Unclean room and a poorly lit parking lot

The manager seemed genuinely nice, but the room was no so great. It is possible that the rug was vacuumed some, BUT nobody had bothered to vacuum the corners for a couple of years. Also, due to Covid(?) Only coffee and crackers for breakfast.

Overnight stay. Quiet.

The room was run down. It's obvious that there has been no maintenance done in years. The faucet wasn't attached to the sink. There were floor/baseboard tiles falling off the walls in the bathroom. The electrical outlet that the reading lamp was plugged into was shorted and kept arching until we unplugged the lamp. The mattresses were very old and worn out and provided absolutely no support. And the room hadn't been dusted in months. Then there was the "free breakfast". Seriously? The options were: an apple, banana, cheese or peanut butter Lance snack crackers, and coffee. I knew we should have walked/ran away when it took 30 minutes to get somebody to check us in. Do yourself a favor and choose someplace else to stay. The Baymont my be a Wyndham property, but it is not up to Wyndham standards. As a hospitality professional of 25 years, my impression of the place is that it is just a step above sleeping in your car.

This was a typical, poorly owned and managed hotel more concerned with making money than maintaining the property. Our room was extremely damp the entire trip and it sounded like water could be heard running/dripping inside the walls after a hard rain. We ran the A/C all night at 68 to try and dry the room, but it was no use. Would not surprise me if this place was taking on water from a leaky roof. Won't be staying at this poorly managed place again. The staff was friendly and room was generally clean, but the condition of the property is awful and management should be ashamed. It's also sad that they charge full price, but don't allow use of the pool.

Disappointing Covid restricted breakfast

Convenient to highway. Did provide some pack and go snack for breakfast. I have low expectations when selecting a transit hotel as we just need a bed a shower. However, as soon as you open the front door a predominant smell of urine wafted out. Flush the toilet in 127 and smell for yourself. The walls are full of stains and patches. The humidity bled the red painted wall. Original shower fixtures and lights from 70s. Regional mgmt has to audit this location and I can safely say Baymont will not be on my list anymore. Same underwhelming quality as Red carpet down the street but $15/night more. At least make some effort to update and refresh. I am sorry for negative review yet I am not sorry as future travelers need to know. How do people rank 5 stars are crazy.

I stayed 5 nights at the Baymont - Rocky Mount I-95, Cleanliness was exceptional, and the room guest services were very good as well. I was late once for breakfast and the front desk arranged for me a small take out as a show of good will. Some in-room maintenance issues, but non-significant. Overall staff was accommodating, and I'd stay there again.

Very clean, nice place. Friendly staff. They couldn’t have breakfast bc of COVID, but they put out some snacks and coffee in the lobby.

Just another old motel shower didn’t look very clean.

The place was clean and close to I-95. The staff were helpful and kind.

Fine for an overnight, if you're in the area. Clean rooms and beds were comfortable. Breakfast is just OK, but for the price, and if you dont need lots of frills and amenities, it's a goid option.

Older hotel but well kept. Nothing fancy but if you need a clean place to crash it’s worth it

We are sorry you were unhappy. I could only wish I knew what room you had so we could look into these issues. We had changed most of the beds just a little before covid. We were just about to start renovations when Covid hit and everything got shut down. I understand that plans are in the works to start back up on renovations in the very near furture we are waiting for the product to come in. Stay safe and have a nice day.
