The staff person was nice, but the lobby area was a total mess with boxes, papers, food for sale scattered all around. From what we could see the hotel is not well kept. Very unpleasant surroundings!

The property was a mess. The room was dingy and smelled like rubbing alcohol. The office was a disheveled disaster. The pictures online and no way reflected the property or the rooms.

Needs work

I’d like to start if by saying that the rooms don’t have a do not disturb placard you can put outside your room. Last Saturday I was in my room and housekeeping came. She opens the door and saw me and I told her I don’t need service. 2 hours later, someone else comes, opens the door, sees me and says “oh sorry”. A few more hours go by and two guys from management come knocking at my door and say that I need to pay $20 because I was in my room from 11-3. They said that’s not our rule, thats the rule from the website you used to book your room. I’ve never heard of that before. They also said if I book through a third party I need to check in with the front desk everyday or else they won’t know that someone is in that room. I had booked a week and checkout was Monday at 11. Sunday my card stopped working and I went in to the front desk and they said that they could see my itinerary number, but their system said that my checkout was Saturday even though I had a receipt saying I paid for Sunday and my app says checkout Monday. They insisted that I need to book through them and pay again to continue staying there. Last night, some guy was knocking at my door at 7PM. I ignored it, because it was dark outside… He uses a key card to open my door. I ask, can I help you? He said yeah, you need to go to the front desk and pay. I go up there, the guy at the front desk asks what room I’m in, I tell him, and he says I’m good. Rodeway Inn/Budget Inn has caused me a lot of stress.
