I thought the customer service, amenities, and location were outstanding. I highly recommend this resort! My stay here was one of the best vacations I've ever had!
We took a trip with another couple we are friends with over labor day weekend. The resort is quite big, which requires a lot of walking or waiting for a transport (which sometimes can take a long time or not get you to where you need to be). The room was cleaned daily, but the mini fridge was only restocked two of seven days. The dinner meals were good, but breakfast and lunch were the same food which was sub par at best. The staff were all friendly and the drinks did not seem watered down or anything like that. A tip goes a long way with the bar stuff. Overall we had a great time, but would likely not return.
Grand Palladium White Sand- very good. Hotel has been built into the jungle, a lot of walking which we liked. Nice boat riding on the internal river. Clean room, territory, friendly employees. Everything is taken care of, clean beach. Pretty good evening shows even one at 10:30 pm is too late. Very good food (fish dishes mostly overcooked). Special thanks for the great job to: Ribs & More / Rodizio restaurant - Chef - Carloc Chay - the best, Capitan - Alejandra Martinez, Waiters - Ivan Leyva, Eric. Mare Westrom restaurant - Chef - Manuel Cado, Capitan - Juan Zarate, El Dorado Restaurant - Headvaiter - Gabriel Carrillo. Customer Service - Ms. Perla. Within Palladium Group hotels Rivera and Royal located far away from the beach. White Sand, Colonial, Kentana have access to the white sand beach with a lot of beach chairs, palms, umbrellas. To swim is possible only on two spots about 40 yards wide each. One - by Colonial and one by Kentana. Otherwise - rocks and coralls. TV is 20+ years old Zenith. Drinks mostly domestic. We liked it overall, would come back and would recommend it to others. Alex, Val, bldg 56, White Sand New York April 2014
From the moment we arrived, all staff was wonderful! Daniel the bartender was great! We had a lot of fun at this resort. The sister resorts are within walking distance (esp if you take the shoreline way). The shows were very entertaining. The breakfast buffet, I think, was the best! And the Steak House was the best specialty restaurant! I would definitely recommend this resort to others!
All the reviews are pretty accurate for this resort. Be prepared to walk but the resort is so nice you wont mind. Service was good but go early to dinner or you will wait. Normal 1 to 1 1/2 wait. Room A/C could be better, doesnt cool down until about 3am. Give some tips to bartenders and they will remember and have your drink ready as you walk up. Food at resturants in good, buffet is what you expected. Good drinks and they will put as much alcohol as you want. My only issues were that we traveled with another family and requested beforehand to be close to each other which we were not. My main complaint is as follows. At check out they asked for some travel voucher . I gave this to them at check in but they marked down that I did not. We had to fumble thru emails to try to find and our transfer to airport left. Resort refused to pay for transfer and I got stuck paying for another one even though I would have made it if it wasn't for them asking for the voucher. They had 7 days to leave a note in my room to bring to the front desk but never did. I am trying not to let this ruin the memory on a great vacation, but sometimes the last impression can be as important as the first.
This is a beautiful place with excellent dinning. Lots of entertainment and things to do. But put your walking shoes on this place is huge and you walk everywhere. Need to have golf cart rentals or some other form of transportation everyone's feet hurt by end of trip. Except for my daughter which I carried most of the time.
