Wonderful

The staff was overly sweet and took great care of us . Every time we came back to our room it was cleaned & restocked like the very first day . They barely let us lift a finger they brought food drinks continuously .

Pro: The restaurant wait staff was generally amazing. They went the extra mile to make sure that we had everything we needed for our infant daughter. Housekeeping was also very attentive and efficient. Cons: Our neighbors were cigarette smokers. Because of this we could not fully use our outdoor pool. We did not want to expose our infant daughter to the disgusting smoke. I complained on 5 separate occasions to the front desk. However they did not resolve the issue. Our neighbors continued to smoke many times a day. The staff could have at least offered to move us to a new room. Secondly, the restaurant options on Christmas Eve were not planned well. There were many people at the resort but not enough table space. This resulted in very long lines and people becoming angry due to hunger. They did not have enough space for the special Christmas entertainment.

Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa is a solid 3.5 star experience and the main reason it has 3.5 stars is because of the staff who try so hard with the very limited resources Hyatt provides them. It is unfortunate that Hyatt does not invest in this property because there is real potential in the infrastructure. I went to Dreams to celebrate my friends wedding and it was memorable and they created a beautiful wedding for her despite the stormy weather. With regards to the other aspects of the stay, first, the alcohol is completely watered down, like I didn't feel anything from tequila shots (not even a cheap tequila headache) all week and the moment I hopped back on the flight home and had a half a glass of wine, I was tipsy. I am grateful we stayed in Preferred because otherwise the food options for breakfast and lunch would have been meager. There are mosquitos and bugs all over, the rooms are musty and moldy and the beds are very uncomfortable. The staff gives their best and are memorable, from Abraham to Izrael, Martine and Santiago! Dinner is way more impressive than breakfast and lunch. The road into the resort NEEDS to be fixed, it is horrible.

Don’t be fooled by the $200 or $400 or $xx amount travel voucher like I was. I was led yo believe I would have a $400 voucher to use as I chose at the hotel. I was excited to get a facial and massage. I couldn’t use my vouchers to do so. The vouchers have heavy restrictions: i could only use $40 toward specific spa services, usually those in excess of $175. So I didn’t end up using any of my $400. I don’t know if it’s Orbitz or Dreams who deliberately misled customers, but buyer beware. The $400 voucher was the final push that I needed to book the Dreams vacation. Had I known there were so many restrictions, I would not have booked. Please note there were NO disclosures about the restrictions.

Amazing property, the ocean had lots of seaweed, always. Crew cleaning it.

Dreams Riviera will take your breath away. The views are spectacular, the service and atmosphere was wonderful. The staff was courteous and friendly and always greeted us with a warm smile. Our waiter Santos went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy. He made our stay memorable and we will be returning to Dreams because of him!!

The room very nice and gorgeous view. Staff very friendly and helpful even if some of them struggle to communicate but they've tried. Some of the information about Spa pre arrival offers that I got by email is different from the resort. Overall I satisfied and enjoyed this trip.

This place OUTSTANDING! Me and my family truly loved this place so much! And the fact the food was super delicious, there was a lot to do and I don’t think this place needs to change from how amazing! And the room was so clean and the place who work there were super nice!! Even though this place is expensive, It was totally worth it!!
