This stay was a welcome break from walking around Kent. Bill is a very amicable host.. The room was tidy with a wash hand basin and toilet. There was a shared bathroom and shower room. The hotel is only a short distance from the town centre and cathedral. Quite over night as well. With a good breakfast I departed very happy.

Bill is a great host and really helpful. The house is set up the hill, about 20 mins from high street, cathederal, etc. Makes it a really good location. Rooms are of a generous size and although a little faded, everything works and is very clean. Breakfast was fine and overall the house is good value. Thanks Bill

We had an excellent stay, beds very comfy and the rooms were spacious. We were looked after very well and provided with a very tasty breakfast. Location is convenient for walking to local attractions. Pet friendly. Good value for money.

I stayed here for one night recently. My room was spacious and clean with an ensuite shower and toilet. The rates are very reasonable as well. Phone Bill the proprietor directly for the best price. Perfectly situated a little way back from Rochester High Street. I understand that there is some parking available but it would be wise to confirm this with Bill first. Excellent

Based on other places I have stayed for a similar price this place was a huge disappointment particularly as the trip adviser reviews all generally give it a 4 or 5 rating. I would not want to spend more than one night here. In my opinion although the room was described as a superior double by it is not how I would describe a superior room as I fail to see what was superior about it. The room was tiny and dark (room 2). You couldn’t open both wardrobe doors as the bedside table was in the way. The ensuite was even smaller set in a space no bigger than a cupboard. The sink was tiny and you couldn’t fill the kettle up from it only by tipping cups of water into it. On a plus note the shower was good, the room clean and in a nice quiet road about 5/10 minutes from the high street. The place feels that it needs some love and attention. Although called a bed and breakfast breakfast is not included if you book through a booking agent and there is a supplement for it.

Thanks Bill for this wonderfull stay at Greystones. The very warm welcome and the little tour you gave us in the house made us feel at ease immediately. Hygenically 100% ok, comfortable bed, fresh towels and nice bathrooms and everything well organised. The nicely, authentically decorated house makes you feel really at home. You really are a host which has an eye for every detail which made us able to simply enjoy and relax during our stay. Thanks also for the help with the parking spot, the advice on going into the town and the very nice English breakfast you made us.

Perfect location for the High St, Cathedral,Castle and all other places of interest we wanted to see. Bill is a great host, polite and helpful. Room is large with comfy bed. Great ensuite.Breakfast was lovely. We will certainly use greystones if we are in the area in the future.

Had a lovely room, found bill to be a warm and helpful host, any problems put right quickly,Greystones is like going to a distant relative you have never met, amazing house, trusting,we had to leave quickly to catch train,so couldn’t sample the hairdryer in room, but sure bill could provide..would gladly return, maybe parking would be an issue, but we didn’t need it,mostly residents parking in area..thanks bill

Family of 3 spent the night at Greystones whilst visiting my brother for a New Year’s Eve party, we had a large room with a large double bed and a single bed, room was nice and warm with a good ensuite, Bill was a great host, very accommodating and flexible, breakfast was superb, couldn’t fault it. Would definitely recommend.

Our host was very welcoming and helpful. Greystones is well suited location wise for visiting the Cathedral and town as the walk isn't too far although it is up the hill so be prepared. However my husband and I are not the fittest and we were fine. I loved the house as it had a lot of character. We had a large bedroom wuth en suite. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We had a cooked breakfast in the morning which was lovely. Cereal is also available. We enjoyed our stay very much.
