We stay here several times a year on our travel between Florida and Maine, and they never disappoint. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the rooms are great. There's a kitchenette in the room, and grills by the pool, so we can even have a nice home cooked meal in our travels. Can't ask for anything more!
Checking in was a breeze Greg, the desk person, was personable, courteous and helpful. Our room was spacious with a separate bedroom, full kitchen, living room with comfortable couch and recliner, and a large bathroom. We had our chocolate lab with us. No pet odor from previous guests and our room was spotlessly clean. Bed super comfortable. Will stay here on our way back to Florida if possible.
Rooms are older but the friendly staff (GREG) when we checked in made up for everything. Greg did an excellent job of providing us quiet rooms and making sure we had everything we needed for a short, quiet sleep. Reasonably priced, clean.
This is mostly a long-stay venue but was great for overnight w family. Pretty clean, but previous persons shoes left in closet and dirty spoons left in dishwasher. Friendly staff give you good list for local meals. Some confusion ab breakfast package- didn't get it through reserving by phone w IHG
We stopped here for a night with Quincy and Louise, our cat friends. They enjoyed the stay thoroughly. The room was spacious, and they were able to bound about. They appreciated the quiet air conditioning and the hello from the folks at the desk. And, oh yes, their mom and dad were pleased as well. Clean and friendly. There's a diner a minute's walk away where you can get real southern cookin' and yummy chocolate chip cookies -- as well as breakfast -- which is not served at the motel.
Front office staff Greg, Joanie and Marilyn were so helpful. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful and pleasant. It was busy season but all the staff were prompt with help. Rooms well organized and clean. Kathy Figler
We booked this hotel the day before and weren't expecting much based on the affordable price. It exceeded our expectations by far. Our room was comfy, the kitchenette was nice and had what we needed, and the food available on the honor system was a nice touch. The staff was SO NICE and so fast to check us in and out. It's not brand new or super stylish, but it's practical, clean, comfortable and has great amenities. The gym is nice too.
On my Way to NY from Florida I made this my overnight stopover. I had looked on a running trails website and there is a great trail called the Tar River Trail very close to this hotel. The desk manager that night was very helpful. I inquired about pets as well and he said not only dogs but cats and even hamsters are allowed to stay here! There is a nice little diner within walking distance of the hotel as well and I had an excellent meal there in the morning. The room I stayed in was spotless. It had a full refrigerator, microwave, full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. In the morning I went for a 3 mile run along the Tar River and then got back to the hotel and had a great shower. All in all a great experience in the very reasonably priced, excellent hotel!
My boyfriend and I are traveling through the area and decided to book a room here after reading so many positive reviews. Within 2 minutes of checking in, I found a giant roach in the bathroom. 20 minutes later, I found my dog with another roach in his mouth in the kitchenette of our king suite. We were moved to another room on the 2nd floor with no assistance. We threw all our stuff onto a luggage cart only to find that it wouldn't fit through the elevator doors with the dog crates on it. After several trips, we got everything into the new room. Although I haven't seen any bugs since switching rooms, this one isn't much better. The AC unit barely functions (likely due to the abundance of dirt and grime packed into the vents), the fixtures are ripping out of the walls, there's trash under the bed and couch from the previous guest, and the shower drain is covered in what appears to be a combination of mold and soap scum. We were informed that this was the only room left and since it's already midnight, we don't really have any choice but to stay here. If it weren't for traveling with our dogs, we would rather sleep in our truck than this garbage pile. Next time, save your money and stay in an actual dumpster.
After a long day of driving on I-95 we were ready to stop for the night. This hotel had good reviews and a competitive price so we gave it a try. Room was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. Our rate included breakfast coupons at a nearby diner.
