relaxing place. the internet went down and the office closes for the night, but otherwise, it was wonderful

We have been coming here for over 30 years. It's just about perfect for us. We especially love the gardens and ample seating everywhere and proximity to town.

This was a pleasant surprise since it was the first time we stayed in Calistoga. The resort was near the primary winery we were visiting and having dinner at. it made traveling back and forth very easy. The heated outside pool was a "hit" and roman baths were very popular with the wives.

We spent 4 nights at Roman Spa in Calistoga, CA. We had never been to Calistoga and were looking to be out of the shi-shi Napa atmosphere that dominates too much of the valley. Calistoga is that place and the Roman Spa is the hotel you want to be at if that fits your taste. No frills. It is clean and well-cared for. The room was quiet. The pools are nice. The hotel is walking distance to all of Calistoga's dining options and many good tasting rooms - weaving is allowed on sidewalks. A real highlight was the CalMart grocery store just a half a block away - you may decide to make you own food (grills available at Roman Spa Hotel) or take-out from the deli to go with the great bottle of wine you really didn't want to take home. We'll be going back!

This was my second time visiting Roman Hot Springs, and it was even better than before. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the pools are terrific. I also had an amazing massage at the spa with Veronica.

We love the pools, of course. But there is more to enjoy: the facility has wonderful outdoor spaces, shady or sunny, to sit and share wine, drink and conversation; there are grills to prepare a meal. Our room had a full kitchen in case we didn't want to go out for a meal. It is a short walk of a block and a half to Sarafornia (great breakfast and lunch place) and the main street which offers many options for a meal. We will return.

Clean, friendly. Grounds keeper was very helpful. Nice pool.

We stayed for 2 days. The room was comfortable and the location of the spa was perfect for walking to near by restaurants and local stores. The pools are clean and quiet. We set up a mud bath and massage with the spa. We highly recommend this. The staff are very friendly and the bath and massages made this a mini vacation we will not forget.

Thank you for your feedback Jackie. I'm sorry the WiFi went down, we had a power outage which took down the system for awhile but we work to get it back up as quickly as we can. As a smaller property, 24 hr front desk is unnecessary, and since we have a caretaker on duty for the off-hours, we always have someone available if needed. I hope we have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

Diane, Thank you again for your loyalty to the Roman Spa. We are always humbled by the number of guests such as yourself that visit us year after year. Coffee and tea service ends at 11, however, just ask at front desk and we would be happy to accommodate with hot tea after 11.
