I hope my review can help others who have booked this hotel, there are pros and cons to this holiday resort. When me and my family arrived we were taken on a buggy to our room, I was shocked by how far our room was from the main reception. While this isn’t a massive problem I would say it is if you are by yourself. The road that We had to walk from the main reception to where we were staying was not lit up, nor was it private land, it was a road that anyone could drive down, at night you don’t feel safe walking it and you feel so far away from the main reception. You literally have to walk out of the hotel, Cross a road and walk down a dark road a few hundred feet. It was all very odd! We asked if we could move as my mum and I were not happy about this. I must say the hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly and said we could move for 150 euros. We went to view another room within the main complex but the room was very dated and what I could only describe as a room you would expect at Butlins. We decided to sleep on it and the next morning made the choice to stay in our far away room. This was due to the fact our room was very big and newly refurbished so it made sense to stay. My friend and her family had a room next door to us and there’s however was not newly refurbished and what they described as a room you would get in prison. Unfortunately it seems it’s luck of the draw because some have been refurbed and some not! There are approx 8 pools so lots to choose from, our pool in the far away complex that we stayed in looked like it had never been cleaned around the edges and was so filthy dirty, and your room does not get cleaned every day. The rooms itself though were clean and so were the restaurants. I also found the food to be of good standard with three restaurants you can book as part of your all inclusive deal. These were also very good! Be prepared however that there are only around 4 cocktails available for all inclusive and wine on tap in the restaurant, otherwise anything else you have to pay for. Pretty poor really, do not expect a pina colada unless you are willing to pay 7 euros! Bottles of Water are also not part of your all inclusive deal so be prepared to pay, although you do get a bottle each left in your room when it is cleaned. The water park was ok but my child is only 2, but it’s great for older children. The rooms are all dotted around the water park but you do feel like your in a different hotel if your not staying in the main building. Strange lay out in my opinion. The entertainment was cheesy but great for children, safe to say my son had a lovely time. Plenty of baby pools around also! If you have a young child who drinks cows milk then I would suggest bringing formula because my child had to drink UHT milk out there for bed time because it was near on impossible to get fresh milk even in the supermarkets surrounding the resorts. Nappies are available but I tried 5 different shops and couldn’t get the size I needed so in my opinion best to be prepared. I chose this resort because my friend was getting married near by but if your a beach person like me then this side of Greece is not for you! The beach is very pebbly and the water goes deep as soon as you step out. Not overly safe for children. I found this disappointing. The other side of the island apparently have sandy beaches. If you stay here I thoroughly recommend you go into old town Rhodes. Great shopping with beautiful buildings. You can catch a bus from outside the hotel or a taxi is 20 euros one way. Would I go back to this hotel.....most definitely not, but we did have a lovely holiday despite some negatives. I would love to return to Greece as the people are so friendly but perhaps to where the nicer beaches are and a smaller hotel.
Very good customer service (especially main reception).Very professional personnel. Clean and tidy everywhere. Good food. Friendly atmosphere. Variety of entertainment facilities. Speak ukrainian and was very happy to find ukrainian speaking staff they were very helpful. Highly recommend.
