft. You need to put the actual addrsss on here so people can find it as that was very stressful!.., The air conditioner didn't cool the place down. maybe fix the shower head? And toilet seat, oh and also maybe clean the walls next time and pillow cases as they were dirty. And also supply some dish soap or dish washer soup. It's a good place for maybe 1 person maybe 2.

Beautiful Space, Wonderfully Located
Had a great time at the Paolo's loft- My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights on a brief excursion to Rome and ended up walking everywhere. If you plan out your days well you won't likely need to hail a cab except to and from the airport, and being a 5-10 minute walk to the Pantheon you could always find a cab nearby if needed (probably even closer).
The loft itself is in a beautiful 15th century building up four flights of stairs and on the top floor. Very quiet- we only heard the occasional seagulls during the day. The loft has an open bedroom on it's second floor and a private bedroom on the first - I can only comment on the first floor room but it had a very comfortable bed. Wifi was fast and reliable as well.
I'd also like to point out Paolo was very patient with us after our bag was lost by handlers at the airport for over an hour and we were quite late to pick up the keys and be late in.
Only complaint about the loft would be the shower- not quite sure it was installed correctly. As only the lower hand-help shower head seemed to work it was too loose (broken?) to stay in any fixed position unless pointed at your chest. Other than that it was a wonderful stay!

Great looking apartment in an Amazing location
This apartment looks great and is situated in a great location in Rome. The apartment has been kept up and recently renovated as per what the add states, we were very happy with it. The four flights of stairs to the apartment can be a little daunting after a long day of walking but was not a problem. The door into the apartment can be a little tricky but got it figured out after a phone call to the Paolo.
I can't say enough about the location, this helped make our trip to Rome amazing. The shops and restaurants in the area are great. We walked to all the major sites and there is transit just down on the Main Street.
Be sure to ask about the late check in fee, found out after booking there was a late checkin fee, but was the only minor issue we had.

In diesem Zustand fehlen wenigstens warme Oberbetten.

Top-Lage

Delizioso loft in palazzo d'epoca
