Wonderful hotel, very comfortable, elegant rooms, inviting restaurant, where you can taste the italian cuisine and international. A whole big room for children club, where they can play, take dinner, under the attentive look of 2-3 babysitters. There are 2 (3?) appartments where the children rooms are furnished especially for them! You have to cross the street and you are on the beach! The owner, Miss Georgetti is a special person, very kindly, correctly and she trys every year to add something new and better to her hotel.
After long driving and cold weather, we arrived to K2 hotel. we got Immediately a big warm welcome from Petia and all the crew and we started to feel at home. The hotel is very clean and the Suite was just fantastic, the children had their room with separate shower and the for the parents the room was with amazing comfortable bed, shower room and balcony. The hotel is located in front of the beach and on the main street so you can find around you all kind of shops and many lovley people. At the evening we went down to eat dinner at the hotel resturant, the waiters took us to our table and ask what we wish to drink...(we have been in several hotels in the world but we never got this attention from the dining crew). The food was just great!!!! Italian kitchen in is best!!! During the meal Rita, the owner of the hotel came to ask if everything is fine (she did it in every meal- brakefast and dinner). When we were looking for hotel in the adriatic coast we found that there are so many hotels and it was difficult to decide but the the reason that we choose K2 was because of the great hospitalty and i must say that it is beyond expectations. So, if you are looking for perfect holiday in the Adriatic coast, choose K2. Thank you Rita,Petia and all K2 crew for making our holiday the best we could get(and also my birthday...). Warm greetings and best wishes from Israel. Family Hochberg
Stayed here for 1 week in May and can't wait to return!!!! Everything was just perfect from the clean, fresh rooms, beautiful food and magnificent staff especially the beautiful Linda who couldn't do enough for us!!! Location is just a dream!!!
We are going every year to the K2 hotel in Bellaria-Igea-Marina. The staff is just in one word awesome. They make it feels like a new home for you. And then about the food, it is amazing. The location is also perfect. If you want a holliday full with rest you can go to the beach directly near the hotel. If you like some shopping or more activity go and visit Rimini, it is only 15 minutes by bus. Igea Marina has everything what you are lookig for in a perfect holiday. We love it there. And for the staff: Keep on going the good work and can't wait to see you next year. Ciao from Almelo (NL) fino all'anno prossimo principesse!!!!!
Located 30 meters from beach, although they are privately owned and €15 seemed expensive for two beds and a parasol, particularly as it was mid afternoon! Our room was the nicest in our tour of Italy and seemed to have been recently refurbished to a high standard. Our air conditioning did not work (as others have reported) and we were informed that the local authority only allowed the hotel to provide air conditioning during specified dates. (!!??) The food was not restaurant standard but the cost of full board was so reasonable that it would not really be justified to complain about it. We arrived there in mid September and a lot of hotels and restaurants had already closed for the season and K2 was closing the weekend after we left. So things were a bit quiet although Rimini and San Marino are nearby and well worth visiting - particularly San Marino. And, yes, the staff really are as nice and helpful as everyone says - they are a great team and are a credit to the hotel.
I cannot say that I have ever stayed in a hotel where the staff were more helpful! From the second we arrived we felt like family, nothing was too much trouble and the welcome was amazing! The food and service were excellent and the rooms lovely! We were staying here as a surprise trip for my husband birthday and we're traveling to see the Motogp in San Marino. We will be back and bringing the whole family!!!
Big big thank you to Rita and Petia for hospitality and individual approach! My wife my dog and i we had Absolutely beautiful stay at kappa dua! All staff was treating all guests like their family, very attentive very positive. Thanks girls keep up the good work!
We stayed for two nights at this hotel in a triple room at the top floor with our daughter. The room was stylish and clean and we had a very large bathroom. The breakfast (included) was of a lower standard for this country (in fact, the first bad coffee we had in Italy!) and unfortunately, there was barely any restaurant in walking distance so we ended up with a snack after a long day on the beach (you can buy half board though which seemed to be standard in the area). All in all: a good night's sleep in a very crowded area.
It was a strange experience. We were very happy with the service and location generally. However rooms were small and AC didn't work. Mostly it was just grandparents with grandchildren in this town that made the whole atmosphere. Difficult with non Italians to follow the rules - pool was closed from 12-15 (sic!) we were thrown out from beach as we didn't get the system with beds etc etc. ended up with us escaping the Hotel K2 and booking us in Rimini instead, paying double for rest of our stay.
We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Hotel K2 and had a fantastic time. We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and shown to our room, which was clean, comfortable and decorated in an oriental style. We were given a bottle of Prosecco, as we were spending our 2nd Wedding Anniversary at the hotel. The resort was celebrating "Pink Night" on the weekend we arrived, and so the hotel was decorated in pink with a party taking place in the reception area, we were given pink T-Shirts and invited to join the celebrations. It was lovely to see the K2 and neighbouring hotels decorated with pink flowers, ribbons and flags. The hotel has a small gym on the 5th floor, however some of the equipment was broken and there was no air-conditioning which made exercising difficult in the hot weather! We ate at the breakfast buffet every day, which had a wide selection of cakes, and a smaller selection of cereal, fruit and yoghurts. We also ate lunch in the hotel twice, which was delicious with plenty to choose from including fish, pasta, rice, salad and pastries. The reception staff were very helpful, especially Petia who recommended and booked a restaurant for us. We travelled into Rimini several times during our stay for shopping, sight-seeing and food, and this was easy using the number 4 bus which stops near to the hotel. The bus tickets were 2 Euros each, last for 75 minutes and can be purchased at the hotel reception. The beach is just across the road from the hotel, however you are charged 16 euros per day for use of the sun-loungers and parasol. We decided to use the free area of the beach which is approx 15 minutes walk to the right of the hotel. The beach is clean, well-maintained and offers lots of activities every day including Zumba, yoga, bowls and spinning. The small swimming pool is shared with another hotel, and can become very crowded. The pool closes every day between 12pm-3pm whilst everyone goes to lunch in their hotels. Bellaria Igea-Marina was primarily full of Italian holiday-makers with very few English guests, so we did find the rules regarding the beach and pool difficult to understand, for example we were not aware that sun-beds needed to be booked in advance. The K2 Hotel is located in a pedestrianised area which has a lot going on every evening including live music, market stalls and a fun-fair. Nearby Bellaria offers several restaurants, shops and bars which stay open late into the night. We would recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun.
