The property is close enough to city to drive and close to restaurants as well.

It seems dirty. The elevators are beat up and dirty. Bed was excellent.

Property was under construction, so it was dusty and incomplete in some places. However, the finished parts were incredibly well done.

To start, we didn't know that the hotel was under renovation. It was dusty and only one elevator worked. The elevator was dirty from the construction. Then, on the first night of our stay at around 9pm, another guest opened our room. It seems like the person that checked us in did not marked the room as occupied. That was the first time that anything like this has ever happened to me. Also, the first night I called the front desk about 8 times and every single time it got disconnected or sounded like they hanged up. I ended up to have to change into clothes again and go downstairs to get some linens for the sofa bed. Lastly, a band of kids were occupying the rooms around us. They made lots of noise until late at night and the were banging doors and playing loud music at 5 am both days that we were there. I understand the dust and dirt from the construction but the experience was enough to avoid this hotel in the future.

We have stayed there December 2017,2018 for TSO Concert at Richmond Coliseum. Very close proximity to Venue. Good price.

This Holiday Inn is under construction, yet you wouldn't know that since no online sales sites lists it that way. The lobby is no more currently. You have go in the back door where there is a makeshift check in table. Half the rooms are not available--they're being gutted. The building itself is surrounded with a chain link fence. The complimentary breakfast was sad. Cereal and cold danishes with cold pancakes you heat up in the microwave. The coffee could clean out rusty pipes. We didn't partake in breakfast and went to McDonald's instead. Hopefully this hotel will be MUCH better when renovations are done. I don't mind renovations as long as 1) I know ahead of booking, and 2) I get a vastly reduced rate due to the inconvenience of the renovations. I'd rather go somewhere else and pay a little more in order to not have to deal with the mess... I just think I should be made aware of the renovations before booking.

My complaint is not with the hotel, but with Orbitz. It's pretty clear Orbitz knew, or should have known, that his hotel was in the midst of "renovation" -- but we were not informed. This is how Orbitz described it to me when I was booking: “Casual modern option with an on-site eatery & outdoor pool, plus free parking & happy hour.” In truth: “Breakfast room” - some boxes of cereal, some apples, a handful of not-very-enticing pastries; two kinds of juice; no coffee; no hot food at all. The room was extremely cold. A kind, and rather embarrassed worker, sat behind the table, huddled next to a space heater. She was wearing a ski parka/jacket and she was still shivering. I was, too. The stairway from 4th floor to lobby was getting darker and darker as I descended, and when I reached the 2nd floor, I flat-out could not see down the stairs to the 1st floor. I felt it was too dangerous to take them, so I got off on the 2nd floor and then took the elevator to the 1st floor. I would NOT have chosen this hotel had Orbitz been on the job. These signs (see photo) were on every exterior door, inside the elevators, and plenty of other locations. The staff felt bad for us, I know.

We only stayed for one night since we needed to be close to VCU for surgery the next morning. The staff was courteous and answered all my questions about places to go eat, and morning commute. There’s a shopping center within walking distance with several food places and stores.

Staff was very friendly. Room was very comfortable

Dated and run down hotel. I was surprised because most Holiday Inns are nice. There was no toilet paper dispenser and only half of a used roll of toilet paper. The hotel “bar” closes at 10pm and doesn’t have a liquor license so they can only serve beer. Really? The room was generally dirty and furniture was wore out. The beds sucked. Checkout time was noon and at 9:30am a housekeeper came in my room and woke me up. My buddy and I were just in Richmond for one night to see a concert. The hotel was a joke. Staff could care less. Live and learn. Never again.

I didn't get any sleep that night because there was a toilet tank somewhere filling up all night. I couldn't close the drapes so lights were in my eyes all night and I was uncomfortable walking around in my room because you could see through the window.

The only negative thing I have is the windows (at least in the standard rooms) our room was facing towards the main road (can't remember the name but also facing the blue cross blue shield building) and the next morning we wake up it's a very sunny day and the window shades do not extend to cover the window. We woke at 8 a.m. with the sun blinding our eyes and into the whole room. Every hotel I've been to has shades to cover the entire window.

Basically all I needed for one night. Clean and comfortable.

the room was very clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on in a hotel. The staff was very friendly and did a great job.

I stay here about once every 2 months. My previous 10 or so stays have been pretty positive, especially considering location, price, etc. This past stay would have to be classified as terribly. Folks of the 'wrong sort' were hanging out in the lobby, the front desk staff fit in well with this group as they were also rude and unfriendly. The dirtiness started in the entrance, carried through the lobby, into the elevator and up to the room. The room was fine as far as layout etc., however the toilet had not been cleaned, nor had the shower. The TV was also having issues with the signal cutting out every few minutes. Overall a pretty poor performance on some very executable expectations.....D+.

The staff here are outstanding. From the house keepers and the front desk to management all are friendly. I love staying here when I travel to Richmond.

Very good hotel, I'll stay there again and I absolutely would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Dirty and uncomfortable stay. Would never stay again. Not pleasant for any of us.

Not a good experience. Room was dusty and not clean. Staff was not accomodating to single mom with three kids. No soap in the bathroom etc.
