We stayed last night (June 24th) at this hotel after spending a Day Out With Thomas the Train in Connersville. I had looked up hotels in the area on hotels.com and picked this one because in the pictures it showed an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. I figured it'd be good to have the indoor pool in case of rain. Well obviously after getting there we found there was no outdoor pool. It wasn't a big deal because we didn't end up arriving until around 6pm and it was actually a little chilly outside but if I had planned my stay around the outdoor pool, I'd be a little upset! I even went back to hotels.com to make sure I hadn't been looking at a different hotel. It definitely has a picture of an outdoor pool right next to the pics of the indoor pool. Again, no big deal for us. It worked out and we had so much fun in the nice indoor pool. Water was a little on the cooler side but we had a lot of fun playing in the pool. Pool is open from 6am-11pm which was also nice for a late night (or early morning)swim! Front desk was very helpful and pleasant. Room was very nice and very clean! Bed was so incredibly comfortable I am wishing I was in it now! We had a room with two Queen beds. Also had a nice tub and shower. Great neutrogena shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and lotion. Hot breakfast was served from 6am-10am in the lobby. Had two waffle makers. Very delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the hotels.com website showing pictures of this hotel having an outdoor pool. We really enjoyed our stay!
The front desk staff were very friendly and informative. The room was clean. We could easily hear the people in the room above us walking around late into the night so a little sound proofing between rooms would be a nice update. My daughter loved the pool. It was very clean and she said it was warm. It did have a strong chlorine smell to it and her eyes watered for awhile when she got out but I guess you don't have to worry about germs that way. Overall we were happy with our stay. The hotel was near the interstate so it was a quick stop on our way home. There was a McDonalds on the same street and several other restraunts close by. Great location.
I have stayed at the Richmond Hampton Inn on several occasions, most recently a few weeks ago. The rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is also very good. Will stay there again in the future.
The advertised heated pool was cold and filthy dirty. The duvet cover was pretty but scratchy to the point we had to pull the inside cover out and it looked dirty. We told the front desk also the tv was going out and they did nothing.
This hotel was a quick stop for us on the way to a car meet. I wish the car meet had been at this hotel instead of the one we finally arrived at. The staff was incredibly friendly and there was always someone there to help us. The phone was always answered. Check out was easy. Highly recommend.
Recommend this property. Beds were as comfortable as any I've experienced. Internet connection was poor was only real issue. Elevator also had issues. Breakfast was quality and staff was very helpful.
In Richmond Indiana you might be tempted to try another hotel as this market dictates a greater cost for a hotel let alone a premium hotel. I stay here at the Hampton because I can always expect the Hilton experience. A well trained staff, a clean room I can count on and a consistent high level of service. I travel for business and have tried a less expensive hotel in this market and the drop off from the Hampton to the other less expensive hotels is great. You can look but you will not find a better hotel in this market. I do not need a bar or restaurant in my hotel when I travel and if you do the area is rich with local, quality choices.
Large well appointed rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast includes made to order omelets and ability to take a tray up to your room. Soaps and lotions by Neutragena - real plus for those with allergies!
This is a good stopping place for us when traveling from NC to Wisconsin. The hotel is clean. Conveniently located just off the interstate and close to restaurants and gas stations. There also good restaurants downtown that are only about a 10 minute drive away.
We arrived late from a wedding on our way to the Indy 500. The property is relatively new and fresh - our King room was excellent and I used the digital checkin for the first time to select the room which was very well done.
