Employees are Friendly and helpful. The rug was stained there were marks on wall. The beds were very uncomfortable. Not your typical courtyard. Just need a refurb. Location is good walking distance to restaurants
First the black mold in the shower was gross. The stains on the floor near the toilet could have been even more gross. The ceiling over the bed was cracked. The shower enclosure was cracked badly. Overall the room was nothing to brag about. We were given a free breakfast and that was very good.
Stayed here for my nieces soccer tournament. Great location as it is walking distance to an outback and tucked back in a cul de sac next to a residence inn and another hotel. I was in a junior suite which was very spacious and great for the family to congregate. The Bistro I always love as it serves Starbucks and Rocky Mount is not a large city with plentiful locations!
Traveling down I-95 and decided to make my stop for the evening in Rocky Mount, NC at the Courtyard I’m a big fan of the Marriott Chain and enjoy the breakfasts in the Bistro in the morning. Check in was especially quick and cheerful, the young lady that helped me was exceptionally vibrant, informed, and highly professional. The room was a bit dated and could definitely use an overhaul. Rooms did not do a very good job insulating me from the tremendous noise of the the nearby highway. I was quite disappointed at this since it lead to me being woken up at about 0500 and getting to listen to all the early morning commuter traffic. Other than that I enjoyed myself and all the things that I’ve come to appreciate about Marriott Properties.
The residence Inn and Courtyard share parking lot. Starting from the welcome the visit was very good. The staff welcomed us as a platinum member and made sure we got the room we wanted. We had a snack at the restaurant and the food was hot and well prepared. The room was clean and neat. No highway sounds were heard.
Well located, near major highway junction, several other hotels nearby. Clean, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Very friendly staff, specially Malik at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful when I checked in late night. I enjoyed my stay.
Stayed here for ECU VT game. One of my things I always have to have is a hot tub at a motel.I went to game and when I got back, was looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub, only to find out it was broken. It was hot but the jets were broken .It was also dirty and had not been cleaned out. I told the manager and she was nice enough to give me back some of my points I used for the room. Everything else was fine. Neat designed room, comfortable, quiet and convenient. The people who worked here was super nice. Check in was super fast and ready. They treated me really nice. Would stay again if hot tub was working.
Staff at the desk was great and extremely helpful. We asked for a top floor room, and was granted that request. The room is very clean and love the bedding is not heavy, but is breathable. A good choice of pillows one for every one as far as hardness, and I happen to like a soft small fill one. You purchase a breakfast if you want one included. A lot of buffets I am not impressed with and watch folks eat a bunch because it is free. Nice food offering inside the Hotel, so that was nice since it was pouring when we got here. Prices for food was ok as well as the food, but you won't get drunk with their wine prices for an average at best glass of wine. If back in this area, will chose to stay here again. Very Pleased.
We have stayed here several times and enjoy the friendly staff, clean rooms and location. This stay was right in time to see the eclipse and incredibly the staff were outside with special glasses allowing guests to view the eclipse safely and with enthusiastic friendliness. This was a very "gift" for us and this kindness will always be remembered.
We did not consider this Marriott "shabby" as some other reviewers did. Room was quiet and bed comfortable. Only small problem was there was only one person at the front desk so it was sometimes hard to get an answer. Housekeeping a little slack with no waste basket in the bathroom, they did fetch one though. Staff was friendly. Although there is no free breakfast, I like the Courtyard because they have a Starbucks cafe. Those free breakfast buffets tend to have the WORST coffee! Awful way to start the day. I'd rather pay for something good. The cafe staff was extremely efficient and cheerful.
