I didn't get any sleep that night because there was a toilet tank somewhere filling up all night. I couldn't close the drapes so lights were in my eyes all night and I was uncomfortable walking around in my room because you could see through the window.

The only negative thing I have is the windows (at least in the standard rooms) our room was facing towards the main road (can't remember the name but also facing the blue cross blue shield building) and the next morning we wake up it's a very sunny day and the window shades do not extend to cover the window. We woke at 8 a.m. with the sun blinding our eyes and into the whole room. Every hotel I've been to has shades to cover the entire window.

Basically all I needed for one night. Clean and comfortable.

the room was very clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on in a hotel. The staff was very friendly and did a great job.

I stay here about once every 2 months. My previous 10 or so stays have been pretty positive, especially considering location, price, etc. This past stay would have to be classified as terribly. Folks of the 'wrong sort' were hanging out in the lobby, the front desk staff fit in well with this group as they were also rude and unfriendly. The dirtiness started in the entrance, carried through the lobby, into the elevator and up to the room. The room was fine as far as layout etc., however the toilet had not been cleaned, nor had the shower. The TV was also having issues with the signal cutting out every few minutes. Overall a pretty poor performance on some very executable expectations.....D+.

The staff here are outstanding. From the house keepers and the front desk to management all are friendly. I love staying here when I travel to Richmond.

Very good hotel, I'll stay there again and I absolutely would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Not a good experience. Room was dusty and not clean. Staff was not accomodating to single mom with three kids. No soap in the bathroom etc.

Customer service person named Lisa should not be at front desk. No customer service skill. Very rude. Really disappointed at the hotel and the long wait for room To be assigned. After an 8 hour drive with family you would think the desk would assign you a room but made to wait for two hours because they are being strict with check in time. Got there at 1.30pm could not get a room till about 4pm. If I could I would ask for a refund. Please Orbitz, get rid of that hotel from your listings. Sink in room was blocked. Other front desk person was excellent.

VISITING WITH DAUGHTER

The internet was broken when I arrived, there was garbage and pieces of crackers all over the carpet, and only one towel in the bathroom. I called to ask if I could have the room vacuumed and a few more towels and when I came back 5 hours later there were new towels but the floor was still full of food. The room otherwise was adequate and the staff was polite and told me where to get internet. I finished my business in town early and asked if I could check out 2 days early and the girl at the desk said that would be fine, just have [...] call and confirm that she OK'd early checkout and the refund. When I called there was a different girl at the desk who denied that the other gal had OK'd my refund and it took 25 minutes on hold to finally get the hotel manager to OK the refund for 2 nights that I didn't even stay there. Not a good deal for the price, the room was fine but it was dirty and no breakfast was included with the price.

We attended a funeral of a brother in Richmond, VA and the 1 room I booked we found a cell phone belonging to another guest prior to us under the bed, just proved it was not cleaned like it should have been, my sister in law and brother stayed in the other room and the 1 bed was not changed so was not very happy with the hotel. Loved the location, close to funeral home and my sister in law who lives in Richmond, just not happy with the rooms.

The front desk staff were nice and friendly and provided me with things to do in the city while I was there

We booked the room as we were looking for places to live in Richmond. We are in Jax florida. job is reloaction we checked in the front desk was great. We were told they had to put a hold on our credit card of $25 for any residual charges when usually we get charged when checking out. We got to the room and my wife notice some blk spots on the pillow case as we unpacked our bags. so we picked it up and took a look at it looked as if it had not been changed from the previous person before us. The bed was made but the linens were not changed. We took it to the front desk. Then when we got back from our house hunt and the wife went to clean her face and went to grab a towel off the rack and didnt becaue the towel had lipstick on the side of if and yellow marks on it from makeup. we took it to the front desk again as I said it looked like they never changed the linens. Then the bathroom on the bottom of the outside tub had black mold BUILD up from residual non cleaning . then we were woke up by slamming doors on the last day of our trip. Did not sleep well. and did not eat at the restaurant any of the days we were there. very dissappointed..:(

Stayed overnight at this hotel for an interview. Friendly staff, quick service. This ain't Ritz Carlton, but suited my needs well.

I had to make reservations for my Aunt, which I paid for her room myself. I went directly through Holiday Inn. I paid $77.00 for her room and $89.00 for my room through Orbitz. I thought Orbitz would be cheaper. I was dissapointed to find out your rates were higher. I will probally not use your site again for traveling.

My husband, my little dog and I, arrived at this hotel at 9 pm on a stormy evening after driving for 10 hours. Upon walking in the hotel the extremely unfriendly staff person said, "We don't let dogs in here!" I said, I made this reservation through Orbitz and it said this hotel was pet friendly. She said, "We have never accepted dogs here. I said, well then I need to cancel my reservation. She said she couldn't help me, I had to go through Orbitz. I had my laptop with me, immediately went online to see if I made a mistake with my reservation and I DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE! Orbitz website said this hotel was pet friendly. I immediately called Orbitz and was put on hold for an untold amount of time. Then I went online and tried to do an online chat for help - THEY DIDN'T HELP ME EITHER!!!! ORBITZ and the HOLIDAY INN did not offer to return my money, did not offer to find us a hotel room. They told me to call back on Monday and perhaps they (Orbitz) would get my money back. THAT'S IT!!!! We drove 60 extra miles in a thunderstorm (we were exhausted!) and stayed at a completely different hotel chain - they helped us out. DO NOT TRUST ORBITZ AND DO NOT TRUST THE HOLIDAY INN. I promise you that I will be contacting senior management in Orbitz and senior management in the Holiday Inn. AND I will be contacting a television station to let them know what happened and hopefully this will be broadcasted as a "Shame On You" segment on the news. Folks there is a lot more to this story about how Orbitz handled my call for help that I am not writing here. For instance, the person who answered the call couldn't even find on their own website that the hotel was pet friendly - I had to explain to him on the phone how to find it. He had told me it was Orbitz fault because the website was wrong and that the hotel was trying to get this changed for 6 MONTHS - how much more information is wrong on their website????? STAY AWAY!!!!!

The hotel was beeing remodeled, so there was a mess in the main lobby, and no area to eat, just a room with the food there and not very inviting. The shower was difficult to adjust, the faucet was loose and drip all the time, We saw no staff only when cleaning the room. The closet door keept falling off the tract that holds the door up. The door key did not work well, would not open at times the room door. The bed linen had many stains, and were not changed. Overal I give the hotel on a scale one to five, a 2 to 3. Perhaps with the new renovations maybe it will be better.

The rooms were very nice and clean, however, the hotel was undergoing renovations.
