Checked in, but our plans changed, and we were not able to stay. The front desk agent, I can't remember her name but it was late at night and she was lovely! There were many restaurants nearby and the hotel itself was not hard to find.
Here, the offerings were small. The location was not readily accessible via navigation devices. Here it was once quite a place, now a makeshift hotel. The breakfast room is a two fold section wit about four (4) tables total. The morning options have no protein items. The room was spacious and well adorned for Econ's style. In short, if running on a solo trip, it's ok. For the usage of 8,000 points agreeable.
Me and my dad travelled down to Ohio/Indiana for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Eldora. We stayed about one hour from the track right on the Indiana/Ohio state line. The room was very comfortable with comfy beds, a fridge,tv, several channels, and a bathroom with separate sinks. The only downside was that the phones were down and the pool was out of order. The hotel had a great breakfast included and was located near several restaurants and a truck stop
After arriving in IN and not being able to get the rental car I had reserved to continue my trip, I was in need of lodging for several days and nights! The staff at Econo Lodge were very accommodating, allowing me an early check-in at no extra charge! After hearing that I was "stranded", they even suggested several events that were happening in Richmond the next few days, in case I needed something to do!
I would like to take time to recognize my house keeper Nikki . We stayed there for 3 days and she was always so polite and would always take care of us if we asked for anything she would drop what she was doing and get what we needed cleaned very well and always had a smile on her face. That alone along with the price would be the reason I would definitely stay again.
I just wanted to say thank you to my housekeeper her name was Nikki we stayed for 3 days and she was very helpful and kind to our family . She changed sheets and cleaned those 3 days and made it look like when we first had gotten the room thank you for doing such a great job. Very quiet, great breakfast , and affordable price.
Stopped here late last night as other hotels in area were full. First room had a strong smoke smell. Requested a different room which we accepted but smelled a little like smoke and a lot like pets! The girl from the front desk called room and the cord fell out of the phone while talking to her and phone was missing most of its buttons. Smoke detector hanging out of wall, fridge was leaking water on floor, towel rack in bathroom broken, door to outside had significant gap, beds were not comfortable and pillows small. Would never stay again. We wouldn't have stayed in first place but it was late and were very tired. Considered sleeping in the car instead!
Just gross. They charged us twice cause payment on first card was processing?! Yea just wait? Room was disgusting, dirt on floors not swiped, hair on towels that were yellow, dirty walls, needed painting, there was some yellow stains on the bathroom walls! Room smelled like an ash tray even though it was non smoking. I was hot like hell no way to regulate temperature. I would never come back here. Payed $52...it was worth maybe$35 top. Should have payed $10 more and stayed at super8.
the credit card processor was not operative....which tends to make me nervous ...however, did not experience any challenges ... this was an old motel...and obviously needs some upgrade...i.e. relace worn carpet would be a start....the breakfast was bare bones....a place to rest after a long day on the road.
Bed very hard no sleep dirty towels sheets were gritty like bed just made not washed gaps in door cold air blowing in toilet seat broken not happy customer we will not stay here agian try bus stop or car next time