We have spent the last 10 nights at this hotel and loved every minute and this review is split into two parts : Like / Dislike. First the Dislike....Please be aware that this hotel is on the flight path for Rhodes airport so you will get planes pasting at 300 feet (great if your a plane spotter)......The hotel is split into two parts, the main hotel and the annex area. The annex area is about a 2 minute walk away, although suitable for our stay we found the room cramped with minimal plug sockets and an inoperable hairdryer / fridge (you will have to unplug the tv to charge your mobiles, ipads etc) not ideal if you have several electrical goods. The room we were moved to was called the junior suite, room 3121 over looking the sea but this came at a 350 euro cost but worth every euro (cheaper to upgrade at the hotel than to go back to your travel agent,,,,,,,,,,, Like: Once settled into our new room with nice decor, large walk in shower, additional plugs sockets etc we started to explore the complex. Meals, the food that is on offer is quite extensive and there is always a good choice, during our stay we had king prawns and lamb chops cooked on the barbecue a Chinese meal on another day all very enjoyable. You can also book to visit other restaurants during your stay, Italian, Greek and the burger bar. At lunch time you can get a nice pizza or a gyros cooked in front of you at the pool bar but get there before the kids do..... The drinks are plentiful although I felt they are very diluted so you will need to ask for a large Vodka, Whiskey, rum etc, beer is your usual local brew and if eating lunch at the pool bar you can self serve beer and wine which helps to keep the queues short. In the main bar you are limited to two drinks per person so when you see the queue short take the opportunity to replenish your tipple. During our stay the sun beds were plentiful so no need to get up at some unearthly hour to secure your bed. Pools, at least five of them and you have access to a water park situated between the main hotel and the annex. All pools are spotless but they are not heated so depending on your holiday time slot the water may be cold. There are a few local shops scattered close to the hotel where you can purchase anything from alcohol, snacks pool floats lilo's etc, if your into your sports there is a bar about 5 minutes away that will show football etc and reasonably priced alcohol... All in all we found the staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful.. If your unsure of anything... just ask. Would we go there again...... Yes I would.
Fantastic place to stay, 3rd time for me and I will come back for sure. Excellent staff memebers, especially the bartenders and the waitress in the italian restaurant. They deserve the maximum stars possible! The Italian restaurant is a fantastic place to eat. The food is delicious and the service excellent. Fotini does that very well and always with a smile. So, i want to thank her for this because she deserves this ! Also a thank you to Andreas , Hercules and Elias for the lovely drinks .
My wife and i have just returned from another 10 days holiday at this wonderful hotel complex .We had the exact same holiday (10 days in May) as last year again flying with Jet2 and just like last year we weren’t disappointed .I can not speak highly enough of the Labranda hotel chain. From the minute you arrive the staff work tirelessly until it’s time to leave to make your holiday a memorable occasion. The reception staff couldn’t be more helpful. They have a wide range of different room types available to suit everyone. The food is good with plenty of choice. We will definitely be back next year as we like the place so much
We only stayed here for 2 nights, as a couple. Very big and busy hotel. We were checked in and taken to a nice, clean room overlooking the pool. There was only 2 sockets in the room and one of those was for the kettle, but the lead wouldn't reach the socket so had to boil kettle on the floor. Not the safest. There's a large water park in front of the hotel, but couldn't see anywhere to get drinks, if your kids want to spend all day here. There's another hotel block behind here which I think they use as an annex. Looked a little old an tired. The lobby to the hotel was welcoming and there's a guest relation area for booking the on site restaurants, a gift shop and a spa, where you pick up beach towels. There's a large pool with an animation team, in May it was Chocca block, there's also a quitter kids pool. The hotels on a gritty pebbly beach. The main dining room gets very busy and the food though plenty was just ok. They cater to quite a few nationalities. The snack bar nearer the beach open through the day was much nicer food. The drinks were OK, tried the vodka and coke but tasted strange and the wire wine took a bit getting used to. There are cocktails available and the Cuba libra was fine. Staff were friendly and the complex spotless. However, for us as a couple we chose the wrong place, it was too busy, hard to find a sunbed and evening meals a bit of a free for all. Better suited to families who want to interact with the animation team.
Another great holiday at this hotel , would highly reccomend this for a family vacation young and old you will enjoy it here , the entertainment are really good and a special mention for billy and shelly they are brilliant at what they do and keep you entertained throughout the day and always have time for you , dont miss there sunday night frolic to falaraki !!!! Awesome
We have been coming here for the past 6 years and can honestly say that the main reason why we keep coming back is due to the brilliant Animation Team - The gorgeous Shelly and the brilliance of Billy ! They certainly know how to give all holiday makers a good time from the young to the old ! They are both worth their weight in gold and an asset to the Lambranda brand and their company. Their enthusiasm for their job is infective . Keep up the fantastic work !!!
