Stay Apartments Laugavegur

3.5 out of 5.0

False advertising. The picture advertised is not the apartment you get. Clean, but needs attention to spruce up walls, pealing paint on woodwork. Thin walls between upstairs and apartment. Neighbor came home and woke us all up at 1am. Left jewelry behind and sent note to owner or Manager describing. No answer.

A slight walk to downtown, but was a great fit for us. You can't beat the price and the quality this had to offer...will book again on the next trip out!

This was a good solution for our family of 4. The apartments are located in a residential building on Laugavegur street part of which is the main pedestrian only, shopping street in Reykjavik. It is an easy walk to anywhere in the center of Reykjavik. Although the building is on Laugavegur, you can only get in from the back of the house. The apartment was well maintained and decorated. It has a kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom and a bathroom. It is priced much more reasonably than what we would have to pay for two hotel rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

My sister and I booked this apt. for the 3 days after Iceland Airwaves and wished we could have stayed here the whole time (but was already booked during fest). They rushed to clean our room so we could check in early since we had 2 hours in between our checkout from the other place. It is on a main street but bedroom was in back so was not such a big issue for noise. Very spacious with kitchen and bathroom bigger than my home. Wi-fi worked perfect, heat was never a problem, and free use of washer and dryer helped out a lot. The apartment is less than five minutes from main shopping district, bus stop, but nothing is too far in Reykjavik. It was a great deal for the price since it cost same for this apt that could have slept least 3 people as the guest house where we had small shared facilities with room that was way smaller. The only things I would have liked was coffee maker, larm/clock, hair dryer, and maybe ironing facility. All in all, fantastic value.

Thank you for taking the time to express your view regarding your visit to our apartment hotel. We take all reviews positive and negative very seriously, and your feedback will help us improve for our next guest or your next visit. Your advise on improving our facility most certainly will do so. We would like to express our apologies for any inconvenience such as other guests waking you up. We do have a simple rule for all our guests and that is to be courteous to other guests and keep the noise level down no matter what time of day. Regarding the left behind jewellery I believe we did answer you the morning after you sent us an email reporting it and sent it back to you after you provided us with your address. On a positive note, we are very happy that you liked our location and that you found our beds to be comfortable. We do strive to provide the best experience to our clients. Thanks for staying with us. We do hope that we are able to welcome you back in the future.
