When I walked into my room I felt like I had graduated from the dungeon to the penthouse. What a comfortable suite with a feeling of home as soon as you cross the threshold. The desk clerk was warn and welcoming. Beautiful and clean facility.

The hotel is conveniently located just off of major highways. Our room was clean and comfortable. The room included a full size refrigerator, microwave, small range, dishes/pans. The pool is outdoor but the temperature was pleasant in early June. We were in the area for a soccer tournament, and many players/families were staying in the hotel, but it was still quiet. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Fellow travelers, We stayed at Candlewood Suites in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant; thanks Christine, and efficient. The room has spotless, towels soft and fluffy, but the most impressive element was the full size refrigerator, a fully stocked kitchenette with utensils, plates, cups etc. Do yourself a favor--- don't search on line for the best hotel in Rocky Mount--trust me-- Candlewood Suites is top drawer! Stayed only one night on a trip North but we were fortunate to pick Candlewood. The room was clean and amenities fine. Greg was managing the desk when we arrived. Courteous, hospitable and professional. Will definitely earmark Candlewood for our future north bound trips. (If you need ice, ask the front desk. They are happy to accomodate.)

This is the first time we stayed at Candlewood in Rocky Mount NC. This was our half way point between Florida and Pennsylvania. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and courteous. They made sure our rooms were freshly cleaned prior to us going up. The room was nice, clean and comfortable, beds were great. Bathroom was large and clean. Had no idea that these rooms had full kitchens (stove, fridge, etc) which was a huge bonus. The A/C was a little tricky as you have to keep your keycard in to keep on the A/C but ours would turn off every now and then anyway, even with it in, so we would just take out and reinsert. Something I didn't know, this is a pet friendly hotel. We didn't travel with pets but happy to know if we do next time, I can bring my pup along. Eventhough they are pet friendly, most dogs were on the first floor, and I heard no barking the whole time I was there. Nice stay for a stopover, and I will be back in the future.

Arrived late in the evening. Check-in/out process was efficient. Front desk staff in pm and am was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Only wish the coffee offered in lobby in the morning was better. Would stay here again.

The Candlewood Suites is right off Rt. 95 so an easy stop as we were passing through on our way to Charleston, SC. There are many similar hotels at the same intersection so lots of choices. The Candlewood was perfectly adequate but nothing fancy. Best part was the lovely guy who checked us in and is very proud of the hotel and liked his attitude. We didn't need to use the kitchenette but can see how it would be nice for others. The hotel was fully booked and we were told it usually is during the week.

Stayed on our way back from Florida. Very clean and spacious. Kitchen was stocked and there was a large pet friendly area. Only downside was no breakfast. Had to go next door to the diner which was very retro. Would have liked it more had there been a free breakfast.

This was the 2nd time we stayed at Candlewood while traveling to Florida. When I checked in I recognized Greg at the front desk from the prior year. He had all our information & remembered we had a canoe on top of the car last year (and this year). Greg is the epitome of customer service & the hotel is fortunate to have him. Our room was great; spacious, clean & a comfortable bed. This will certainly be our go to stop when traveling through.

Be aware that this property doesn’t offer breakfast and there are no ice machines anywhere. Laptop picked up the WiFi with no problem, could not connect the cell phones at all. Annoying but minor negatives. We were greeted by a desk clerk that very obviously should have stayed home that day nursing a very severe cold. Poor man could hardly talk! Only person around, though. After receiving the card keys and instructions (do not smoke in the room!) we could not wait to go upstairs and wash our hands plus the keys and the front door handles. Well, neither key worked, so I went back to have them reprogrammed. The clerk was outside, smoking. Keys were reprogrammed and worked fine after that. The room, bathroom and small kitchenette were very clean, as were the sheets and pillows. Interestingly, there is a full size refrigerator in the room, but no ice in the freezer. There is a coffee maker available and a couple of coffee bags, sugar, etc, just two full size plates and two smaller salad dishes, two cereal bowls, two paper coffee cups, a large dishwasher (for two plates?) and an small electric dual stove plus a microwave. All designed for an extended stay, but with limited supplies. Did not see any pots and pans, maybe you have to ask for them. There is a small shop in the lobby selling sodas, chips, etc. The parking lot is very well lit, but there are no places nearby within walking distance. This is a pet friendly facility. We asked a young service lady where we could find ice and were told that there is none available, except for some in the back of the office. Down to the front desk again with the empty freezer tray, but the same gentleman with the horrible cold told us that not one is allowed behind the desk and that he would get the ice for us. Not a good solution for us without being discourteous to this person. Luckily the young lady understood our plight and offered to get the ice, which she did. A+ to this employee! Unless you plan an extended stay and don’t care for a cocktail before dinner, I would hesitate to stay again in this Candlewood Suites as there are some other choices around, but it should be a perfectly adequate stay for your I 95 travel, as long as you are aware of some small limitations.
