We were a large family group and spent there a couple of days across Christmas. The structure/building is beautiful, characteristic, with period features well preserved. Overall well maintained. The landscaping is well maintained, perfect. Great views. Rooms spacious enough are clean in general. Some of them are fairly basic in terms of furniture and bathrooms. Social areas (indoor and terraces) are nice, well furnished and cozy. Plenty of comfortable space to meet and chat with family and other guests. The spa is good and well organized. The staff is very professional. Massages were good. The pool under the porch is simply fantastic even when the outside temperature is quite cold. The pool on top of the hill is fine as well. The staff is very friendly and professional. At reception, bar, restaurant, Spa. Food was good. Set menus were good in general for the price charged. We dined on the 24th and 25th and found the 25th better. On the 24th we struggled a bit with the availability of wine. No problem at all on the 25th. Breakfast was good with good selection of food and drinks. Overall, we spend a great and relaxing Christmas. Recommended.
Beautiful hotel in a lovely quiet location. Free car parking. Big swimming pool, too cold to try. Very nice bedroom with hard but comfortable bed. Shower good. Good restaurant with experienced staff. Breakfast very nicely laid out with a halloween theme. Good selection to choose from. Overall very good value. Unfortunately there was was an unpleasant smell of gas (like methane) throughout the hotel, it was present all the time, we think we may have noticed it before we arrived at the hotel, so likely something in the area.
We stayed here for one night in late May of 2017. It was a very pleasant surprise. The place looks more like a Swiss hotel than an Italian one. Beautiful (and huge) rambling property with thermal pools and a spa, both included in the cost. Also included was a good quality breakfast, complete with excellent cappuccino. The room itself was small and the air conditioning never did work but it cooled down enough at night that we didn't experience any discomfort. The value for money was outstanding. Highly recommended.
We stayed in this hotel whilst travelling around the area north of Rome , fabulous location & a lot bigger than i expected . Very friendly & helpful staff & we stayed for 5 nights . A bit away from everything but only a 15 min drive from Lago di Bracciano . The Spa & Pool at the hotel are great and the terme pools on the hills surrounding the hotel are super! A lovely place to walk around and enjoy the views . We had dinner here most nights & the restaurant was excellent ...they even changed the menu whilst we were there.
They call this Grand Hotel, but unfortunately it isn't. The downstairs reception rooms and dining room are very nice, but our bedroom was very small, the bathroom even smaller. It was very peculiarly furnished with an odd mix of tables, desk etc - but there was nowhere to put anything. There was one collapsible luggage rack, but if you put your case on it you could not open the window or shutters without moving the case again. Part of the shower fitting fell off and the inside door handle came off making it rather tricky to leave the room. This was repaired quite quickly. The pools etc look very nice, but we did not have time to use them. Dinner and breakfast were good, but not exceptional.
Nice hotel in a peacefull location; the therm smells and feels natural, the spa is well organized although the facilities are a bit too smal -given the number of visitors!-.. Rooms are clean and spacious, the only big problem for us was the invasion by flies! we had to spend a lot of time chasing them out of the room...
I visited Stigliano with a group of 12 and nothing about our stay could have been better. The accommodations were spacious and immaculate with views of the surrounding gardens, the staff was without exception warm, welcoming, and eager to help with any request. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The spa and baths were healing and give this property an element of nurturing self-care we all need.
I had the privilege to Stay at the Terme Stigliano for a 10 day professional development retreat. The staff was so kind and attentive and the food was AMAZING! The hotel was very clean and organized and the HEALING water was just that!!! The grounds were lush and gorgeous...I cannot wait to visit heaven on earth again! I highly recommend!
Pros: helpful staff, beautiful hotel, wide selection of spa treatments. Cons: Very bad breakfast for international standards. Ok only for italians, if you like sweet stuff. Not even eggs are included, and not much else to choose if you want salty things. Some mold spots and other details in hotel that clearly need a renovation. The Wi-fi also needs improvement (no connection from upper floors generally).
I booked a room and spa package for my wife and I as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The location is relaxing and the hotel very clean and characteristic. The evening meal was included and was delicious. We ate outside The stand out dish was the antipasti with truffle. The spa and pool area was really relaxing and we had massages included in our package which was a real treat. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fantastic hotel and thank you to all of the staff.
