Our room was nice and the bed was comfy. We weren't able to get hot water for the shower. The condo is close to the little beach over the bridge, but the bigger, nicer one is about a 20 minute walk. The center is a 15 minute walk away and has shops to browse, dolphins, manatees and seals to look at.
Puerto Aventuras is a huge gated community with several different condo complexes within. There is a great marina, and a couple of beautiful resorts too. This makes for a large, relaxing community and Coral Maya is a nice well maintained condo. The pool is clean and flows around the units. House keeping is done each day. Air conditioner worked fine and unit had an adequate kitchen to make meals. The manager, Saul was very helpful in our needs. We rented a golf cart to drive around the large PA area. The cost was $40 US per day. The cost for the condo was very reasonable for the area. The condo does need improvements, but all in all it filled our needs.
We stayed at Coral Maya for 11 days. The staff there are very helpful and take care of any problems promptly. The room was thoroughly cleaned daily. The pool area is very nice and sunny and is a great place to spend a day and meet other guests. We enjoyed our stay and would go back except we really like to have beachfront if we can. This place is only 100 yards from the beach but there is no chairs there for your use unless you pay 500 pesos/day. It is about a kilometre walk to the marina but we rented bikes and used them to go everywhere including the grocery store across the highway. This place is good value for your money. Above our expectations.
The kitchen was great, refrigerator large, microwave, toaster, 4 burners and only missing an oven which we didn't need. Chedraui along 307 was very handy and also the little stores in Puerto Aventuras "center." The beds were ok, and we appreciated the couch, and comfortable chair...also the glass table and 4 chairs We enjoyed many of the restaurants toward the "center" also esp. Cafe Ole and La Caleta. Having a rental car did help us get to places quicker, but we could have taken a long walk. Be sure and visit near the dolphins and walk to the end of the marina and see the manatees. Also at the end of one of the arms where the water comes in from the Caribbean is a Conservatory walk ending in a Mayan dwelling used by the canoe traders. Driving on 307 going north a few kilometers is Paalmul. Turn to the water side on Thursdays and there is a fun local market mostly attended by expats, but a local's truck had some fine fish, shrimp etc. from Campeche. We loved the pool at Coral Maya and enjoyed it especially after the beach..we could easily access the beach in two different places. Walk toward the "center" and just past the first bridge there are stairs to descend to the beach. We carried folding chairs that we had brought with us...huge circular beach protected from big waves. There is a nearer entry to the sea, but it has a rocky beach, but beautiful landscapes. We drove to the west of 307 and went farther west of Chedraui where the general Mexican population live. We were amazed with the planned facilities there, rows and rows of small homes, sports fields, small shops, outdoor local cafes, etc. Saul was very helpful to acquaint us to the area. We would recommend Coral Maya especially to those who are comfortable with an organized, huge created community. It's safe, fun to see the boats and yachts, etc. We definitely hope to return.
We stayed in Coral Maya for 6 nights! Appartment was very clean and well maintained. Pool was nice too but there is no actual private beach but the bay where you can do kayaking. Its very close to the beach though - around 300 m. Overall we were very pleased with the place and would recommend as the price wasn't high at all.
This place is more for families/couples. The beaches are OK but not as nice as other places I've been. Great pool for kids. This place is on what I would call a compound and not much outside the compound unless your going on a tour which I highly recommend. All the food and drink (alcohol) are included on tours. If you go in Dec. you won't need the bug spray but do take your own just in case, also sun block as theirs is very expensive.
We had an amazing time at this location , we rented a 2 bed 2 bath villa for my wife's BD and shared with another couple , we also had our brother and his family joined at a different villa. The setting is perfect private beach, golf , Dolphins very inexpensive and amazing food and drinks , it is a gated community with 24/7 security and great service. the caribbean waters are walking distance and we even had a Kayak just outside our room that we enjoyied, also the pool and the rooftop were great amenities we can't wait to go back and bring some more friends with us. You will love it , guaranteed
Excelent Hotel and rooms. Perfect for family vacations. Good service and comodities. I´m planning a second trip next year and i will return to Coral Maya. I have three kids and they enjoy the pool and all the atractions we have near like the dolphinarius.
Safe place. Great area. Gaurd out front every night. Great price. Nothing extravagant but we spent most of our time out of the room. Nice pool area. No ice trays. Overall we were very satisfied. It is about a mile walk to the exit. You can rent a bike in the front but if test drive it first.
This condo-hotel exceed my expectations. It is clean. Well located. It does not have beach but it is very very very close to it. Very near to the marina where there are a lot of options of resturants, etc. We had great vacations I would go back there without seconds thoughts. I am very "picky" type of person and this place was excelent. Again....the management was so friendly and helpful (advicing) on where to go, how to go to places, etc. Highly recommended.
